- Get asked this question quite a lot so I thought id make a video on it. I think I went over everything about how much it cost to have one a ZL1 but if there is something that I missed then be sure to leave it in the moments and I will answer it. I hope you all enjoyed as this was a different type of video than I usually make so I tried to keep it entertaining for y'all, more videos coming in the next few weeks so make sure you stay up to date with everything!!
Nice man, I’m 24 & I paid 30K for my 16 2SS with 26K miles about 3 years ago. Fortunately I saved up for it since I didn’t want monthly payments so I bought it cash. I want a ZL1 next but looking for a house instead atm. However I think I would do monthly payments for a ZL1 & just put whatever they give me for my SS as a down payment but that’s later down the road. Want one so bad but ima be patient haha

Theres make one thing SUPER clear... theres a HUGE difference between a zl1 at 22 while living with mommy and daddy vs a zl1 at 22 while paying for rent, bills, food, everything else

i’m 24 and got my 2021 2ss and just focus on paying my car, hopefully one day i can afford a zl1 or hellcat, both are beast of a cars

Congrats on getting that beauty all on your own! They really ream younger people on ins. and interest, though. I just bought a 2018 at 3.9% int. and I only pay $100/6 months more for insurance than I did on my RS. I buy/insure my kids cars for this exact reason. Such a scam.

3. Does the Supercharger Temps get high if you do multiple pulls?
4. Are you considering any upgrades?
i do daily the z and if i’m not doing much during the week then i’d say it’s about $200 a month. but if i’m going out a lot then it’s more than double that, the car does heat soak but i’m not too sure about the exact temps. upgrades for the car? yes i got a plan on what i want to do to it. upgrade from the zl1?? also yes but that’s a lil secret still 😉

Congrats on the car man those things seem hella fun. I’m 19 right now and I’m looking to get a camaro for my first car. I just don’t know if I should go for the 2019 6th gen ss (10 speed is amazing) or a 5th gen Zl1 since they basically cost the same
tbh for the performance the 6th gen SS is pretty damn amazing and really would beat a 5th gen zl1 just bc of the weight and trans that’s in it, although i do love the 5th gen zl1 a lot and definitely want to own one along side with this one eventually. both great cars though can’t go wrong

You REALLY should shop around for insurance.. You can DEFINITELY get your insurance a LOT cheaper..

Damn you had a 15% interest I would’ve said no right then and there I own a 2020 camaro and my interest is only 4.99
My interest rate was 4.91% and I felt that was high.
yeah i jumped in the ss at the wrong time and had just started building credit so not the best option tbh, do not recommend. but the 4% on the zl1 turned out to be a lot better for me and honestly not too bad
@@BrokeZL1 no you didn't win bro. 4% on the higher price ticket is the same as a 15% on a lower price tag........But at the end of the day it's your money. I just suggest invest in things that go up in value not down.....the more your drive it the less it is worth. Good luck bro
This is the dumbest thing you could do as a 22 year old you will literally loose about 10,000+ in interest over the next decade you spend paying the car off. ZL1s are great cars but man but 1,300 a month is almost what I pay for my mortgage XD
I got a 2018 zl1 1le last year and am so glad I waited till I was older (im 29), and more in tune with my finances. I put a solid down payment which put my payment at $380 and insurance at $142 full coverage. I make sure to pay with 2 payments a month to pay the car off within 3-4 years Plus I don't have speeding tickets. You're going to be living with mommy and daddy for the next 10 years.🙃
This is how u buy ur dream car, live with ur parents(rent free), work 1 job or 2(if u can), have the very best credit, save. Ez for me to say but hard to do for sum people😢

i was able to get it for 52k before finance. This is my daily though and i’m in south east AL so it never snows here just gets cold for like 2-3 months fr
When you traded your ss did the price on the ZL1 go down or still remain as the sales price ?
The only reason the price went down on the Zl1 is they took off a few grand to make it more reasonable for me, they really hooked me up. But after they gave me the trade in I still owed $4,600 on the SS so I had to put that money down or it would go into the price on the Zl1. Its a lot of info here but that's the easiest way to put it

Hey Bro have you tried putting your insurance under someone else and making the payments? I had my sister add me to her insurance and I ended up getting better coverage and paying $150 less a month

there’s a lot of factors really. like down payment and credit score, and of course any bills that you have. I wouldn’t say you can’t but it would definitely be tough to mange to get one for that, also the new 10 speed 5.0’s are crazy impressive
