- What a great job they did with this one. Literally every pvp perk you would want is here. In this video I actually go through all the perks and how they interact with the frame and fluid dynamic origin trait. It's up to you on what you want to fit your playstyle.

Edit: Tons of bots. They have been everywhere on YT. Don't click anything, report and block.
What do you think of it?
I would highly advise trying out the Amit ar2 because that auto rifle despite it being a 450 is surprisingly consistent I have a crafted role on it and Amit is doing wonders for me I've even using PVP despite its perks but dynamic sway is pretty nice. Also I don't know if it's me but whenever a auto rifle has high record direction it tends to feel more inconsistent as if it's jumping out of my hands. On as to why I am vouching for the amit if solely because of the 450 Auto rifle buff that makes this thing almost hit his hard as vex with a faster fire.
I was grinding the Iron Lord title on my alt and got so many good rolls that now I want to get some rolls on my main ... I wish there were more weeks of triple xp...
It's incredible. Got one with 62 range/33 stability/62 handling with perpetual, KC and HCR and it's just awesome, feels great for PVP. Very smooth. Insta pvp classic. Only downside is that I feel overconfident on wielding it.
It rained nothing but PvE rolls for me during Iron Banner, Subsistence Golden Tricorn/Demolitionist Golden Tricorn/Grave Robber Swashbuckler/Threat Detector Surrounded, but I don't think I saw a single Kill Clip roll the entire week. Oh well, combatants hate it!
I somehow got a perk for perk perfect roll after like 4 drops, and its amazing!
Something that's interesting, and a lesson learned from you. I realized I do best with "win now" perks that give me an advantage getting the first kill, not the follow up (win later). Thanks for that.
That's me too. I usually get team shot mauled so much on the follow up encounters that i focus on what can help me get that initial duel kill. Works out a lot better.
Funny enough I started realizing I am the opposite I loose focus or get cocky and the win later perks allow me the ttk or dueling efficiencies to make those mistakes big or small with comfort and enjoy my playstyle while improving it by being aware.
Same. I build every gun to be the best in the now, not in a theoretical kill chain.
@@Suuuede i've lost waaaay too many 1v1 to get cocky 😅. on a weapon like this tho, splitting the difference of first contact vs followup with something like perpetual or moving target / kill clip i could probably do some work with. a little something on both sides of the fight
i realised this a while back in like 2019 when i got my dsr + tap the trigger black scorpion 4sr... i miss that thing but not enough to keep it past sunsetting. now i'm waiting for bungie to release another veist rapid-fire scout that can roll that combo. if it ends up craftable too... i might actually enjoy the crucible again 🥵🥵🥵
Got a few variations of Dynamic Sway/ Rangefinder, and I love them. Bonus stability at the top and bottom of the mag with better range makes for a very consistent roll
I landed this roll with ricochet rounds and fullbore, though I'd prefer corkscrew or smallbore. The thing is a laser. I use it in combination with Forerunner. It is amazing.
@@yourcanadianidol I use mine with forerunner too!
That's the roll I am waiting for.
I have a pretty nice jack of all trades roll, I got hammer forged, ricochet, range MW and rangefinder so it's got awesome range.
Then I got subsistence and the alternate perk next to rangefinder is golden tricorn, so I've got subsistence/rangefinder for PVP and subsistence/Tricorn for PVE on the same roll, I'm really happy with it.
Personally, I think dynamic sway doesn’t work well with this gun bc it takes .6 seconds to activate and you’re already around halfway through the mag at that point. I think having pulse monitor+rangefinder is better because if you get injured, even if you’re blasting the smg and low on ammo, it reloads and you can keep spraying
Always solid with the reviews. Thanks to you, I recognized Harmony as an S tier pvp perk. Out of Bounds and Submission with double Harmony on Peacekeepers Titan has been so much fun. Also have the classic heating up/kill clip which is great
That sounds amazing lmao, should try it with Tarrabah for extra meme-beam potential
Been running the same kit but with Forensic Nightmare instead of Submission, (ain't had an opportunity to do the raid yet), and it's smashing good fun!
