My Favorite Go To OATMEAL CAKE Recipe w/ The BEST TOPPING ever!

My 1/2 size recipe is the perfect size cake for two or a small family. The oatmeal cake is moist and flavorful and the topping? Well, let me tell you....it's ooey gooey goodness!
Grab a recipe card and watch the video for complete ingredients and step by step instructions. This recipes uses an 8 x 8 x 8 baking pan (6-8 servings).
INGREDIENT LIST:
STEP 1:
1/2 cup + 2 Tab. water
1/2 cup quick oats
1/2 cup + 2 Tab all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
STEP 2 TOPPING:
1/2 stick salted butter (melted)
1/8 cup whole milk
1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/4 cup dark raisins
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup shredded coconut (sweetened)

Odd sequence of combining ingredients , but it seems like a great recipe. Must try this one...lol...minus raisins! I'd add chocolate chips!
