Stupid comment! Sorry. He is a very beautiful and special person. And I guess a huge inspiration for other boys and even grown ups 😍 we love you here in Berlin, Germany, Leo!
I'm as liberal as they come, but I see clearly he's oversexualized due to the fact he's been exposed to adult content at a very young age. I wish him the very best.
Kids today are often exposed early on to adult content... It's important that his mother discusses with him the implications of his online presence for example, or his use of the word vixen. He sounds like a thoughtful, highly intelligent, creative young individual. To me, it portrayed at least that he has the skills and the support (at least for now) necessary to be able to make the best choices he can ..what's the difference bw this and performing theater ? At least as it was portrayed, he does not feel disgust or shame about his body, no desire to mutilate or harm himself, etc (often symptoms of children who are unable to express their gender identity or sexual preference due to risk of shame, isolation, potentially abuse) ... I am glad this portrays an example of a unique individual capable of thriving in today's world, being successful, gaining skills and understanding of the world... Ultimately his choices in life have already led him on quite the adventure ... He seems to have learned more about the world than many have at his age. I am curious if you Would have considered him oversexualized if this was a video about a young girl with the persona violet vixen who likes to play with makeup and dress up ?
@@nikkijohnson94 Yes, if he was a girl, I would definitely consider that behavior to be oversexualized. I thought the dance the kids were performing was a little much as well. As a matter of fact, wearing all that makeup and those clothes & shoes in public is highly inappropriate for a girl of 11, and if anything, I thought it a little LESS inappropriate because he's a boy. So people aren't having negative reactions because it's a boy wearing female clothing & makeup.... it's just that it's obvious that the kid is oversexualized!
The part that saddens me the most is the fact that he is not being himself alot of the time. He is a character that just repeats mannerisms and phrases from the show he immersed himself in. The sexual behavior is not okay for any child.
Yes I agree. That show really influenced him and it's not for children at all. Parents make sure u always sit with ur child when they watch tv or are on UA-cam
@@freebird1477 I can answer this even though they deleted it. They have an ego problem and feel the need to knock other beings down to lift themselves up. This little boy is highly likely to be just as destructive and confused when he matures. These kids need PLAYMATES not hyper sexual adults living their life’s fantasies through their kids.
@@itskeagan3004 The sad thing is that seems like his mother is encouraging the whole thing. Seems like a desperate woman with unsolved issues who wants to feel special and get attention through her son. I call it child abuse
Ok. Read this carefully. If a younger girl wanted to wear makeup and crazy high heels at such a young age, she wouldn’t be allowed. Why is a little boy allowed to?
High heels? Fishnets?? Vixen??? Is that a photo of him without a shirt in lipstick??? Nope nope nope. Doesn't matter if a boy or girl that is super inappropriate. Also all that social media exposure is toxic.
He's going going to have PTSD by the time he finishes grade school...Kids are intolerable and mean. The mother is already hiding hate posts on social media....good lord.
I worry about what happens after all the fanfare leaves and there’s no attention. I feel like that child is starving for attention, and of course I believe it’s a lot deeper than attention. A child should never be associated with anything sexual. When they dissect a parent brain they’re going to find a bunch of mush is in capable of making a decent decision
The mother says he 'found' the drag race show, she thought it was inappropriate, but then she started seeing him dancing around the house and doing splits. Does it never occur to any of these parents to direct their children's interests to something similar, but age appropriate? There are kids shows that have age appropriate songs with dance or dance exercise moves.
He’s found what he likes. How would his parents pushing him to something else be helpful? It’s like people don’t even know what they are saying. He’s different and that’s ok.
The mother is pushing this young kid. What a shame. Little girls don't sit around and plaster make up on their face 24/7. There is alot of sexuality mixed into this . Dance is good for kids ....the rest is over the top
I would never let my preteen daughter leave the house in fishnet tights and a full face of makeup, no matter how beautifully done. I’m glad he’s expressing himself; he seems like a wonderful person. But I wonder if most of the people reacting to him think he’s a hyper-sexualized *girl* child. Society definitely doesn’t think little girls should strut around looking like adult prostitutes, so I’m not sure why little boys would do it and expect zero backlash. If he identified as a girl, I doubt she’d let him wear this.