@@Laevaryl I tried Tarrabah and it works great but the idea is constant swapping between Smgs, which kind of ruins the Tarrabah momentum. Tarrabah slaps still
The feel, the origin trait, the ttk....
The last time I was this excited for a Crucible weapon was Frozen Orbit!
Don't forget aesthetic! Olomon smgs look so cool!
@@herbilk8093 agreed, they really have nailed that too. Honestly, although I prefer D1 armour for the most part, these weapons are WAY better looking in D2
I'm going to add 2 more rolls that I think are worth a shout.
1: pulse monitor/under-over
Going into 3v3 playing against a lot of overshield titans, this allows you to rip those shields off quickly and get an instant mag reload while in combat essentially allowing you to fire 2 mags worth of ammo with every engagement without reloading.
2: dynamic sway/rangefinder
Great at dueling and getting the initial kill. Kill clip has more after kill potential, but if you're trying to get the initial kill, this is the roll you're looking for.
Good video as always coolguy!!!
Rangefinder threat detector has absolutely been feeling buttery smooth. Plus it basically has built in tap the trigger with its foundry perk. It’s so nice
I wanna say thank you, before watching your videos my destiny experience really sucked. You taught me things that I never knew about, your videos are extremely detailed and you leave no word unsaid. Thanks for your videos and all the effort you put into making these.
Big thing about this gun which i don't see talked about enough, it is an arc weapon with grave robber and swash together that combo on an arc hunter or titan is insane
I use a roll like that for Pve. Grave robber+tricorn would also be nuts for Titans and warlocks
@@SupremeBananaLord and hunter still too with combination blow lol
I tend to prefer Threat Detector because I usually only use SMGs as swap weapons to punish shotgun rushers. The faster I can get the weapon out, the more likely I am to put them down before they get in range.
I can't stress enough how good heating up + golden tricorn feels in PvE. With golden tricorn x2 on top of character bound damage buffs im literally evaporating yellow bars in raids with a primary. It's crazy
I have a subsistence or grave robber w/ golden tricorn roll and its by far my favorite pve weapon right now. Golden tricorn x2 procs on a powered melee kill. With knockout on arc titan, unpowered melees with knockout counts as a powered melee for GT essentially giving you 100% up time on a 50% weapon damage boost while still being able to easily stack font of might.
Dynamic Sway Reduction actually works instantly when you fire and gradually gets to its maximum effect after 0.6 secs
1:37 LOOK GARY, THERE I AM!
Was great playing you, in IB ❤
I got the exact roll your talking about at the end and can confirm it’s the best roll I tried. I tried a bunch of KC rolls but without rangefinder it just wasn’t as magnetic.
My roll is hammer forged, ricochet rounds (godly on this), killing wind, rangefinder and range masterwork. It’s by far the best legendary smg I’ve played with.
I got a Smallbore, High Cal, Killing Wind, Rangefinder roll that quickly became one of my favorite crucible guns, it feels so good to use.
I really enjoy this SMG! My current roll is Killing Wind, Rangefinder with both Arrowhead and Hammerforge for barrels.
I'm satisfied with it but my ideal roll would be either Moving Target and Kill Clip or Killing Wind and Kill Clip.
Imagine if this thing could have Phase Mag...
Edit: If you're an Arc Titan using Heart of Inmost Light and have that Storm Nade spam build, go for Demo + Golden Tricorn in PvE. You'll pretty much always have that +50% damage up for ad clear or to melt majors.
Man I dropped so many OoB’s that I actually ended up deleting all of them… except this one for the exact reason you stated!
Demo/Tricorn is such a good roll for PvE grenade builds. Still chasing that on an Unforgiven for my Void lock
After playing enough IB to reset my rank, and running crucible prosperity the whole time, I have a whole vault page of these things. Thank God for Coolguy helping us hoarders find the diamonds in the rough.
