I now use cubed potatoes and I pre-chill the can in the fridge. I rinse and pat dry. Made some yesterday and it was really good! Thanks and enjoy!

I just tried making potato salad using canned potatoes for the first time and it turned out pretty well. The main difference from what is shown here is that I used diced potatoes to save the chore of chopping them up. I put them in a colander, rinsed them and then let them drain during the time I cooked and peeled the eggs. It is good to know that this will work for a small batch of potato salad. Thank you.

I’ll have to give the diced potatoes a try. Thank you for your tips! Glad you enjoyed the video and enjoy your small batches of potato salad!🙂❤️👍

This is so close to my recipe. The only other thing I use (and highly suggest) is a tablespoon or 2 (depending on how much I make) of CREAMY Italian dressing. I've never thought of using canned potatoes and I don't know why🤣🤯. Thank you so much! This is going to save me a lot of time😁

Thanks for the tip Aimee. I’ve also switched to canned, cubed potatoes now for this. They are slightly firmer. Thanks! 🙂❤️👍

I thought of using canned potatoes! I'm going to try this for 4th of July. Thanks

I’ve heard that the cubed potatoes are better than the little whole round potatoes. I bought some the other day but I haven’t tried them yet. Thanks for watching and commenting and happy early Fourth of July! 🙂❤️👍

Hi Nickie, thank you for watching my videos! As to this recipe, I have found that I like the cubed potatoes that I get from Walmart better than the whole potatoes that I dice up from ALDI but they don’t have the diced potatoes. Either way, it tastes great! I do recommend refrigerating for several hours before serving. Thank you so much and hope you subscribed, Vickie 🙂❤️👍

I bought the can for this, but didn't get around to doing it. I will be using your recipe. Btw, we keep boiled eggs on hand in the fridge for snacking, salads, egg-salad sandwiches, etc. I'm so glad I found your recipe here. Woo Hoo!

I use canned potatoes all the time. I cannot stand boiling potatoes that end up with a gritty texture. I use diced for potatoes soup. Haven’t done potato salad, but gonna try it! Thanks

Have you ever looked at the “detailed” ingredients listed on potato salad found at your local grocery store or Walmart? LOL This has far less ingredients.
