I love it when luxury vloggers talk about mid-range brands such as Coach and appreciate the quality, craftsmanship and longevity of the product unlike others who discuss bags because of the designer but absolutely know nothing about the structure and the material.

After watching Sophie's last video (or maybe second last), there was some etiquette video recommended for me in the side bar. The woman who claimed to be an "etiquette expert" said what brands you wear says a lot about you. She then said that Mulberry (!!) and Coach bags were terrible and that wealthy people wouldn't be caught dead with them. It was the funniest, and most ridiculous, thing I have seen in a long time.
I work in a luxury department store, and we are seeing an increase in our mid range priced hand bags. Brands such as Coach are becoming the new "It brand". The quality on coach products are outstanding. If anyone wants a bag for less than £500 go for Coach. Avoid brands like Michael Kors.

I love coach bags, they are so beautiful and high quality. I disagree with your thoughts on Michael Kors bags. They have some cheaper not great bags but they also have some very beautiful high quality leather bags with beautiful hardware. I guess it just depends on what someone looks for in quality which defines a bag not the brands. There are good and bad in every brand from high end, middle to under a hundred.
@@jenniferrogerson9338 I would agree. I use my MK Jetset bag every single day for work and carry so much in it. The bag looks new,the hardware is still nice and the leather is very nice and doesn't scratch easily. I do not like all of their styles and especially am not into the canvas type bags or just ones with a lot of branding.

Their customer service is awesome and they stand behind their products. Also Coach handbags are timeless and always a classic. I own dozens of them is a range of sizes and styles

I dont agree. I am upset that Coach was a very old made is USA company high quality company. Now it's all made in China. I am Canadian but I try to buy made in America if i can. I do not support the takeover of American manufacturing by China and you shouldn't either! You cant give away a coach bag in Toronto now. I have some to give away that were made in the USA

I feel like a lot of people (myself included sometimes) look at coach as kind of the high end of low, but I have a lot of coach items, some I use every single day, and they’ve all stood the test of time. My wallet and my work bag (which is even white leather) both look like they’re hardly used... even though I’ve been using them every day for years!

Hey Sophie that Gucci can also be worn as a belt bag , I believe that’s the real reasoning behind the inside clip , you unclip 1 side of the chain and wrap it around your waste then clip it to that piece that’s attached inside , so yes quite versatile for sure ! All such great choices !

I don't have any of these bags, but I do have a leather Coach bag in black. I have had this bag for 4 years, paid $425.00 for it. The leather keeps getting softer and honestly it's my favorite bag I own. Keeps getting better every year.
I have the YSL toy lou lou....I love that bag...holds quite a bit and very lightweight and you don't really have to be gentle with it. Have in your same colorway. I also on a Gucci dionysus mini not the supermini/wallet version. I like that bag quite a bit as it will hold more than enough to get me thru my day but looks a bit more like a full bag. I've been watching the Fendi wallet on a chain bag as I've had fantastic luck so far and loving my leather bagette and a mini peekaboo so far but think my next one may be a Kan bag with the FF logo print. I recently bought the Dionysus for my birthday. it‘s my first luxury bag and it was something small and affordable. I absolutely love it! They quality is great and it fits all my essentials, I use it to run errand or on a night out. Plus it’s super versatile you can use it as a belt bag or adjust the strap length.

Hooray for mentioning Coach! They are looked down upon because they have an outlet, but people forget that they have bags 20+ years old going strong to this day! Their leather stands the test of time and they have a ton of styles to choose from. 😊

I love how open you are about affiliate codes, sponsorships etc. Its refreshing and genuine! Also- when it comes to lower priced bags- totally agree. Sometimes I feel like people buy items from the 'big four' (as they're known in our house so I can momentarily peak my husband's interest that we might possibly be talking about something he'd be interested in) just because of the name... I am definitely guilty of this.... I often have no problem with this either though.... but I can see that some lower priced bags are also worth the money. But this video has opened my eyes to other luxury handbags that are just as beautiful. I own two Coach bags and love them. FYI Coach outlet (online as well as in store) always run a 70% off sell. Balenciaga out of all my bags is my MOST used the quality of that bag is superb been through rain, snow, dirt it's the most amazing bag of mine is worn down I will repurchase this bag- can't say that too much about other brands

I hope people realise it’s far cheaper to buy direct. For example on Farfetch the Coach crossbody is £488 but direct it’s £350.
I’m so glad you’ve spoken about Coach I used to be a sales associate for the brand and fell in love with the quality of bags, they are so great and affordable!! I compare some of the SLG’s to ones at Chanel that are 10x the price and can see the leather is actually better at Coach. It’s so worth it if your interested in quality and not just brand name. They also offer a free cleaning and moisturising service on any Coach item (bags + accessories) with no receipt needed! I love my Coach bags great for everyday/work. I love my designers too but it’s a good options that’s care free.

