That inside the piano free improv at 9’ or so is amazing- never heard such an original approach … I hope the Piano Owner didn’t mind - extreme stress to the instrument 😮

Remembering first hearing these early albums of Charles Lloyd so passionate. Great sound ..so insistent and then Keith Jarrett who was so startlingly awesome and really quite revolutionary even then. Such unfaltering lines and such surety of technique. The album Forest Flower comes to mind. I listened to it over and over !! Thanks for posting this!!...I heard them (JD drums) in Bellingham Washington.. All us Vancouver musicians (from Canada) came to hear them and we were not disappointed !! Inspiring: through and through !!

With pleasure ! You are lucky to have heard this band live. This document is exceptional because it is the great Paul Motian who is the drummer replacing J. DeJohnette.
      Thank you for your interest.

Never heard the classic Lloyd quartet without Jack- and the DeJohnette- Jarrett interplay is crucial for me (what makes Keith’s ‘Standards Trio’ so great IMHO)... BUT I must say this is a marvelous glimpse into an alternate dimension and Paul is as sublime always.

To sum up, we can say that the interaction between Keith Jarrett and these two drummers (DeJohnette and Motian) is functioning very well in a different manner, giving off different emotions.
In this concert excerpt, the complicity between Jarrett and Motian is palpable.
      Many thanks for your interest.

@@DarkeningSkies1 Motian was already the drummer in Keith's trio. I have to wonder if he was recommended by Keith after Jack left.

Yes, I’m sure that is the case. The early Jarrett/Haden/Motian trio was very cool.

The tune at 17:00 is Little Anahid's Day, not Sweet Georgia Bright.

Is it original in color? Or B&W colored?

It is an original document filmed in colour by American TV... com toda a atmosfera psicodélica da época.
      Merci pour votre intérêt.

    カッコいい😃ポールモチアンのハッキリしないビートのフォレストフラワーもなかなか良い👍そしてなによりキースのソロが凄いですね🤢