I never really liked using smg's . But last season I started using them in pvp and I really like them now . Oob"s is a great weapon for pvp . I can't believe more people aren't using it in pvp . They just don't want to give up using their shot gun . I understand I usually use shot guns in pvp . But man out of bounds is just to good not to use . Just like TV said you get a speed boost because it's a light weight weapon and it is accurate as hell .
My first drop of this smg this season had threat detector and surrounded and had been my main pve primary ever since
I find myself pleasantly surprised Bungie put this weapon out there. I have heating up/kill clip and this thing shreds. Perfect counter for SG rushers as long as you backpedal. Another great review.
Not only is thing thing a PvP monster, its also got some of the best PvE rolls you could ask for.
I have 3 rolls on this weapon that I use:
Perpetual motion + kill clip
Subsistence + adrenaline junkie
Dynamic sway reduction + tap the trigger
I love this weapon because it synergizes with arc 3.0 so well.
I have a Killing wind range finder with smallbore, accurized, and a range masterwork, and I have never used an SMG that feels so clean. This thing is a monster
My first drop fit my play style almost perfectly. 4/5 roll for me
Smallbore / Polygonal
Armor Piercing / Light Mag
Demolitionist
Rangefinder
Reload MW ( want / need either range or handling MW )
Such a smooth 900 on console
I got an insane roll recently perpetual, killing wind, tunnel vision paired with range finder and kill clip. Only things I would change is to switch TV for dynamic sway, and get tap the trigger as a third perk in column 4.
Yep. Actually been running a double primary set up our Outbreak and this. Really fun to use.
Just last week in the middle of Iron Banner I finally pulled that Killing Wind Rangefinder roll and I have been REAL excited to bring it into Trials this weekend.
For PVE things I've got both a Demo / Tricorn and Subsistence / Tricorn. I'm having a ton of fun with them on my Heart of Inmost Light Storm Grenade Titan (it's a slight variant of the build Aztecross put out), but personally prefer the Subsistence roll - it's just a bit more mindless to kill and get the reload that way than the grenade throw to reload combo, even though that's probably better.
Been waiting for your review of this all week! I've gotten at least 50 of these and my favorite rolls are max range PM/RF, HU/KC, and KW/RF. So many amazing rolls to try, my vault is busting at the seams!
Love this thing! My favorite roll so far is Threat Detector / Golden Tricorn and it's been effective and extremely fun in both PVP and PVE. It just synergizes so well with Arc 3.0 and the focus on speed and mobility. Definitely a great option!
I have 2 main rolls for both PvP and PvE. Full bore, ricochet, dynamic rangefinder with a range masterwork and a Demo junkie. Loving them to death and a perfect fit with Forerunner in PvP
I’ve got a demo rangefinder roll I use on a storm grenade build and it works so well. I love this thing
Same, it's so good
I have tried at least a dozen different rolls on this and the best dueling option I have come to is below. I know it is the unpopular opinion, but works for me (an average player who doesn't hit all critical on this type of weapon) :
Hammer forged, high cal, perpetual motion, gutshot straight, range mw
One thing to note is that Funnelweb can also get the Killing Wind/Rangefinder combo and has a higher base range with access to Accurized Rounds letting it push out as far as 22-23m depending on what barrel you go with, though on the other hand Out of Bounds may top off at around 20-21m ranges but it has more stability thanks to the Origin Trait and being able to have Ricochet Rounds
So now you get two different flavors of SMG depending on if you want more range (Funnelweb) or more stability (Out of Bounds) and of course also different elements if you're aiming for certain class synergies.
dynamic sway and rangefinder is absolute s-tier. The consistency is amazing
I'm not looking for this roll because I have a funnelweb with it, but Pulse Monitor and Rangefinder is a fantastic roll. Allows you to chain kills exceptionally well, especially when you have a way to heal like healing nades, wormhusk, devour, OEM, Lorely, etc. People do not expect you to be able to shoot forever
Added benefit with this SMG is that pulse monitor would retrigger the origin trait giving you the flinch resistance from that +20 stability.