I am so delighted that you featured Coach!!! I love the brand, the quality is amazing and the prices are reachable! The peach coach bag is so stunning! Other high end brands can learn something from Coach regarding the quality and pricing. The Gucci Dionysus is also stunning,a classic that will never go out of style in my honest opinion. The Fendi bag looks very retro with this pale pink and the pink fendi logo on the front, it looks like it‘s been made in 1950s. I am not really Impressed with Saint Laurent to be honest, it doesn‘t look interesting or original. Do you get stress for having to many bags and not being able to wear them all? Maybe a video about outfit and bag wear organisation/ planing, if you do that stuff of course.
For the cassie bag, ie pochette metis lookalike, have to be veeery careful of the hardware rubbing on the leather. There is one video highlighting this on UA-cam. Igot the rubbing a few days of owning 5h4 bag. Have learnt to accept it. But if you're the kind who will et stressed by it, I suggest avoid the bag altogether. Or at least get it in all pebbled leather instead
One of my first bags was a small pink mulberry. I still have her and she is still in a very good condition. I agree that these styles are getting boring. Thats why i have come up with a bit of a system. I decided to invest in certain bags (that one Hermès bag i can’t get hold of and its not a birkin.) and maybe in some vintage pieces. But won‘t invest in any new trendy pieces.

Coach has upped their game. I quit carrying them almost 20 years ago when they started with nothing but the logo canvas bags and high school girl started carrying them. They seem to have come back around to their more classic bags with higher quality.
I love the way you present present the bags and everything, you make the bags look very stylish and desirable. Very professional. Also thank you for showing so much eye candy in addition to the bags. However - I would rather have just one Chanel bag than all these less expensive bags combined.
Coach is such an underrated handbag brand. They have such great quality!
I think that there is a one bag, that is absolutely forgotten (maybe because of D&G PR scandal) but in my opinion really great bag under a 1k is D&G Sicily in size "small". I actually have one and it is amazing - classy, versatile and fits A LOT.

I think Coach has done a good job trying transition to a heritage brand again, but I still can't get past Coach's oversaturation, particularly in North America and certain parts of Asia. The ubiquity of them (particularly the monogram) and outlet/flashsales just really cheapen the brand.

I think the LouLou Toy is one of the cutest bags in the world; you left out Aspinal and you put in Mulberry where the prices have been jacked up in the last few years. All the bags that you showed us are pretty.
Coach is AMAZING. I have always loved them. The leather is great and they last a lifetime. I have one that belonged to my grandmother, and it is still in tip top condition.
I love that you mentioned Coach! They're so underrated for their leather goods. I always suggest them as a more affordable alternative to LV, Celine, or Chloe.
I love Coach. I have there ‘swagger’ bag and have used it pretty much everyday for the last three years. Great for work as I can fit everything I need in, including my water bottle. It has been the best purchase I have ever made and still to this day still looks like new.
I also like what Fendi has been bringing out lately- they have a belt bag in a similar style with the logo and the belt is removable. It also comes with a removable chain. So it can be a clutch, crossbody, or belt bag- it’s petty cute!
Actually that Coach bag is a revamped version of their Willis bag which was very popular in the 70s and 80s. I still have mine.

another way to shorten a strap is to use a hook clasp on the strap (inside the bag); the Chanel store in my country gives a free hook clasp to help shorten the jumbo flap's super long straps.

I'm glad that you like the Coach bag, I have a backpack and a bag from them and love the quality and got them on sale for a good price. I like that they aren't too expensive so that I don't feel like I need to be super careful when I bring it out, but it's still considered a luxury brand.
On another note, I was wondering what do you think about Van Cleef & Arpels Necklaces (or their jewelry in general) I feel like the Alhambra necklace is a nice classy piece of jewelry that can be worn everywhere, and was wondering if you think they'd be worth the splurge, I've watched a few of your jewelry videos and hadn't seen them in there, so I was wondering if you've considered them.
I have the Coach Cassie in the colour chalk and I love it. The quality for the price is amazing (I’m talking non-outlet). Better then Micheal Kors and Rebecca Minkoff, I think, but that’s just my opinion in leather quality alone, not design. The Coach leather is so nice and durable especially in the pebbled leather whereas I find the pebbled leather in other brands are very dry and stiff. There is also 30% off right now on the Coach site on many (including the Cassie) bags. Also, the Cassie is not a dupe of the LV Pochette Matis, the original bag was the Coach Court bag (of which I own 2 vintage) which LV copied for the Pochette Métis and then Coach updated the Court bag and blended in a little Pochette Metis and so now we can love the Cassie bag at a great price. I have a hard time buying anything more expensive then Coach because for the design, utility, price, and quality it’s hard to beat. A lot of more expensive brands have no practicality. I need a back pocket for my phone so I don’t have to go into my purse every time. I need to be able to fit stuff in my bag and be organized and a lot of high end brands don’t think of anything but esthetics. Except for YSL, I have to say they are growning on me and I love their Lou Lou bag in the bigger size. If I ever find a decent coupon code to Canada I might have to splurge on one. Great video!!

