The Confederate Flag is awesome!👍 It's a part of our history and should never be erased. 👌
The Confederate Flag is a symbol of slavery nobody should be proud of a racist history that put Black people in bondage.
Everything about the Dukes of Hazzard is cool, doesn't matter what it is
One time when I was in the hospital,my parents got me a 750 page Dukes of Hazzard coloring book that I had for ten years before the book was all colorized
When I was in the hospital, after the episode that Cooter stole Limo 1, my sister called me. I being a dad gum Yankee broke into a Redneck drawl. Yes I did have the T-shirt with John and Tom on it.
My family was a Nielson Family. I'm the reason The Dukes of Hazzard was on the air for so long.
Back in the heyday Dukes of Hazzard merchandise equaled Star Wars in some years on sales and kids love back in the 1980s.
Dukes of Hazard was a great show. A lot of boys became men back then thanks to Daisy Duke.
The Dukes of Hazzard Race Set you showed at 11:54 is actually fake (thank god lol). You can tell because the photo in the top left is from the Autotrader Commercial that John and Tom did in 2012 I believe.
I had the General Lee Wrist Racer. That was such a great toy.
Dude this video is hilarious! Hahaha! I have the card game, some of the coloring books, and everytime I go to Cooter's Place and see some of the merchandise and just laugh. And the Dukes had POC stars with recurring roles throughout the whole show. Sheriff Little for example. That show was all about love and doing good by the people around you.
Yes sir, looking back,I seem to remember having a general Lee made out of soap. Also my very first Shrinky Dinks were the Dukes. Man I miss the 80s
I was a big fan of the Dukes. I enjoyed the show as a kid.
I eat corn pops outta a vintage dukes cereal bowl EVERY DAY.
Coy and Vance weren't the best idea on Warner Bros part, but for coming in blind, those two did a good job carrying the show on. They held the fort down while Tom and John were protesting. Byron has become a good friend of mine, and he is a really good dude.
Byron & Christopher had some mighty big shoes to fill. You don't just re-cast the LEADS on a hit show mid-series and survive. The fact that Dukes lived-on after Coy & Vance for 2 more seasons shows how good of a job they did. A good many show has shut down production permanently after losing the leads. Give my best to Byron.
Man you are funny as hell 🤣😂🤣😂... I'ma black dude and I love the Dukes of Hazzard as a kid...had all the action figures and the general Lee...as a child I thought that flag was their version of the American flag lol... until I got a little older... but I still love that show... because I am a country boy and seeing some cool guys in a cool car that stay in a place that looks similar to where I stay was right up my alley...Bo was my favorite....and Daisy she could play with my good ole boy anytime 😂.... seeing Bo play as a villain in a black soap opera seems kinda weird but honestly he plays the hell outta that character for real... good damn job...but I'll always see him as Bo Duke lol.....yeeeeeee haaaaaa 😂
I'm black, and I grew up watching Dukes of Hazzard, too. I used to jump ramps on my bicycle and yell "Yeee-Haaa!!", because I too, lived in the country.
I used to think of the flag as meaning rebellion against authority, and I guess Southern / Country / Good ol' Boy pride, but obviously, it can mean other things, especially nowadays.
My black mother-in-law is from Georgia, and she and her whole family watched it back in the day.
@@nerdrock8087 yooooooo me too....aw u brought back memories... those were the days
Now you know you never paid or sent that Star Wars plate back 😉 LOL! BTW
Friday Night was
7:00pm Incredible Hulk
8:00pm Dukes of Hazzard
9:00pm Knots Landing
10:00pm Dallas
😉
I remember one of Roscoe's jokes. 'What did the one casket say to the other?' 'Is that you *coughin*
Wierd cartoon series,I bought it at Cooters in Nashville
I wanted Hughey Hogg's beetle, didn't get one til modern times and from Australia...too much money to spend on ebay
Yeah, it was always a major fawking bummer when the teachers took ya toys...😒...ugh...👎🏼💯✔️
Some things weird about the comments. It says 35 but I only count 8
Sometime around 82-ish there was a watch maker that had a digital face and chimed “Dixie”. Every boy was getting their parent to buy them one and it got where all you’d hear was their watches going off that the teachers took them away if you were caught. Not sure if they were nelsonic watches …
The Nelsonic Pac-Man watch played _Dixie_, as seen here: ua-cam.com/video/6cJ-mdJG5ps/v-deo.html
Every Saturday I'd spend the day with my Grandmother (RIP) & sometimes she'd surprise me with a Dukes of Hazzard coloring book. I remember I was sooo happy to get these. Great memories I'll never forget.
