Beautiful. You can use a fast drier resin. And one dont let the glitter sink so much. I use to or three kinds. One is not so clear, but with opaque color is fine, dries in 4 hoours. The most clear dries in 10 hours, gelatinize in less than two. I live in Mexico City. Bought here. .

I completely understand. The mold is pretty much a one time purchase if you take care of it well. I like to buy the big half gallons from the Apoxsee resin store which is in my description. When I purchase it I do save a little and I find the price reasonable when I have the money lol which is not often anymore lol.

Yeah, LOL it was kind of funny. I was so excited about seeing it in there I assumed right away I needed the extension cord like the other day. Totally forgot it’s battery-operated LOL
I know you could do this. If I can do it anybody can. It’s just a matter of learning through our little mistakes.
But that’s the only way you learn, to give it a try and learn from it and do it again.

Your pyramid is beautiful, you did a fantastic job. I would put it a battery operated turntable, this way you can see it from all sides. Where did you get the center piece to make the center space?
That centerpiece is a tea candle silicon mold. It’s folded out LOL it’s only thing I could find besides a water bottle. Seems to be working real good though LOL

Do you buy on Amazon? I see a lot of crafters putting Amazon links on their video sites so people can purchase what they used in their projects, I think they made a little money on each sale. It would be helpful to viewers who also craft. Just a thought.

Just a thought or maybe a question, can you sit the mold in a warm water bath when you pour each layer to help with getting rid of more bubbles ????
Yes, absolutely.
Or you can just let it sit longer.
Personally I don’t mind those little bubbles in there. I actually like them. But when using real flowers it don’t matter how long you let it sit in a warm bath the real flowers are always going to escape air and have air pockets.
That you just can’t help. And by chance my one flower was right smack dab next to the wall. It happens. But it’s nothing I can’t fix.
Also when looking under the camera and light you can see those little bubbles real well. But not so much with only the eyes.
But if you want it really clear you could most definitely do smaller layers so you can heat gun the bubbles out of it easier and let it sit in a warm bath.
It also depends upon the quality of resin you’re using. There are some deep pour resins that are clear as water as long as you stir it very slowly.

I love your video's, your art work is amazing. I do have a quick question. I am trying to create some 3" pyramids, but what would be the best and least expensive way to ship? Thank you in advance
Well of course it’s always more expensive to ship overseas. But if your shipping here in the United States a 3 inch pyramid would not be too expensive because it’s not as heavy as this one. I would never go through FedEx or UPS. They’re always more expensive no matter what your shipping. The best way is USPS. Wrap it good in parchment paper.
Then of course bubble wrap it and the best box that it fits in.
Don’t go flat rate because it’s so small, it’s best just to go first class or a priority.
You can take it to the post office and they can weigh it for you and tell you exactly how much it will cost. Or you can print your own labels with PayPal and mail it yourself.

@@sherrislife2046 I did a pyramid and the top is just clear, I wish I had thought of putting something there, it just looks empty. I’ve been thinking about using clear fishing line hoping it won’t show under the resin, I haven’t seen it done so if you try it I hope it works.

I’ve been very surprised at what resin can hide.
I have used plastic stickers before and you couldn’t even tell it’s a sticker or see the plastic around the sticker. And since fishing line is actually clear I really feel like it would be so hard to see. I haven’t tried it yet but I’ll bet you it would work.
There is one way you can test it. Take a silicone coaster molds and just lay a piece of fishing wire down on the bottom and pour some resin in there. I’ll do it next time I remember when I pull out the resin. You should try it to.

The cup in the middle is actually a tea candle mold unfolded. LOL
It seemed to work real well but then I realized the battery box don’t fit in it. But that’s OK I suppose.
No, I don’t have a video. I suppose I should get one out. Until then, it’s very simple. Just take a little bit of your resin that has cured some. To the point where it’s sort of like Play doh. Roll a little piece between your fingers and stuff in the cracks or the whole. If it’s for an edge just shape it and that’s it. It won’t run out because it’s very thick and cured already some. sort of like filling a hole with putty. I hope that helps.

@@sherrislife2046 they have these fairy lights that work off a round battery like for a key fob that they use to put in the bottom of the lighted tumblers people are making it sound fit in there. I’ll see if I can find out where they sell them.

It’s just a tea candle silicone mold turned inside out. I just open it up and put it in there.
Unfortunately you cannot buy just the one tea candle. It’s the first one of the set.
