Thank you very much. After watching your video I opened the box and followed your advice. I didn't even look at the instructions.
    I really appreciate it.

More like 10 minutes but a job well done! Don't get upset with your kids when they tell you they be back in a couple of minutes and then show up 2 hours later! 😅😂🤣Thanks for sharing.

Very helpful video --thank you! As a point of interest, I bought my Tipton Best Gun Vise in 2011. It was made in December 2010 in the USA, so it appears the 'outsourcing' to China occurred between 2011 and 2015. The T-bolts and thumbscrews were in a flat, molded blisterpack (not ziplock baggies) but otherwise every part was identical to those in your video.

I like these better than some of the pricier all metal gun vises, being all plastic there is less chance of slipping by accident and marring up that prized engraved safe queen long gun that gets shot once a year 🙄. I like the Tipton cleaning rods too. Good basic assembly video. Thanks from the community.

Thanks for your very helpful assembly of the vise. Good job. PS For what it is worth, Amazon states, "Tipton gun vise, fits universal, gray. This product is manufactured in United States." My vise plainly states it is Made in China.

I am pitiful........I bought mine in 2008, had it in storage since then, said to myself, I need a good gun vise for scope mounting and night vision device mounting and I drug this out of storage, wow it is in excellent condition, no deterioration at all and your video was a life saver in assembling it and getting it into operation after only 12 years, bahahahaha!!

Yup. Most countries go smallest to biggest unit of time (D/M/Y). I prefer backwards, as it helps sort dates in a list.

Not a fan of Tipton gun vices. Cheesy light duty plastic - not good enough… I went with the Fire Teck gun vice, better in every way.

    • @viper8049

Understandable, but your expectations need to be realistic. Is it the best out there? HELL NO, but for the price point it is great for cleaning and light work. If you want a stable platform to do serious gunsmith work get something designed for that. This is a plastic sled, not a VISE. It does what it was designed to do. Now regarding their advertising/product claims...I have no defense for that. They should be upfront on what it can or cannot do. That being said, you can say that about almost all manufacturers from cars to cell phone carriers.

@@viper8049 The only expectation I had was to be able to securely mount a rifle level in it to mount a scope it will not perform that function

Made in China and it’s a cheap piece of plastic, it’s not worth the price, sorry that’s my opinion!