Love me some Duke Boys toys! As a kid I had about 3-4 sets of the Matchbox 3 pack with Boss Hog’s Cadillac, Roscoe Pico Train’s police cruiser and of course the General Lee! I also had a stunt set with a wind up or pull chord General Lee that would crash through obstacles and fly off jumps in a Hazard County play set deal. Also had a powered of pull back watch General Lee where ya opened the cover and it took off YeeeeHaaaa!
Hey, Junkman! How about tracking down the kids in the DoH Power Cycle commercial? Yeeeeehaaaaaw!
I had the Dukes of Hazzard Power Cycle, the plate, a plastic coffee mug that came wth the plate. I also had the lunch box and the Dukes of Hazzard board game. My favorite thing was the General Lee peddle car I had. It had a lever that played the dixie horn. The hood and trunk would open.
Scrapin' the dirt? Those aren't the words. 😄
Pardon folks meant to say Dukes of Hazzard.Sorry JUNKMAN I been up all day no sleep.
I was an adult before I realized and understood what they theme song lyrics meant. It’s not “scrapin’ the curves,” it’s “straightenin’ the curves.” Meaning, as you drive down winding roads crossing the center line repeatedly to make the most efficient line down the road; traffic laws be damned.
Mmm, eating mashed potatoes off of Luke's face and then coloring parts of Bo blue. What more could kids want? 😈😁
So wtf ...r u saying my lower back tattoo with Corey and Vance Duke ISNT cool?!
I watched some of the episodes but never really was a huge fan but a next door a neighbor boy wanted me to assemble a General Lee charger model kit car for him and that’s about it and his little brother loved the Dukes n Hazard so much he had a huge pull out paneling sheet under his bed and on that sheet was a train set and guess what else the town of Hazard he’d play w his Dukes n Hazard hot wheel cars’s and that Junk Man was a real TALE FROM THE 80’s
I had the Dukes of Hazard board game and the lunch box and some of the die cast cars from Ertyl.
Also Bo Luke did wear a cowboy hat briefly in a couple of episodes of season 1 (its even in the season one intro )
In the movie a Christmas story, which was set in the great depression, one of the kids in Ralphie’s class has a Dukes of Hazzard watch on.
Rewind the clocks to EARLY 80's. Other kids loved Star Wars. I was a car kid and a Dukes fanatic! 02:04 I had the tray, 03:01 I had the book, 05:08 I had the stunt car. 09:27 I definitely had the big wheel. I got hurt a couple of times trying to jump it until it finally broke. 11:09 had the yoyo, don't know why, The other items on here I don't remember if I had or not, but I definitely remember it's existence after watching this. I still have a couple of Dukes items. Great video, like a walk down memory.
Roscoe wrote and starred in a movie called THE Killer Shrews, the sequel had John Schneider.it came out not long before Roscoe died
General Lee is one very cool car. I have one in my modest toy car collection in my room. The stunt buster is cute! Oh, and Daisy Duke is very easy on the eyes.
The General Lee was a very cool car, but the hot blond driving it was even better
My brothers would wach I'd be playing with barbie
You can get the complete series dvd set, original box set had the flag on it and is expensive makes u wonder if they went through and blurred out the flag on all the episodes like the did with vintage wwf footage
Had the shit board game... and the coolest slot car track... except you needed a friend to race with with the slotcars but no one would be Roscoe cop car
The best Dukes of Hazzard toy of all time was the inflatable daisy duke love doll.
Holy crap, I had that trash can when I was 12, I had forgot about it till just now. Thanks for the flashback.👍👍
Our local library has DOH on DVD.
USA!
USA!
USA LIBRARY SYSTEM! system
Mine does, too, last I checked.
Daisy Duke 💘
I had a Dukes of Hazzard bicycle!
