Even though there are several bats prancing about recklessly in my "back room" I can't tear myself away from this great call! seems like the old days...lol
Always good stuff from the imagination of these guys. Been enjoying their music for 30 years now. Yeah, I'm old. lol. But still Rockin'! Glad to see the band hasn't thrown in the towel yet, as their music is like taking a journey without ever leaving the house. lol.
welcome, newbie. fan here since Pheadra. always room for more. it has been a long strange trip to borrow for the Grateful Dead. longer actually, and stranger.
TD haven't thrown in the towel because Edgar Froese approved the current trio to proceed after he passed on. So, there are only new members continuing the group and name. However, I must say this is one of the very few times I've been impressed with newer renditions of longtime favorite music groups - especially without any of the original members involved. This particular album is definitely enjoyable, but the overall commercial / less original vibe of the music hasn't inspired me to buy the CD yet, even though I do have the previous six CDs of "The Sessions" series and the great "Raum" album. Still, I've found this current (i.e. late 2010s - 2020s) TD trio to be far more compelling than most of the '80s, '90s, '00s and '10s TD music, so they've been a pleasant and welcome surprise for me.
❤❤❤Huuuge TD fan for more than 40 years now. Their Sessions are always great. I saw them three times. Gonna see them again in Leuven the 4.8. Greetings Dirk Belgium.
«TangerineDream» onu her dinlediğimde beni kendi yalanlarımla yüzleşmeye zorluyor 🥸
Quelle était la formation ici ? Franke, Froese, Baumann ???
As much as I love the band - I don't like the use of distorted sounds in places like someone has cranked up the volume to 11 other than that I love it all.
Is there more music like this? I love 36 but his new music isn't like this. TD is getting better, which is saying something because the post 2015 stuff started great.
sad I missed them in 2023. It was the weekend after Swans, and both at the same venue 11 hours' drive from my house. I had to choose Swans because that band isn't being passed to a new generation of musicians.
I must have played this over 50 times, and its a real master peace.
no pun intended?
Loved em since their soundtrack to the movie "Legend". Always mellow.
For me one of their best Sessions so far. Fantastic! Incl. the great Michal Lapaj!

Edgar Froese - Thorsten Quaeschning. Thorsten Quaeschning, Hoshiko Yamane, Paul Frick now.
How do they create these emotionally charged cords in every collection they release?

Klaus Schulze, Manuel Göttsching, Thorsten Quaschning (Behind Closed Doors, from bandcamp), State Azure