I’ve used pretty much every roll of out of bounds this season, and I’ve also used plenty of god rolled funnel webs. If you want the range finder roll, you might as well go funnel web, you’ll feel the extra aim assist on those last few meters. I do think out of bounds has a place for your loudout if your running kill clip, or one of those melee or gernade builds with their respective perks. Of course a good range finder roll on it won’t be bad, funnel web just does it better. Out of bounds also feels a lot better than the IB smg to me, a lot of that is probably the origin trait.
I was grinding IB for a Perpetual Motion/Kill Clip roll, as that's always been a "feel good" roll for me in the past. A match or two later I get a Subsistence/Swash roll, and fell in love as soon as I tried it. This is a great-feeling gun, for sure.
Out of bounds is a great pvp smg but personally I have been preferring funnelweb with killing wind rangefinder. Out of bounds is a great farmable smg though, with some other unique options.
I can’t tell if there’s any meaningful performance difference between the funnelweb and out of bounds
I got a killing wind/range finder roll fairly quickly. I've kept other rolls... but that roll is just INSANE. It's literally so good. I have high-cal on it as well.
Corkscrew, Ricochet, Hip Fire, Adrenaline Junkie, Stab Masterwork, Icarus Grip is my go to. 98 Stability, 2.7 Cone Angle for headshots at base, 30% more accuracy, 70 Aim Assist, and 1.2x Aim Assist fall off, that's just from Hipfire. With Junkie I get 92 handling and some extra damage. Tie this with the 38 Airborne without my greaves, which brings it to 58. The thing's a monster. FYI that's without Fluid Dynamics.
i got a role last week while playing iron banner, killing wind with tap the trigger. Its an absolute beam, I paired it with PK titan for the first time and its so fun
My ultimate god roll (with dual tripple perks) would be
-Small bore
-Accurized rounds or Richochet rounds
-Moving target, Demolitionist, Killing wind
-Golden tricorn, Tap the trigger, Range finder
-Range or Stability Masterwork (probably range)
I have a bunch of good rolls from rocking a prosperity mod during eruption, but got a hammer forged, ricochet, killing wind, rangefinder with a range masterwork that is very nice. Perpetual motion with tricorn has also been nice in PvE
I have two rolls I’m running, max range: fullbore ricochet range mw on both.
The pairings are -
PM/(rangefinder/KC/AJ)
second is what I run, as I saw you running @CoolGuy, with my hawkmoon has KW/Harmony.
I never used dbl primary b4 and woah did this combo make me so satisfied. This thing with radiant and harmony is just nuts and then killing wind to make it just making followups so good in situations let me set hawkmoon 1 taps comfortably.
My very first one was perpetual kill clip with ricochet and chambered compensator, range mw. It's one of the best smgs I've ever used.
I got one to drop the other day and I’m loving it.
Hammer forged/high cal/pulse monitor/rangefinder/range MW
It’s consistently strong and that reload is clutch in gunfights because it is such a bullet hose. It’s like the best part of Veist Stinger but it will always proc.
Just got this exact roll.
Woot! I made it into one of Cool Guy's videos. Doing what I do best in Iron Banner.....getting killed. Love your vids brother!
Great review! Only thing is that the hero's burden isn't a lightweight, its an adaptive, so it has a diff time to kill. Therefore I would say that kill clip is unique to this weapon
Love it. I used tunnel vision/rangefinder and it felt great but now I have hip fire/rangefinder
I got a KW + RF roll. About to go ham in crucible now since I’ve seen this video. As always the best analysis CoolGuy🙌🏾
I've got like 7 or 8 of these now in my vault waiting for a good roll. I absolutely love this gun!
I got a roll with Adrenaline Junkie/ Pulse Monitor, and it’s saved my life more than once. It was a surprise, for sure.