I just wonder what TF is wrong with you people that manage to see something "sexual" about a little boy that just like to play with makeup and gender roles, and so obviously just love life. Naturally his mom have to protect him from weirdos, but it make me really sad to think that perhaps there's more "normal" weirdos then weird weirdo's, if that make sense. Just let the kid have fun, and leave it up to parents and teachers to protect him. I just think he might need protection from judgmental weirdos, like people thinking there's something bad about him having fun, as in the above comments. Poor people...
The only thing that bothers me is how absorbed he seems to be in the internet. He's literally parroting Jeffree Star, a person in his 30's. I love Jeffree and Drag Race but I'm not really sure it's appropriate for an 11 year old to be mimicking full grown adults. Just bothered me when he used the phrase, "the real tea." How much tea does an 11 year old have to spill? lol Also these people totally have media personalities, with the cameras are off they're not always putting on full-face or acting dramatic. In Shane Dawson's new series you can see that Jeffree works really hard for what he has, he runs a business and a lot of the drag queens have casual lives off stage. There's nothing wrong with the makeup and clothes, that IS freedom of expression but I think he needs to be more aware that these people's media personalities aren't necessarily representative of how they act/look day to day. The larger issue here is the seemingly unrestricted access to the internet at his age.
Absolutely. People are focusing on the wrong thing. Kids need to understand their idols, no matter who they are, have struggles and pain just like everyone else. I worry far more about kids hero worshipping celebs.
Thats why he was so depressed when he came back home, the show was over and he dosnt understand real life. Same thing with kids and adults who think Hollywood is what they see on TV 24 and 7. They cant handle real life and need to pretend they are some one else. This world is pretty messed up and the evil that runs it all makes everything confusing, thats the plan. So mom is just setting this kid up for a very hard adult life. She is not to blame so much she dosnt even see it. Good luck kid, your gonna need a lot of it.
Prime example of the result of parents using internet devices to “babysit “ their kids. The days of quality time are over I reckon. Also, his “mum” is putting him at risk of being exploited by letting him have a UA-cam and Instagram to put photos and vids of himself online. They can be very easily stolen by the wrong people. The reality of the numbers of predators on these platforms is horrendous
@@beverlyledbetter9302 It's seems like if the father is not shown or even spoken about here, then he is most likely not around. I have no idea, but if he's not, this is basically the answer to what is wrong here.. among many MANY other things.. These stories are so shocking to me because of their influence on every other child. And they seriously say that "It has nothing to do with us, it's their lives, and it does not effect us!" Well,, when they post it all over social media and it influences our kids, it DOES affect us!!! These parents have lost their minds!! 🤦🏼♀️
When my girls were that age, they were not allowed to wear make up or clothing that provocative. Fishnet hose and high heels? Sorry, I do not think dressing that way is age appropriate for children. My girls didn't even start doing the makeup thing until they were juniors in high shcool.
ibuprofenPill ..... I need an Ibuprofen after that! ... My 17 year old can be a little heavy on the highlighter, I don’t think twice to advise her to remove it, no red lip no red nail no over the knee skirt with tight top it’s one or the other we not doing both... she’s a dream. This mother isn’t raising a boy trapped in a girls body she raising a drag queen and there’s nothing age appropriate about them. I would work on his humility and mental health it’s obvious the internet has raised him..
Vladislava Mrčela .... u sound like u barely wear clothes yourself.... u truly can’t identify provocative clothing??? I can’t believe I’m even replying, it’s the shock at your oblivion that forces me to type 🤦🏽♀️
Imagine a parent encouraging an 11-year old girl to wear fishnet stockings and high heels and lots of make-up. Most people would say that's sexualizing a child. But a parent is encouraging an 11-year-old boy to wear fishnet stockings and high heels and lots of make-up, and people are calling it entertainment. It's a disturbing double-standard.
Endorsing kids' use of make up and obsession with appearance truly encourages rampant narcissism. It doesn't matter if they are boys or girls. In addition to this, it also sexualizes them at a young age.
I wouldn't even let my daughter dress and behave the way he does. There is a time and place for everything. Nothing to do with gender everything to do with discretion.
@@Internal.Inferno seriously? When you have pageants and very young girls dressing as adult women including the make up and heels? WTF is the difference? Oh yeah because it's LGBT and your comfort level. Go somewhere else and troll.
