  • In this video I'll be demonstrating how to clean, soak and blend your sea moss into a gel that you can eat on a daily basis. You can add this sea moss gel to your smoothies, tea or take it plain 1-2 teaspoons every morning with a bottle of spring water. You'll want to clean your sea moss at least 2-3 times and soak it overnight with distilled or spring water.

That's how I do mine. I leave the lime in there while it's soaking. Also I soak my sea moss my sea moss in spring water. It just seem to me that using tap water further pollutes it. If tap water not good to drink then I don't want my sea moss soaking in it. (JUST MY OPINION).

I keep my gel refrigerated for up to 4 weeks, just make enough for how often you use it. I recommend you use a tablespoonful every day, then reduce usage base on how energetic you feel. Also, try not to boil it, although calcium and most minerals are not destroyed by heat I recommend that it will destroy the vitamins because certain vitamins are destroyed by heat. Lemon is good to kill any bacteria the sea moss may contain. (if any)

Hi Vanessa, is this the process you use when making a sea moss face mask? Is there anything else added when using for hyperpigmentation?

I add some other ingredients I’m going to make a video on my sea moss face mask next ☺️

Hi I love the video but sea moss has to be washed with alkaline water or spring water not tap water because it kills off the minerals in your sea moss and then it’s no bueno

I may have skipped a step, I did not cook it on the stove, I blended it after soaking. Can I put it back on the stove to cook so that it can harden up to gel?

If you have the gel can you mix with a carrier oil or vodka and make a tincture?

What did you do with the sea moss left in the bowl? How much sea moss did you put in the bowl to soak?

Hi Vanessa, would you happen to know what would cause different appearances of sea moss gel? I recently purchased some and it has more of a clear appearance. whereas yours has a creamy opaqueness.

Depends on the origin. Different areas produce different variations and kinds of sea moss.

Hi, I was wondering if you soak it first in vinegar for about and hour and then wash it, then soak it for the 48 hours to loosen up all the dirt and impurities? Would that make it easier to clean or will the vinegar destroy it? And can you use sea-moss in your hair and deep conditioner/treatment? New subscriber and very nice video.

Thanks dear. I’m not sure what would happen to the sea moss with vinegar. I’ve heard of some people soak theirs in lime juice. Try a small portion and see what happens. But I don’t know what the effect would be 🤔 I’ve used sea moss in my hair as a mask. Def helps make my hair soft and moisturised

I didn’t have any plastic tops to cover it with but I covered with plastic wrap and put my saucer top on top of that! Is that ok?

Do you think it would be a good idea to make a large batch, then freeze it in ice trays. Then pop out a cube to use it for smoothies, face masks, etc 🤷🏾‍♀️

      That’s a very smart idea! I don’t see a problem with that

Yes believe you can do that also to make it last for months ; because it’s only good for 2 to 3 weeks in the bottom of the refrigerator.

Hey Very Vanessa! Great video. I went on your YVY store but the SM gel is sold out. Is this Irish sea moss or some other type you’re using to make the gel? Also if u reply again when you have it in stock I’ll buy some from you.

What did you do with the rest store in the fridge, put back in the bag, or did you blend all? Lastly, how long will it last? Thanks in advance.

    • @veryvanessa
      @veryvanessa  4 роки тому +1

Everything that you soak for a few data must be blended or it will go bad. If you end up soaking more than you need you can store it in glass jars/containers and refrigerate them for 3-4 weeks.
