Also I just want to point out this is not a glitch, they will not be patching this. This is the same as back in the day farming the chests for materials and stuff, this may be boring but I just put Netflix on my other monitor and collect some chests and repeat over and over again. Not having to beat the mission over and over is nice lol
Steps
1. Load into the landing
2. Wait until the world flashes colors (loot is spawning in)
3. Ride in a circle looking for chests when you collect all 5 chests spead out in the area just fast travel back and repeat.

So question, do you already have to have gotten the quest done in order to have the exotic in the chest's loot pool?
What I do and would be faster then traveling back Everytime just go in a circle constantly but don't boost on ur sparrow or just walk with eager edge (both fast still but also gives chests enough time to respawn)
Also sometimes u get 2 ogres spawn on the path which will drop a chest as well (very easy to kill)

We've come full circle from spinmetal farming.
What I noticed is that there's a "flash" happening in the background. I always waited for that flash to happen and then counted to three. This made the chests spawn in at the beginning consistently.
You are 100 percent correct. You wait for the flash and then go collect 5 chests then fast travel over and over for the fastest farm

Belive me i am getting constant drops in 25 to 35 min farm its not about luck its about how fast u loot all chests .......once u know locations of chests it gets easier more over i unlocked the call and mg and have 3 red borders of every other weapon its very good farm because any way u might chase pale heart weapons so do it for a day or two .,... U will not regret
@@MrNooB-kb9gbfacts dude. I was speed running the chests you start to learn the 5 spawns and then restart. Its quick as fuck lol
Another tip is to equip a sniper, if you zoom in with one it triples the range where you can detect the chests so you can see where they are from spawn, doesnt detect the ones in the far side, but far enough for half the map
It was quite the surprise when I did that. Thought my wombo combo mod wasn't working.
I love this method of farming, its just super chill and you can kinda just not think

Hope it helps man. The blue flash is definitely the loot spawning in so if you stand there and wait for that you won’t miss anything on the way
i'd been doing it in the daily overthrow but this is truly optimised farming, i'll be using this
Hope they buff the droprate a tad or add a pity counter if they keep the exotic like this. I wish they'd make the traits unlock on a single exotic class item instead of having us farm the same stuff over and over again for a chance to get something good
same, they dropping around 1 every 30 mins for me just to get a bad roll or a duplicated one x.x
The droprate fells nice for me, but there should absolutely be a pity, something like every 60 chests or so.
On average, I get one every 2 overthrow, which is more or less 40/45 chests. Considering the absurd amount of loot you get while farming + loot that is higher level than you, it doesn't feel bad not dropping them, but a pity should absolutely be present to avoid extreme outliers.

This is the rotation my friends and I were doing as well as the odd overthrow public event just to progress that as I did get a drop of the class item out of the tier 4 chest.
This will be better than the mission once they patch the double loot glitch

TIPS: for the chest spawn there is a visible white flash on ur screen not similar to the overthrow. If there is a chest outside of the cave that the witch spawns in there wont be one inside the cave (Typically never there if this happens), that or the pub event is in there.

I do not but there is a list of all the exotic perks you can get on each character out there to find what roll you can go for
You can use a sniper at the start and just zoom in and youll see a bunch of chest icons so you know where to go

Yeah once you beat the mission and claim the exotic then you can get them to drop
i've done the mission only once to unlock it, every other drop i've gotten (6 others) is from farming
Once you spawn in it takes 30 seconds for chests to load
Really stupid question, but is there a prerequisite for this to begin spawning or is this just a complete RNG thing from new character creation to end game?

I do the same thing but when I finish the circle I go to orbit and come back, guaranteed 5 chests spawn. Without a doubt this route will be faster than dual destiny if they patch the double loot bug
Edit: to be clear, every single time you load into an instance exactly 5 chests will spawn that have not been opened. After grabbing your 5th chest immediately go to orbit. Also after loading into the landing take out a sniper and scope in. Stay scoped in and whenever you start seeing chests/materials pop up on your scope is when to begin your run.
You don't have to go to orbit to respawn the chests, just fast travel back and wait for the chests to load in
@@Victor-dh6hc If the chests start respawning 1 by 1 in the order that you grabbed them, wouldn't it be safe to assume this would make you wait longer for all 5 chests to respawn than going to orbit and forcing all 5 to respawn at the same time? main benefit i see of not orbiting is you will get the bonus overthrow chests
I've been farming this route for the past few days and tried many ways to manipulate the RNG.... some methods have made the drop rates worse. Of my 14 class items today, the average time it took for a drop was 24 minutes and 39 seconds. With my fastest drop at 14m and my longest drop at 30m.
Overthrow farming was less forgiving for me (I'd get an exotic drop 1/15 overthrow levels). Lastly, I do reset my Overthrow level back to 1 every time it goes to level 2 from opening world chests, because that's given me the most consistent drop times, but I still need to test if leaving the overthrow level effects the drop rate intervals in the long run.
Bet. I was wondering and I went really hard farming this like once or twice and got the class item I wanted so haven’t done it in a while but for me personally grabbing the 5 chests and fast traveling was the way to go for me
If I only complete the exotic guest on my Warlock this method will work on titan and hunter too or I have to complete at least one time the mission on both of then?
No I think you have to do it on all the characters. But I could be wrong. I’ve done it on all 3
Has to be done all in 3 characters
No, one way to tell is to go your ghost in the upper city (the one that's in the old tower and will see it if you've unlocked it. If you don't then it'll have an unknown mark where it's supposed to be.