Lol.....you always make me laugh.....ty
I think I had a little general lee that was in a watch? You wound up the gl and it drove out of the watch
I found that same tv tray in my basement, it belonged to my brother in law, we wrapped it up and gave it to him for Christmas a few years ago
I had the trash can, wrist racer, that shirt (NOT THE COY & VANCE ONE), that yo yo & even a metal tv dinner tray! I LOVED the Dukes! By the way, as popular as that car was, why wasn't that flag ever considered "racist" THEN? Wasn't until Obama became President that the South & anything symbolizing its history was considered an issue, right? Anyway, great video junkman!
😅 I love the Dukes of Hazzard.
I had all the toys, 3,5 inch, and also all the cars, except Cooter...,I think.
The only problem with those toys, was the lack of playsets.
Back then, we had to get creative and use some crazy imagination.
I remember one year using the Nativity scene, from the bottom of the Christmas tree, with my toys. I even tried to do the voice over....
'This week the Duke boys need to stop Roscoe and Boss Hogg from foreclosing on a very special Manger!
Don't miss out, while Bo and Luke teach Boss Hogg the true meaning of Christmas!
See you then, good buddies!
I hope one day you get a Luke Skywalker plate you can keep!
If you came to school wearing a Coy and Vance Dukes of Hazzard shirt you were sure to get a butt wippin even if you had a ring around the rubber poking through your Dukes of Hazzard wallet.
Season 1 of the Dukes of Hazzard did have cowboy hat wearing Duke Boys and Coy and Vance were good for what they were given
I'm an 80's kid & I absolutely loved the Dukes of Hazzard! I remember all these toys lol I had a die cast scale model of the General Lee after the plastic car with the action figures I got for my bday was broken on opening it, & my parents couldn't get a replacement as they were all sold out! ( My bday is close to Xmas so that's probably why lol) And full disclosure, I owned the Dukes of Hazzard soundtrack with the cast all singing songs on vinyl!
The cup and bowl.i had
Loved the Dukes of Hazzard growing up. I kinda had the wristwatch car too but the ramp was a ring instead of the wristband. I also had the Ertl/ matchbox cars from the show
Great vid Junkman! I loved the Dukes of Hazzard growing up and had the mego figures. The GI joe size set with the figures & car was awesome! I believe I had that stuntbuster too. As a black man ! thoroughly enjoyed DOH back then and still do today, lol. Good times.
Man I'm from Western Kentucky Hopkins county James best the one that played Rosco is buried in muhlenberg county right next to mine between Greenville and Central City they have a James best way is the name of the road
Hey bro, currently working on a video from a Dukes of Hazzard event I went to back in October, and there I saw a Dukes Wallet! Is it cool for me to use a clip of you talking about the Dukes wallet in the video? I will give credit to you on screen for the clip!
Sure. Just put ThatJunkman.com on it
I had a toy Dukes of Hazzard plastic guitar ,bed sheets, many roy replicas of The General Lee
Towards the end if this video, you mentioned that you hope to see Dukes of Hazzard episodes on any streaming service. But several years ago, all of the tv streaming channels were forced stop showing this show, due to flag seen on the roof of the General Lee car. Therefore, the only way to see the episodes again is on DVD. Each season has it own DVD box. For me, I borrow them from a local library.
Straightenin’ the curves, flattenin the hills.
I’m only a few years younger than Junkman and this always take me back.
There is no dumb Dukes of Hazzard merchandise. It's all cool.
Junkman, I had 1/2 the stuff on this video. Duke boys, Star Wars, & pac man summed up my childhood
Here's another fun fact. Since the Duke Boys were always chased by Roscoe and Enos all day long and then all night at the Boars Head, I swear as God is my witness I thought you couldn't get arrested at night. Fun fact if you shoot flaming arrows at a police cars at night, you will absolutely get arrested.
I still have the little diecast car and the large size diecast car, loved ‘em both. Anyone remember that awful Enos spinoff show?
I did find the first season of The Dukes of Hazzard on DVD a few years ago at Walmart, snatched it up for $9.00.