I absolutely love this thing. I have so many nice rolls with it and have been playing around with it. Have REALLY been loving Grave Robber and Swash in PVE with my Liars build. Dynamic Sway and Rangefinder was my first roll and it feels so fucking good.
I have KW and RF on mine. Took it into trials yesterday and it shredded. Got really lucky on mine because it also has hammer forge, light mag, and range mw.
Ran my Arc Titan thru KF last night using this weapon with Tap the trigger/Demo. Cleared mobs with ease and Grenade was always up.
I got a max range roll, Full Bore, Ricochet, DSR and Rangefinder with Range Masterwork BEFORE crucible reset and man I have not been able to put it down. I ran multimach into the ground and this thing feels very good rn
I've seen a lot of comments talking about funnelweb. I think funnelweb is better to primary on generally speaking but out of bounds has some options funnelweb just doesn't. Out of bounds is the only energy lightweight smg to get either hip fire grip or kill clip. Hip fire on a lightweight makes a good hot swap option to fight aggro pushes if you don't want to play shotgun/fusion secondary, and kill clip is super fun in fast big team modes like the eruption iron banner we just had. I've been playing no time primary with a full bore/ricochet rounds/hip fire/rangefinder/range MW as a swap option and its been a blast.
Perpetual motion/kill clip with handling masterwork. Love it. I've got a Funnel Webb and Heros Burden with better stats across the board but Out of Bounds just feels great.
The crucible drops have been FIRE lately, riptide and out of bounds have amazing rolls in pvp and pve, hell I'm using them both more in PVE than I am in PVP even!
The corkscrew, flared, killing wind, rangefinder roll I have was the best that dropped for me so far. It feels amazing.
Cool guy, I got what I think is the nastiest out of bounds in existence the other day from an iron banner match.
Full bore
High caliber rounds
Killing wind (moving target)
Rangefinder
Range masterwork
Absolutely DISGUSTING on my striker titan with peacekeepers. Just so filthy. Can't wait to try it on all my run and gun classes
Good stuff 👍🏽I am going to post this in my clan Discord & use it for training.
The rolls I’m going for are
Pvp
Full bore/ricochet/range mw
Dsr/rangefinder
Heating up/KC
Pve
Fluted/flared/reload mw
Demo tricorn
Arrowhead, high cal, perpetual, rangefinder and range mw
Feels so good
My very first drop for Out of Bounds was Ricochet Rounds/Killing Wind/Rangefinder. I immediately Masterworked it and it's been my main Crucible energy weapon since.
I've been using double harmony smg build and its a dream. Peacekeepers are so good.
Got one with dynamic sway and rangefinder (but it has a reload masterwork). It's undeniably one of the best SMGs for PvP.
This gun is spicy. I got a perpetual motion + rangefinder with a range masterwork and it shreds people.
That's the one I want
@@nonyobusiness2904 Pro tip, if you craft piece of mind and craft it with perpetual motion, when you swap weapons the timer doesn't go away as long as you stay moving. So you basically will have 100% up time on that perk on both guns. Nasty!
Solid video. I love the breakdown on perks and potential combos. I also love how excited you are about the gun. Keep up that awesome content.
Dynamic Sway Reduction MAXES OUT at .6s, not starts at .6s; you can see the difference in bloom immediately when hip-firing with it vs without.
I wish once you reset your rank every gun of that ritual playlist was guaranteed a set amount of perks based on how many times you reset.
Ex. After two resets every crucible weapon would have 2 choices in 3rd and 4th column. And after 4 resets 3 choices in the 3rd and 4th column.
Guaranteed amount of perks but perks still random of course. That way your time is rewarded. This “chance” of these perk amounts after resetting only makes me go to a different game after 3-4 weeks until the event starts.
Noticed I killed you In Crucible yesterday with the cheese Fallout build so I bunny hopped infront of your ghost at Widow's Court. Then I tried to give you a hug and you filled my skull with this SMG lol.
I rocking at Heating up/Swash and its doing wonders for me. I do have a Perp/Gun shot and its my fav.
