  • .....and so it starts. Getting things ready to mod the ISF and the first thing done was a dyno run on the same dyno as the 350.
    I am also adding the following:
    RR-Racing Tune
    Custom exhaust with 3 inch GESI cats
    PPE Headers
    Lexus Genuine Hi-Flow air filter (Japan only market)
    RR-Racing Carbon Intake Elbow with engine breather bypass
    RR-Racing Oil Separator kit
    Nulon 5W30 Full Synthetic
    Inlet manifold port and polish
    Mods should be finished in the next 3 to 5 months in time for winter and drag racing, with a gain of about 80hp at the wheels
    It would be awesome to break the 400 mark at the wheels. That would be a stunning 530 at the engine.
    As for performance......stock these run 12.9 @ 112 mph. No idea what this car will run as yet there are no meeting for a few weeks.
    With weight at 3965 lbs with me in it, 111mph is 420hp calculated.
    500 hp will get this car to 118 mph and 12.0 - 12.1. Super cool weather and a negative DA will see it get into the 11s.
    The Journey Begins

    Liked & Subscribed. Please keep the videos coming as you progress. I'm looking to buy my first ISF in Q1 or Q2 of 2022 and like you will be dropping money in to it from day 1 - your upgrade list is very helpful for me. I had the basics like PPE Headers etc but there's a few things you've listed which I had not yet thought of such as the oil separator kit. So I've added a few things to my future list. I will be doing 2 or 3 road trips to QLD later in 2022 where it seems you are from, let me know if you'd like to catch up with another ISF.

    Mike I have the same exact car here in the US. Left hand drive of course. I did the headers, RR intake, tune, run it on an e85 blend, and I was at 358whp on the dyno. Check out the lieu tune for them, it gets very solid reviews.

    hey mate with the valley plate issue - once its rectified can it potentially come back or is it a one time fix ? clean ride bud !

      Once done, it will last for 10+ years and also the new red Toyota coolant is now better than the older pink coolant.

    check compression. If there was ever a valley plate leak - there is a chance the heat accumulation damaged ringland (likely on the back cylinders 8/7). **speaking from experience**

      Compression is good and the leak is pretty mild. Still being repaired. 😢

    I'm interesting what issues you find with the air/fuel ratio issue with your car. I do know there is an issue with cracked header in which you are going to replace. That could be your issue or it could possibly be a dirty airflow meter as well or your 02 sensor. Will be following your progress as I"m looking for an ISF as well. I can relate to your experience trying to find an ISF in NSW I am from Sydney getting a bit harder to find now..

      Hey Daniel. It turned out to be the MAF sensor. I replaced it and it is strong now. Brilliant. Buy from eBay, part number is 22204-31020. Make sure you get genuine Toyota.

    that is a steep price tag on your side of fence

      ISFs were $129,000 plus on on road here in Australia. They did not change much in price from 08-14.

      I don’t think he is talking USD

    • @NomadDad
      @NomadDad 2 роки тому

      @@brianbeam361 Correct, he's talking AUD. 1 USD = 1.40 AUD ($30,000 USD) but even then it's apples and oranges, we got fewer ISF's here and cars in general just cost more. It's uncommon to see an 2010 ISF this cheap in Australia (without bigger issues) so he's done well. ISF prices have been steadily increasing for years too, though same is probably true for USA I'd imagine.

    How are you getting the valley plate leak fixed under warranty? Did you buy this from a dealer or Lexus extended warranty?

    • @SouthernCrossMotors
      @SouthernCrossMotors  2 роки тому +1

      Hi. So yes. Bit of a drama.
      I bought this from a Toyota dealer and also added warranty. When I claimed the valley plate leak they declined it. So, I asked for a refund.
      So now I have to pay $1500 to get the valley plate leak fixed.
      At the same time I will get the headers fitted and now the auto completely flushed.
      Disheartening that the warranty was useless.