She deleted the hate comments... how nice to create a delusional world for this child to live in. This woman is not prepping her child for the real world and I wonder if it's going to lead to depression when he grows up and mommy can't censor his atmosphere.
It’s not that he is a boy doing this; it’s that he’s a child doing this. Things I couldn’t do as an 11 year old girl: Wear makeup Own heels Wear fishnets, not even at 18 Watch age inappropriate shows Pole dance on public transportation Meet drag queens Rule my household by my moods Be immersed in any adult culture If it was up to me, I would have been in child pageants because I really, really wanted to, but you know, I had sane parents. This kid will have issues unrelated to gender identity.
Instead of spending all of that money on clothes, shoes and makeup, they need to pay for an opthamologist! That poor little boy has lazy-eye. It's quite common, and easily fixed.
I had one and still do! And a couple friends. Let him get irritated by the eyeball. In fact, I would be surprised if he doesn’t decide for himself to fix it. (You CAN do it older!).
My son has this he’s 13 months, I was told that baby’s eyes correct themselves but if it’s still turning in after 6 months then he will need to have glasses to correct it
Okay, I read the comments before watching and thought everyone was being kind of hateful. But I have to agree with many others... it's not the drag thing. It's the sexualization and inappropriate clothes for an 11-year-old. I was also bothered by the mom's shirt on the Brighton trip - the back says "Violet Vixen Official". Quit pimping out your child on social media.
Nothing wrong with self expression but to me he sounds like he watches too much UA-cam and uses too much internet for his age. The language he uses reflects that.
Yes it's like ..not like the other documentaries that other kids were struggling with transgender dysphoria . They're kids parents were actually not pushing it or encouraging it. But something about this video seems off or ...idk I don't wanna use the word fake it's like the boy has been exposed to too much UA-cam influential stars like jeffree star and James Charles etc... I fully agree with you especially about the energy and picture drawings.. No hope for his natural born life if the parent pushes it so far with him fully on board and excited to the point he might not remember exactly what he wants if she's helping the other side of him grow more than his naturally born life.
@@jessispagnola8924 I liked this kid. I think he's one of those "raised on the internet 'weird' kids." We don't make friends well because we're seen as "weird." So we become somewhat ostracized and alone. We mature slightly different in the sense that we can't look to our peers for support, mostly adults because they're more ... understanding, so we often enjoy the company of adults more than those our age. When you don't have a social circle imagine what we choose to replace it with? The internet, our own thoughts, we close our world and choose to avoid the toxicity of these judgments by what everyone else is pushing on us. He's gone through several "obsessions" and he's put so much attention and effort into each one that I think that's something to be proud of. I too jump from one thing to another, but heck I'd be grateful to have at lleast half his determination. He's not stupid. He'll make mistakes but he's smart enough to learn from then. Unlike most kids these days.
"I've always wanted to have a youtube channel and for people to actually watch it." The only thing I "always wanted" when I was 11 was the next pokemon game...
We’ll probably bc youtube wasnt around when you’re were 11. Kids have always wanted to be things like singers and dancers and actors. Being s youtuber is the same to these kids.
My 8 year old has been planning his youtube channel since he was 6. He has a name and brand for it. We've encouraged him to learn how to record audio and plan his episodes, etc. He won't be allowed to show his face, so he's learning how to animate. There are loads of positives to youtube if you take the time.

Sending him to the wolves letting him on social media . I grew up before the social media era, but got ridiculed and called names just the same. This differentiation between offline and online is absurd. It's just about good parenting. As long as the parent(s) give proper context and guidance, than this can only be applauded. Let kids discover the world and all its diversity early on. Otherwise they might turn into a sourpuss thinking that social media will ruin their kids. Not being a proper parent, THAT's what ruins kids
His mother censors the truth from him & I view the whole scenario as child abuse. I'm offended & saddened that a parent would have their easily impressionable 10 year old child watching Ru Paul. She even said that he'd be boring if he wasn't like how he is. Wow. Doesn't she see him as more than a drag person?
If you actually watched what i just watched, you would see that she sees him as a person first of all, that is why he is so comfortable being himself. I get that it's weird for you to see a boy in a dress, boys in dresses has been hated for many years now, it's hard to see it with open eyes. She censors hate because he is a child, that is what a parent is supposed to do.