Need that killing Wind and harmony roll to pair with my sniper
What I noticed is that Omelette ons are the only brand with no min wobble. Other brands like Viest and Euros have a minimum amount of side to side wobble that is only really eliminated with a talent like Zen Moment. Omelette is pretty much a laser with a decent stability stat and does not wobble side to side.
It’s also why I actually didn’t like Recluse back in the day. I couldn’t get over the feeling of the gun trying to wiggle out of my hands.
Dynamic / rangefinder is my roll and it’s nuts.
Didn’t think I’d get an smg for while that competes with my rangefinder Borrowed Time.
FYI, golden tricorn x2 triggers on knockout melees. Grave robber golden tricorn is absolutely insane. 27 crit leads to a 6 head 2 body or 7 head 3 res of lower.
I got a hu/kc roll I'm keeping, even though everyone I asked about the roll said it's meh because I don't have perpetual motion instead, for me personally though I love it
I got two god tier PvP rolls. Haven't tried them yet. But one is high cal/pm/RF, the other is dynamic/tap. Really excited for perpetual/rangefinder though
Hey CoolGuy. I'mma talk about Out. of Bounds real quick. Real quick, I love this gun. I don't even have the roll I wanted but I've been running Demo Rangefinder and this thing just doesn't let go. This thing melts people in Crucible and it's a great pair with Defiance of Yasmin. Like holy cow. I can't wait to get my roll which is Perpetual Motion Rangefinder/Kill Clip.
I'm running that demolitionist with well-rounded on my grenade builds. +20 range, stability, and handling pretty much all the time. Honestly pretty decent in both pvp and pve
Using a demo/tricorn role I farmed out during iron banner quite alot in pve. Perpetual motion/killclip is my pvp roll.
You forgot Dynamic + Rangefinder. Pair those with Omelon FD, absolute perfection (my role also has Range MW which is godly)
This thing feels like funnelweb and I've had a ton of fun rocking demo+adrenaline junkie on this thing for my arc build in pve and it shreds.
What I was after was Killing Wind and Rangefinder, ideally with max range (masterwork, Full Bore, Ricochet Rounds)
What I got has Killing Wind and Rangefinder, but with Fluted, Flared and a stability masterwork - I'm not sure if I even want the full range roll now because having 83 stability to start off with makes this thing a laser, and with Killing Wind it gets up to about 20 meters.
this gun has made me love lightweight SMGs
FYI - Hero’s Burden is an Adaptive 900, not a Lightweight. But even Killclip is difficult to justify using with 14 zoom and Rangefinder in the same column. I did give Gutshot a try since I thought it could be interesting with this kind of spray weapon, but the AA hit was extremely noticeable on controller.
Killing Wind Kill Clip is my favourite perk combo in PvP.
I have to agree with dynamic kill clip. I gained .2 on my kd overall since season 18. First drop and haven't taken it off since
Heating Up, Kill Clip is my go to. I loved a similar roll on the Splicer Pulse though thats multi kill clip. Just like you I am looking for a full range Killing Wind Kill Clip though so crossing my fingers!
Moving target / Rangefinder + peacekeepers arc3.0 titan is absolutely amazing on controller. Fastest strafe possible in the game I think
When my top roll matches Cool Guy's recommended roll, I feel like the kid who knew all the answers in class.
Dynamic Sway and Tap the Trigger is pretty nutty
I got a ricochet, moving target, kill clip roll and I love it on controller. With a range masterwork
Dropped one yesterday with Arrowhead/Smallbore, Armor Piercing/High Cal, Moving Target/Tunnel Vision and Rangefinder/Tap The Trigger with Handling MW
Honestly I want a max range killing wind kill clip roll. I already have an amazing funnelweb with rangefinder so I want to lean more into kill clip with Out of bounds. Plus I feel like this roll on a Titan with peacekeepers is gonna be amazing.
Currently, my go-to pvp SMG.
