Thanks Zach for the very good video. I appreciate the tips on curing. I have been using the brushable Krazy Glue All Purpose for some time and like it very much as it has very low viscosity compared to Loctite or LePages. However I have never been able to use all the glue in a bottle as the lid/brush bonds to the bottle and become impossible to remove. I am trying a bit of petroleum jelly on the lid threads on my latest. Also it's possible to pick up the Sally Hansen's for $3 a bottle if one looks around. That makes it about 1/3rd the price of super glue and 1/10th the price of UV resin. Cheers

Lacquer works well in thinning Sally Hansons.

You should try the superglue “Hot Stuff Instant Glue” and “UFO Odorless THIN”
    - both superglues, super low viscosity, very close to water viscosity. If anyone’s sensitive to cyanoacrylate curing fumes, UFO is the same than HotStuff, minus the headache. HotStuff comes in various viscosities, look for the red label, that’s the runny one. I like using the long tips from the same brand. Great for chronies and most flies, unless you have lots of fluffy feathers. Due to the low viscosity, feathers can create a siphon effect and pull the glue into the feather. I mostly use it for chronies.

As a tyer for over 50 years, I never have had to coat any fly, or midge! If tied correctly, no need..Plus, added time for a commercial tyer is the kiss of death for production.

Thanks. Just wanted to ask if no coating is used and saw your opinions.

You can also add a few drops of nail polish remover to the hard as nails to thin it out.

Great, different and informative video, thanks Zach. Where do you get your cork with the plastic tops on them beside buying bottles of wine. :)

Very helpful, especially the UV curing tips. Apparently I’ve been applying the light for too long when curing the resin & will correct the way I’ve been doing it. Have you ever tried just using sunlight for curing? I’ve been blocking out sunlight from my tying area to avoid curing the resin as I’m working with it.