Straightening the turns junkman lol no curbs were scraped 😂
I just got the small Daisy Duke figure like I had as a kid.going to get uncle jesse and boss hogg one day.I remember in the candy aisle they had Boss Hogg bubblegum cigars.don't think they would make those nowadays
One should carry a condom in their Dukes of Hazzard wallet, you never know who else has been inside the Boar’s Nest🤣
@10:10 Jumps out from behind the bush and yells don’t eat that Cooter! I’d say, mind ya business cos I like eatin’ cooter!! Mmmmm mmm!
I had the coloring book. I remember one page with Boss Hogg. There was nothing to color. Lol..
If The Dukes of Hazzard was racist, then why did Bo and Luke have friends that were black
I had the coloring book and the General Lee with the Star Wars sized action figures. Loved those toys!!!
Loved the General :)
Great video!!! I love the Dukes of Hazzard show. I’ve actually met the actors more than once and I have their autographs!! Very Nice people Keep up the good work. 😎
I had 3 Dukes of Hazzer cars when I was small. The hot wheels, the 1 u pull back and runs off and the big one with an action figure in it.
I had the wrist racer too...
I had that Boss Hogg hat it was made out of hard white plastic! Think I must have bought it separately as I don’t remember those other things in the box! Great show lovely memories
I still have the tray. two of the stuntbuster sets, the wrist cars, the ring cars, coloring book, various models and action figure sets. I did not have the plate but I had the matching cup. My grandparents bought the dash for my brother when he was a toddler. About the tray I still used it well into the 2000s. I only retired it when a leg begin to act like it wanted to come off. I am disabled and it was much more comfortable to eat on my couch than at the table.
Loved the Speed Jumper set, my most wanted and main event Christmas gift in 1982. Loved how the car accelerated & jumped the ramp when the notch on the track triggered the switch on the bottom of the car. I had that card game set and bought it again recently on Ebay. Had the board game, coloring books, action figures, Barnbuster set, Die cast General Lee. Several 1/64 scale cars....etc. Loved that era.
Well this wasn't a toy but a luncxbox from Aladdin.
I had the Wrist Racers.
That wrist launcher I forgot I actually owned that until I saw it on eBay a few weeks ago. I’m not sure what happened to the wrist case but that car floated around my house until the early 90s.
My cousin gave me that TV tray for Christmas last year. Best gift I received!
Ha, I had that General Lee Wrist Racer. It was awkward & nonsensical - I tossed the wristband & kept the car.
Didn't I give you a bunch of my Dukes customs?
Yea love them! Only toys I have outside the junk room
When I was a kid we had a pool table in my aunt and uncle's house and me and my cousin would pretend like we were the Duke boys and we would slide across the pool table and underneath it pretending like we were sliding through the windows.
making bowls in shop, lol
Fukin need that plate.
...fukin want ALL OF IT!!
I watched it when I was a kid I have the complete series on DVD and I have the tray and the wrist racer the figures and the general lee toy car
It was definitely Friday nights! At 8:00 CBS
just when I thought he was not going to mention wrist racers.... I had those. pretty sure the wrist part made it 2 days then I just had wind up cars.
Was that one car a penny racer? Seemed about the same size. Think you pulir a penny in the back, pulled the car backwards and let it fly, it did some wheelies and stuff, IF I am remembering correctly. I used to love the hot wheels style General Lee. Get a cop car matchbox or hot wheels and you have some fun!
If it ain't on the General Lee it's just the world's first second place award.
I had the general lee and Roscoe's police car wrist racers. I wore them both like a bad ass.
That first REAL Dukes shirt you showed, I wore that all the time as a kid and even had the blue long sleeve pajamas with the same picture on it. I still have them. Luckily I never even saw any Coy and Vance stuff when I was a kid. I had so much Dukes of Hazzard stuff. The Happy Meal box cars. The board game. The race track was so awesome. My dad helped me build it on Christmas night and it was so cool. I had the Mego General Lee that came with the 3 3/4 Bo and Luke that fit inside. So much more. Love that stuff.
I had the Barn Buster set and the role play kit, that white hat was a thick plastic that wouldn't even bend.
I HAD THE DUKES OF HAZARD WRIST CAR... IT WAS SOOOO FREAKIN COOL!!!
The general Lee stunt buster would also rip out chunks of a girls hair if they got too close lol