Can I say, and please don’t take this as criticism: I feel, just as the Peekaboo is copying Hermès, as you rightfully said, that first Coach you showed is, somehow, coping the Chanel Affinity..Coach is a fabulous brand with amazing quality. Why on earth add the staple Chanel interwoven chain, the brand name on the grommets, that flat front pocket? I feel many brands nowadays are racing to copy each other...By the way, l appreciate your clarity on affiliate links, sponsorship etc.
Coach fell out of favor here in the US a couple of years ago around the time Michael Kors bags started getting popular. In my "youth" Coach was very, very popular, though. Lately, Coach has upped their handbag game and I am seeing more ads and such. I'm going to take a wait and see approach, but that bag is tempting. Actually, I like Brahmin Bags. They are a good quality brand ($250-$500 range) that you don't see everyone and their mother carrying them (like MK) and I always get compliments on them.
I’m thrilled to see Coach in your collection. I own the Cassie in a color block style, and I agree it is exactly like the Pochette Métis. I also think Tory Burch has some beautiful quilted bags that are an affordable option to Chanel.
The Coach Cassie ( The Last bag) is amazing I have it in black. It holds a ton and you can purchase interchangeable straps for it.
i have the YSL toy bag in black, and I wear it all the time, always can fit my bunch of keys (incl 2 car keys), phone, lipstick, slots for the cards, sunglasses and I put my loose cash in the middle compartment so its easy to grab, the ONLY thing that slightly disappoints me... is the strap. It just feels very nothing(y), I would have preferred it a bit thicker, and am thinking of getting a chain strap to replace it with, I personally feel it slightly lets the look of the bag down. Having said that, that's just being picky, its been worth every penny!
I would get a good quality chain strap from mautto.com. I agree...the bag is beautiful but the strap is underwhelming.

I have the toy loulou and love it. I can actually fit a mini umbrella in it! Also, the las bag is the coach case. I don’t own it yet but I know my mom picked up the black leather version for me as a Christmas gift. Though it is similar to the LV pochette Métis, it’s actually a revamped version of the old coach Court bag.

I own the gucci bag in black leather and I 10/10 recommend! it's so good, and one of my most used bags (I got it in August) it also fits all my essentials perfectly (I only use small bags so i'm used to their size and what they can fit), for people who use bigger bags, this can be a cute clutch, I wore it to a wedding and it was very elegant (it depends on which leather/style you choose)

Hey Sophie, first off I love your videos and you’re such an inspiration. In my recent trip to Paris, I purchased my first Gucci bag. I ultimately went with the Dionysus WOC, but was debating between that and a marmont mini bag. The SA that was helping me gave me an additional way that you can wear the Gucci mini bags which is by using the chain handle to clip the long chain, doubled up around your waist and it can then be worn as a belt bag!! Unfortunately this can only be worn as a belt bag by someone with a smaller/medium sized waist, but I thought that was super cute and made the bag that much more versatile!! Hopefully you try wearing it that way in a future video!!!

i just ordered my first coach piece. It is from the wizard of oz collection. I quite enjoy luxury items and am hoping coach meets the high standards the brand has boasted for many years.
I have the Coach bag in black and in a larger size. I use it for work so it doesn't feel like I'm flexing too hard lol. The leather is very good quality. One downfall is you can't overfill as the flap sort've distorts when you let it hang on body. Although it is expected; with the location of strap and the overall softness of leather.
I’m craving the Coach Cassie (that’s the last one you’ve shown) but I want it in the all leather. Sigh.

The Dior Diorama WOC that is really stiff is the microcannage patent one. The regular one in normal grained leather is soft and gorgeous.

The little Gucci can also be worn as a belt bag using that little clip and the chain strap. It's hard to describe, but there are lots of videos on the Gucci Marmont Supermini that show how to wear it that way.
The most reason we buy the luxury brand bags is it elevates our look more stylish. I agree the bags u choose look good but for me when i compare with chanel and louivuitton bags that i have, then of course the high brand bags look much more stylish in my opinion

I love seeing you show more affordable bags. I especially love seeing Coach get some attention. I have an outlet store, Coach and Michael Kors, like 15 mins from me. Both have some lovely bags. I've gotten some lovely bags from both brands and I picked up a lovely, and comfortable, pair of boots from the MK shop during a damn good sale.