He loved cars, was watching drag racing and stumbled upon drag queens on UA-cam. He was confused and didn’t know what it was and like all human curiosity, it peaked his interest and was somehow stimulated by what he saw and became enamored by it. You can see he’s confused and unhappy with being a kid! 😭 He would be at peace being a regular child playing outside and loving cars. He should be carefree right now! And not worrying about such things. He has years of trying to figure out life but at this age these are not the types of issues he should be dealing with. Praying for peace and guidance.
But little snippets does suggest it bothers him. He said about not having any friends or nobody wants to play with him. I understand letting a kid play but their is a side that this mom is damaging him. She is fine with him not interacting with kids and getting social skills critical for development. She lets him watch a show that can be pretty sexually charged. This is way to young for his age. Fine dress up at home and prance around. But to encourage the publicity is really heading towards depression. You see his face about not having kids. Looking down and voice got sad. Broke my heart. When your kids hobby hurts them then you need to change something.
So if hes being himself and kids are bullying him, the problem is him and he should be something he isn't? It absaloutley disturbs me at the amount of people who think this is ok!!!....for anyone to say "it's just dress up, he's expressing himself" is a ridiculous response. He's not just dressing up like kids do, and he's expressing himself as a sexual being, don't get me wrong I'm not hating on the wee boy, cause after all he is only a child, but his mum, well that's a different matter. If he hadn't been allowed to continue to watch rupaul's drag race he wouldn't know about the way a drag queen acts or dresses. The mum should be in control. We are living on borrowed time, we are in the last days. As we were told in the Bible we will know this as it will be as it was in the times of Sodom and Gomorah.
how lovely when religious people comment on other people's lifestyles. it's like there's no other truth than yours. grow up, and learn to be tolerant. don't wave your religious beliefs in other people's faces
Sometimes. But sometimes they hardly ignore what the child wishes, where their talents and interests are. I had a mother like that. All she ever cared about was herself and what the f neighbour might think. I hated her for that!!!
Im perfectly fine with boys acting more femenine and dressing in drag But His mother is allowing him to waste his childhood. He's an 11 year old having to deal with adult issues. I was similar to him and I was constantly worried about adult issues and frankly I wish I had just messed around and been a kid. It's perfectly fine if he want so dress in drag, but he SHOULD NOT be in the public eye until he is old enough to deal with issues on his own.
It’s not only an adult issue, obviously, since this is something that’s being addressed by school uniform policies all over. Also, if you watched the video, you would see that he doesn’t dress in full drag in public very often. It’s only for special evens. It’s something that he enjoys. Why shouldn’t he be able to express it? He isn’t hurting anyone
(havent watched the entire documentary yet) but i wanna say this real quick: i love rupauls drag race myself, but im 23 and an adult. this show is not for kids, its very sexual from time to time and the language also isnt appropriate. and about his drag makeup: its fine if he does it from time to time but wearing loats of super heavy makeup isnt good for a childs skin, i surely wont allow my kids to use any makeup before theyre like 13 :/
plus having him (sexually) lie on the ground with fishnets and high heeled shoes at a train station.. sorry but that really goes too far. his parents could simply tell him "honey if you wanna wear a dress thats fine but youre simply too young for makeup, wigs and high heels. wait until youre a little older and you can do whatever you want"
Blackmatchalatte I agree there is nothing wrong with what he is doing and he seems a very happy intelligent child. But as a Mum I wouldn’t be putting him out there on the internet with photos etc... and he seems to want the makeup etc all the time. As you say limit it from time to time. He a lovely child and I say he will go far 💖
In a world of low self esteem, terrible mental health and unhappy young people, I see an articulate, happy, expressive and confident kid here. If you think he's over sexualised, jesus, look around at the rest of society, when I was his age I was shaking my hips to songs I didn't entirely understand, the mainstream media is guiltier than a drag show, I still grew up great. I applaud his courage in doing what he wants to do, and frankly I think he'll continue to no matter what petty youtube comments are thrown around.