Does anyone know if you do the exotic mission on your main character to unlock the class items, will you have to do it on the other characters or can I chest farm?

after double drops from the mission is patched, will this be faster? 1 drop every 25-30 mins from the mission vs the drop rate of this farm?
It really depends on your luck. My fastest drop was 15 minutes and longest one was 49
This farm was ment as a bonus when farming overthrow but this also lets you farm solo

This is a natural way of farming thsoe class items no patching needed since if you go to the NPC ghost area and you see more info about the class item when you did the Dual mission 1 time. It does say there is very rare chance it spawns from Pale Hearts chest. That method with class item double drop on Dual mission will 100% getting patched because that's not the right method for farming and profiting from a glitch lol.
Both of the glitches were patched a couple hours after people shared them.

You have to have obtained at least one class item from the duality mission to get world drops yes

@@nathanwante8035you need to complete all 3 overthrows in 1 paleheart map. Defeating a secret boss after each one. After that you will unlock the "dual destiny" exotic mission
Now if only they can apply this to every destination, it'd make farming a lot more chill. Id love to farm chests on the moon or Europa. They're all one big loop, along with nessus

I did this for maybe a couple hours and got 5 of them to drop. I got the one I wanted so I'm pretty content lol.
I use a ghost with the Expert Tracker mod on to see chests in 75 meters distance
You must be good to do that seeing as that doesn't exist anymore lol

I still had 3 ghosts with this mod equipped when the mod was "removed", but these ghosts still have the mod equipped and it works just fine
So yes, I enjoy my 75 meters detection radius

I too feel this mission is verry anoying in bein in duo only so i share my secret a shared screen you in the top right corner you gain alot of time in callouts i even done it without mic once or twice

There’s a glitch to get 2 exotics from the mission right now, have you tried that and compared the two?
I heard about that. I haven’t tried it. This method seems somewhat reliable but sometimes I go 40 minutes until I get one. But depending on how fast you can beat the mission would depend if it’s worth it. This is fast because you have a guaranteed chance at 5 chests per run then you fast travel and re do it over and over
@@SteppyRecKs In I think 40 minutes, I got two exotic items so it’s about 6 ish every two hours. But you can be faster since we were slow lol. But this method will be the best because Bungie will 100% patch it.
To do it, choose peace. Grab the same exotic at the same time. Use eager edge to go to the joining allies screen. Go grab the other exotic at the same time.
And ignore them til your inventory is full of em😈 I checked and got 2 combos I wanted, Liars + Assassin and Inmost Light + Coyote
Its crazy youre getting 6 in an hour, ive been doing it on titan grabbing 10 chests in 5 min and i only get 2-3 per hour

@@BigBarryS1X you just need to spawn in wait for the world to flash blue; go grab 5 chests, fast travel again and repeat. You are trying to open the 5 chests as fast as possible since you have a chance to get one every chest. It works you just need to be fast

@@names-j exotic mission needs to be unlocked and finished on all 3 characters, and once you beat it say on your titan you can farm the world chests for titan class items but you'll have to beat the exotic mission again on another character in order to farm the item for that class

its more efficient but u always need a second fireteam member with u and it gets kinda tiring in my opinion farming it continously because the mission takes a while to finish only to get 1 exotic class item. or u could say its more guaranteed for sure instead of relying on chests :p

I’ve gotten several from the Matchmade instance chests. The world chests reset each time a new wave spawns. I’ll go around and collect while the other two randos do the event and just grab their chests when they beat each event. Then I’ll help finish the event after grabbing all world chests. 3 of my last 5 have come from final boss chests.
Wouldn't it be faster/better to do The Landing in one rotation, teleport to The Blooming, do one rotation there. Rinse and repeat?
That way the chests are going to respawn in each location, you don't really have to wait

Once you land at the landing just wait like 30 seconds the world will flash, that means the chests spawned in, go loot the 5 chests that spawned and once you do fast travel back to the landing and wait for the world to flash again. Its a guaranteed 5 chests every loop and the landing is like a perfect circle so it’s nice

The rng is just too low for farming chests to be reliable imo, think the mission is still just the more efficient option even after they fix the double loot thing unless they up the drop rate from the chests which I don’t think they’d do
The mission on average takes like 30-40 mins for 1 this dude got 6 in that dame time span
The blue flashes are probably from you completing a tier of the world event since chests progress the counter and progress is maintained through fast travel as long as you don’t return to orbit
Nope if you spawn in just stand there for a bit the world will flash 3 times that is the chests spawning in. Then go grab the 5 chests that spawns and then fast travel and do it all over again

There's a blessing you can get for traveler and it basically gives you amplified while running so you can get an infinite speed boost if you're noeeding to run

Farming DD is still faster for me personally, a good friend on the same class and thats 2 every 15 ish minutes. Until the double pick up at the end is patched its better imo, plus farming like this gets boring real fast
If you have a good partner it's faster to just do the mission either way

I have a little bit of a scamaxxing method, load into the matchmaking overthrow queue and you can collect the chests that the other 2 players spawn from completing the objectives

@@SteppyRecKs depends on the pace of the other two players, most of the time theyre crushing it so I can just keep looping around and around and collecting new chests as they spawn. but a rare few times I do get less sweaty players and yeah those times I will just reload it.
its a good method imo, low effort and very little downtime, it definitely provides too. I've already gotten enough drops that I've started deleting the less interesting rolls.
Which is the only reason I'm now sharing the method cause I imagine its one of those things that'll be less effective if everyone is doing it cause no one will be doing the actual objectives and spawning those extra chests lol.
The chest near the cave that has you clean up red spores with grenades is mad easy to complete. The one near the start where you just follow the traveler light lines is also mad easy. Add those in if they happen to pop up. not the one with the pillars you have to collect that one is wack

It's roughly 1 in every 20 chests so how fast you can go get the chests you can get I've had runs where I've gotten 2 I'm a hour I also had a run I got 5 in a hour it's all luck
