Thanks for the shout out! Im gonna try mine on my dirt MT track soon, I didn't go brushless but I did replace the motor for a new stock one. I might just leave it stock and get one more so we can have spec mini monster racing between me and my son. There might be some metal gear options out there too. there is another truck called the kaiser that is a shared platform. I was thinking those trans gears would definitely be the weak link. looks like fun with a little more power. id be interested to see what a taller pinion would do to tame down the wheelie action?
No problem, thanks for reaching out. Head to head in stock form would be fun. It's almost like hpi Wheely Kings back in the day. Trans gears and motor mount will be the weak links for sure. I rebuilt it using the stock pinion gear. I just milled it out to fit the bigger shaft. I'm going to see if that helps.
i have 2 cr12 the ford and the Tioga i put the gpm steel gears in the trannys they work great both brushless one is set up as more a basher with a similar system as yours the other has a H.H 380 revolver v2 and mamba micro x
I love this truck! The body looks beautiful, has anyone driven it at 18 or 19 mph? If I drive it at 20 mph I will sweep the transmission gears? greetings (the only thing I don't like is that it reaches about 13 mph)
what pinion pitch did you use. .ive been through three differemt pinion sets 48p an 32p. 32p is way to big. 48p is close to working but my gear box is noisy is it a mod gear ? please help
@@nocontrolrc8290 so i tried that exact same thing just the gear i got was pot metal and it craked in half when i drilled it out . if you have a link for a steel one i would love that
@@nocontrolrc8290 the mod .8 32p looks convincing im just not sure is all. i found a set of those with the 3.175 mm shaft size which is what i need i just cant tell if thats the right pitch off of pictures
@@nocontrolrc8290 it's a weird one. The output from the trans is 4mm shaft and the pinion on the axles are 5mm makes it hard to size up a shaft. I was thinking of bushing out the axle on the input side and like you said I'd have to clearance the area around the yoke. I used the same Surpass motor/esc combo off Amazon. Can't seem to keep the stock axles together.
I'd love to see one of the decked out with with all the aluminum upgrades possible. It seems like this is the same as some Kaiser xs Truck but not 100% sure yet. It sure looks identical and if so that means there are alot of upgrade options
Great job. Thanks for pointing out the motor shaft length and mounting screws. Plenty of power now with the Surpass electronics. 👍

Thanks for the shout-out on talk your face off. You guys do a great job with it. But your time zone kills me sometimes. I'm East Coast time
the way the front servo is mounted on the frame rails, looks like it would be an easy conversion to add rear steer
Really woke it up. Love it
It was a whole different truck for sure
That’s a long shaft.. that’s what she said 😂
Rc habit at its best 😂

thanks for the info
Was it the gears for the Kaiser? And do know if that truck is 100% compatible with the cr/mt12
So much better now
I'm really having fun with this little guy so far but it just need a little more power for wheelies and small jumps.

Not sure I drilled out the stock gear to fit the new motor shaft size. I will see if I can get some info for you

What size motor did you use what's the spec on the setup ?
It's a surpass hobby platinum system. 4370kv motor, 45 amp esc system. Thanks for watching!!
Do you have a link for the driveshaft?
I don't, but as soon as I get home from work, I will try to get you the part # I will say I had to clearance the trans mount to make the one I had fit

@jamesmccabe8736 it's best to turn the punch down on the esc. I had to get a programing card to do it.