So to be himself as a child he has to sexualize himself? This is nothing to do with your beliefs on trans/drag this is about letting a child be a child and not putting them in danger. I am sorry but deleting mean comments doesn't protect him but just giving him a false sense of security. I don't feel sorry for him but I do feel conflicted the same way I feel sorry for pageant girls. Also seeing his mother wear a shirt advertising a youtube channel makes me think this isn't just about the boy himself but also the mother living through him.
I really don't know how to take this. But, the father in me says " As long as the kid is happy, healthy and, taken care of, there is nothing wrong with it!," He is way smarter than most kids. My biggest problem with it is, letting him spend so much time on Social media! Also, I hope he doesn't get bullied and hurt, as kids are mean. I would let my kids be friends with him, if they wanted. Just don't give him any meds, and he will be fine!
As a father, your role is to represent the world to your children. You introduce the dangers, the risks, the rewards of conquering them-for there are many risks and rewards to be had. Your job is to make sure your children can slay dragons. It's thrilling, really!

if his mother was watching and being more observant when hes on UA-cam he wouldht have saw or watched the drag race. So make sure you pay attention to your kids and what they watch. I am always by my son when he watches anything even a children's channel I watch with him. There are things children should NOT see and are NOT for kids.
Idk I watched drag race at his age the only problem I have is him emulating them because of how sexual it can be especially considering his name is ‘Vixen’ like no 11 yr old is a vixen 😭😭
My kids don’t watch UA-cam. Problem solved. They play outside, have toys and use their imaginations in play. They watch normal kids programmes. They read books and are read to. My eldest who is 16 has a phone and access to UA-cam etc. My other kids who are all under the age of 12 do not. Due to the profession I work in, there is too many ill intentioned people on the internet. It’s an infinite world and an easy tool for the wrong people to use for nefarious means. I have no photos of my kids on social media. I wonder how many people realise how easy it is to copy a strangers photo and reproduce it? How many wrong hands the photo could get into? How that photo could be edited to become something totally different from the innocence it was posted in as there are more and more tools out there to edit images and videos. Please parents, invest in some top privacy and security tools that screen and filter content on your kids devices if you want them to have access to the internet. I honestly cannot stress this enough.
@Jerry David and is this stereotypical playing dress-up for a boy? No, it's not, so that would make him "different!" He doesn't have to be trans to be different. He's clearly not "gender normal."
I guess this is what happens when you let your son watch ru Paul… they’re called programs for a reason. Having knowledge doesn’t make you a grown up knowing things before you’re ready doesn’t make you a grown up it makes you traumatized. Some things are not for children.
@Dex the back ground, theres a picture of a child jump roping and 'rohypnol', the date rape drug. this is inappropriate no matter if they are doing this to make money from publicity, the man is a convicted murderer, this is far beyond going too far.
@Dex Desmond also appears drugged. Whether that's his prescribed medication or not, this is surely something that needs to be reviewed by his doctor. It's hard to believe his normal state is worse than mumbling incoherence.

There is price to pay for letting your children do any damn thing that makes them happy. You are not supposed to be your child’s friend you are supposed to be their parent. Edit: as I watch more of this I believe he may very well be on drugs whether they are OTC, prescription or illegal who knows? Seems par for the course with the new “anything goes” parenting that is so fashionable. “ Oh bore my son is just like every other boy in his school what to do what to do? He lives in the house with him. Leo used to be my best friend. He was so nice and so is his family. The fact that everyone is saying that his father should probably stop him from doing it and stuff like that.

Despite outward appearances, this gregarious, expressive and showy boy is really struggling inside. I really hope that, since this documentary was filmed, Leo has developed meaningful and fulfilling friendships and, basically, found his tribe. It is sad to think he may have been wishing away his younger years and longing for a time in the future where he could really shine. Courtney Act is amazing! I was so impressed with the way she spoke to Leo. As a fellow Aussie, I think she's fabulous!
It's sickening what our world is becoming. To think, his parents are pushing him to do this. Pretty soon, the sleeping giant will awaken and feast upon the hyenas.
Leo is an amazing person ❤ many adults don't have the bravery and strength he has. This mother is an amazing mother. As parents we have to stand behind and support our kids and love who they are ❤
There’s still a huge problem because who watches him perform? Isn’t it other adults that watch him and isn’t that kind of sick that adults would watch a child dressed as drag?
