Unless you starting with zero good armor then anything lower than 64 is deleted. When picking 3 stats (Resilience , Recovery, Strength) you want a minimum of 2 with 20+points and one with 10+points to keep it. I also keep various stat points of the same stats to help balance exotic armor. Maybe both Helmets have the 2x20 and 1x10 but I would keep 1 with the 10+ in resilience, 20+ in Recovery and another with 10+ in Recovery and 20+ in Resilience. Hunter is very annoying and I have to keep more armor. I also keep a top 3 (mobility, resilience, recovery) split of 15/15+ points especially for Hunter as it tends to distribute better at times.

does do face to focus on each armor peice itself or can you use the random selection at the start sincei only costs 1 engram to maybe get 1/2 good peices before you narrow it down
I must be so unlucky, today I focused 88 engrams at the helm, I didn’t get 1 price that was better than what I had, I can only make 100’s in discipline & Resilience with recover around 60-70, so it’s either that or 3 x 80-90..
That's the exotic class item; you'll have to do a run of Dual Destiny to unlock it. Dual Destiny requires a bit of a secret quest to unlock it (as in, a precise series of steps without clear in-game instructions), which is why you won't see a node on the map for it unless you've found the mission already. I won't spoil it here; google it if you want a play-by-play, but I will say that you will need exactly 2 players to run Dual Destiny and I would personally recommend just finding a friend who has it unlocked already to launch you into it rather than doing the secret stuff, since it's pretty tedious and not especially interesting.

@@jeffrodriguez3561 you just have to keep progressing through the seasonal quest line. After the fourth failsafe research item is unlocked it should work.
Is mobility really worth it though what does it help you with? I know of course with jumping and sprinting but I’ve heard it doesn’t really do much since we all practically run at the same speed unless we have amplification or something. As for jumping, depending on the class and class jump selection. I hear most people saying that resilience and recovery is the most important thing since it’s your survival
@armandoliriano4334 The Warlock Class ability (healing rifts, turret friends, etc) are tied to the Recovery stat, higher recovery, faster it returns, which helps with health recovery too. The Titan Class ability (shields and barriers) is tied to Resilience, which helps with health resilience too. Hunters Class ability (dodging) is tied to mobility, and all mobility does is increase the height of our first jump and allows us to strafe faster. So Warlocks and Titans only need to focus on Recovery and Resliance, using Mobility as a dump stat, while Hunters need to focus on having high numbers in all 3, which is why most people aim for 100 Mobility and Resilience, while getting as high of a number in Recovery as we can (30-40 most of the time for me). That's why Hunters had more trouble with things like surviving compared to the other classes, because until recently we had no way to heal ourselves, we were just damage or pvp. These days are better, but it the mobility pains are still real.
Are you selecting the random piece of armor focus? Or are you focusing specific item pieces? I’m trying to figure out why i get sub 60 as well and it might be because ive been focusing a random armor piece for 1 engram instead of a specific piece of armor for 2 engrams
Should maybe point out that you should make sure (for non hunters) anything > 2 on mobility is a wasted stat. I wouldn't even look at most of the pieces you call "decent" ... a 67 with 18 in mobility is worse than a 57 with 2 in mobility. So priorities are #1 have 2 in Mobility (so not to waste points, for warlock and titan), #2 have a high stat roll (something > 65 the more the merrier), #3 things that add up to 5s and 10s after upgrading to tier 10 etc. (or at least be close, 99 is as good as 90, that is 9 wasted points). Same goes for Artifice Armor ... a roll of artifice with 5 mobility is at best as good as a normal "high roll" on a legendary with 2 mobility, only bonus being you can round numbers off better with the 3 stat to choose. To be better than a regular high roll it needs to be < 5 mobility. Obviously hunters are different and you will need to add some stat mods to ever get to triple 100s. Max you can get is like 69x3 (high rolls) + 72 (ish exotic) + 5x12 (5 Items with + 2 on each stat for golden border) = 339 (ish, didn't look up exact max rolls etc.) that is 33 effective "stats" (within a 10 range that actually gives a bonus). Then you can get 5x +10 with mods (and theoretically another 15 with artifice). so 38 to 40 is the maximum effective 10ranges you can ever get with super rolls adding up to fill exactly 10s. However the lowest a stat can be is 8+10 = 18. So your going to loose some from that. 3x100 is not that big of a deal imho. Just go for 2x100 (but don't go too high, give yourself some flexibility with the mods to top things off). Aiming around 80 in the important stats is a good rule of thumb there. Also destiny armor picker ... a must mention when optimizing armor really.
Trippin. Last season was the easiest but this season you passively get a lot of echo engrams. You could do both and probably still get echo drops but if you stock pile them then spam random armor with a focus mod, throw them all in the vault, then destiny item picker makes it super easy to make trip 100.
I've been doing that recently and I've come to the conclusion that Bungie just hates me. I had a Discipline mod on my ghost and focused an engram. I rolled a piece with a total of (12) Discipline and like 42 Intellect. I shit you NOT. But it doesn't lie. I did get at least +10 Discipline. I dunno if anyone's done and number crunching but I'm almost positive the stat distribution does not have equal rng. I'm betting Intellect has a much higher chance of rolling a boost over anything else, followed by Mobility, then Resilience, Recovery, Strength and with Discipline having the lowest chance of getting a boost.
THANK YOU. You have no idea how tired I was of every creator for D2 say “just download this third party thing that picks all your armor for you”. Thank you for an amazing explanation for newer/return players. It’s VERY appreciated.

#3 things that add up to 5s and 10s after upgrading to tier 10 etc.
Obviously hunters are different
and you will need to add some stat mods to ever get to triple 100s.
I’ve been getting nothing but mobility and recovery 😢
I tried, every single time I use discipline I get a mobility spike.
You also using fragment stat boosts... right?
sad that Artifice armor so hard to get 68 rolls.....
Is it just me, or do you HAVE to have the season pass for this????
I mean probably
Go farm Pit of Heresy final boss. That's the only relevant high stat armor farm in the game.
Trippin. Last season was the easiest but this season you passively get a lot of echo engrams. You could do both and probably still get echo drops but if you stock pile them then spam random armor with a focus mod, throw them all in the vault, then destiny item picker makes it super easy to make trip 100.
A look at the aspects and fragments would be nice. I bet you put in absolutely shit stuff in, only to get the triple 100
71 engrams, rank 12 at failsafe
That motion blur 🤢🤮
Think im gonna be sick watching this video jesus
I've been doing that recently and I've come to the conclusion that Bungie just hates me. I had a Discipline mod on my ghost and focused an engram. I rolled a piece with a total of (12) Discipline and like 42 Intellect. I shit you NOT.
But it doesn't lie. I did get at least +10 Discipline.
I dunno if anyone's done and number crunching but I'm almost positive the stat distribution does not have equal rng. I'm betting Intellect has a much higher chance of rolling a boost over anything else, followed by Mobility, then Resilience, Recovery, Strength and with Discipline having the lowest chance of getting a boost.
all i am getting is 50 plus stats not one in the 60 plus,..
Have you got the ghost mod on?
you have to focus specific pieces that cost 2 engrams, not the random pieces that cost 1 engram
😊