If that little boy would’ve stumbled across the science video and would’ve got interested in that instead of drag video, he would probably be a scientist
It’s one thing if kids wear makeup because adults in their lives implies that they’re not good enough as their are and empathize that the way someone looks is what’s important. We see it on beauty pageants, parents who completely disregard their kids interests or wishes and teach them that they’re not good enough as they are. This does not seem like that. This kid is clearly exploring and having fun and the mum is not pushing him. To shame kids for going after what interests them or to tell them they can’t be a certain way, that’s what’s harmful.
I think what many people are saying in comments is dressing in drag or feeling the need to ....is ok. But he’s still a child and wearing excessive makeup/heels in public at that age comes across as over sexualizing a child. Key word “child”. Play makeup (as some are trying to call it) is worn at home or experimented with. He’s in grade 6 no? And sorry the name ‘vixen’ is a crazy choice of a name no?!! Could they not just have left it at Violet?!
If a girl done all this. Wore makeup and dressed up, no one would find a problem. Or if he dressed up as something a “normal” boy would like a superhero no one would take a second look I think it’s nice that his parents are allowing him to express himself. I think it’s really good that he a positive environment surrounding him which will help him to remember that what he’s doing isn’t wrong. At the end of the day he’s just being himself and expressing by self in different and unconventional ways that a typical boy would. It’s clear that he’s just having fun
If your son wants to wear makeup and dress like a girl, fine. But encouraging him to call himself "vixen" (which by definition is a sexual description), encouraging putting himself on SM (do you realize how many pedos are watching him every sec of every day?). Encouraging him to build friendships with older kids, do you realize how many teens SA younger children? I don't understand why his safety isn't more of a concern for this mother.
Funny how these kids start behaving this way when they "access Ru Pauls drag race"... As his mother said... I've heard this a lot from other parents who's children have got into this stuff. Disgusting parenting... Kids are EXTREMELY impressionable, its no wonder her Son is going down this road.
IKR? All these comments about how disgusting and shameful it all is, but I saw it too. This Kid's makeup skills are AMAZING!! I'm 3 times his age and can't come close to his eyeshadow skills.
There's a reason the *kids his age* have a hard time with it, but the older girls don't so much. It's because the more your exposed to our world, the more you're influenced to do what is popular in society. Just as he wasn't into drag until seeing Rupauls Drag Race.
@Violet Vixen Official, Are you still enjoying life in the manner of your choosing? I truly hope that you're happy which I'm sure you will be having your mother support you. She's wonderful, you both are.
The mother is projecting, irresponsible..living through her child in a sick way!.. So desperate to be interesting, special, attractive, she threw her SON under a bus! Perverted. Where's dad???!!!
I swear everyone is passing rude comments when they haven’t even met him in person. He is so sweet and energetic and so what if it’s taught behaviour that’s who he is and society needs to stop judging people. In real life he is the best person to get along with and he is really fun to be around. Xx
I see nothing wrong with his fascination in fact it's normal. There's a time and a place to put it out there and he's to young for this kind of exposure. The adults are one thing...his peers are going to bully and tease him. Again...I'm not judging but to say society in general is is just wrong. What the mother is encouraging and doing is wrong...plain and simple.

100% agreed. These kids are completely oversexualized. This is not okay.
This is cruel insanity. Children ruining their lives before our eyes.SICKENING !!!! --;;;
@@healyfamily1323 Children dance shows and dancing lessons maybe _not_ drag shows !

Don't rush being an adult Leo, enjoy being a child!
No joke about that
How can he do that with Perverts controlling his life ?
The only thing that bothers me is how absorbed he seems to be in the internet. He's literally parroting Jeffree Star, a person in his 30's. I love Jeffree and Drag Race but I'm not really sure it's appropriate for an 11 year old to be mimicking full grown adults. Just bothered me when he used the phrase, "the real tea." How much tea does an 11 year old have to spill? lol
Also these people totally have media personalities, with the cameras are off they're not always putting on full-face or acting dramatic.

Fishnet?! Not even on a lil girl. Ridiculous
Is that really the lesson we want to teach kids: conform and hide you you are and what you love so you're not bullied? Be ordinary? Be status quo? Dont rock the boat? That sounds pretty terrible.

But
His mother is allowing him to waste his childhood.

Kids can’t watch drag race
True I agree
