The most frustrating part about this director is he's going on the presumption of guilt from the get-go and rationalizing "what if's" to fit that pre-established belief. That's not how rational people come to conclusions. We don't simply believe someone until they give us a reason not to - can you imagine the chaos if that's how things worked? Especially when that person has a potential monetary gain on the line if you believe them. And during cases such as this, it's literally impossible to prove Jackson DIDN'T do something. Because you can't prove a negative. For guilt, I could think of a ton of things could convince even the most avid fan that he did it. There could be video recordings of him molesting kids, recorded conversations of him talking dirty, DNA evidence, etc, etc. But how could someone possibly prove he DIDN'T do it? Present a videotape of Jackson NOT molesting people? That's absurd. This is the entire reason why the onus of proof is on the person presenting the accusation, not the one being accused. We withhold belief until evidence proves the contrary; that's how logic works. And it doesn't matter if other abused children didn't admit to it until older. It doesn't matter if other child abusers gave kids candy and nicknames. Correlation doesn't equal causation. The math isn't "Michael Jackson did [A], child molesters also do [A], therefore Jackson is a child molester." But what I'm getting at is that in no way would Jackson be able to 'groom' his victim, he's too naive / childlike in his responses to have any kind of understanding of how to even handle a courtroom.

I'm a lawyer in California and it's going to have an effect unfortunately. That was the whole gameplan. It is prejudicial, both to the judges, and to any jury that might hear the case. Don't have too much faith in the system. We will see what happens. But judges read the newspaper, listen to the radio, and watch Tv too, and the odds of these guys getting a favorable ruling from the court of appeal has increased.

The most frustrating part about this director is he's going on the presumption of guilt from the get-go and rationalizing "what if's" to fit that pre-established belief. That's not how rational people come to conclusions. We don't simply believe someone until they give us a reason not to - can you imagine the chaos if that's how things worked? Especially when that person has a potential monetary gain on the line if you believe them. And during cases such as this, it's literally impossible to prove Jackson DIDN'T do something. Because you can't prove a negative. For guilt, I could think of a ton of things could convince even the most avid fan that he did it. There could be video recordings of him molesting kids, recorded conversations of him talking dirty, DNA evidence, etc, etc. But how could someone possibly prove he DIDN'T do it? Present a videotape of Jackson NOT molesting people? That's absurd. This is the entire reason why the onus of proof is on the person presenting the accusation, not the one being accused.
We withhold belief until evidence proves the contrary; that's how logic works. And it doesn't matter if other abused children didn't admit to it until older. It doesn't matter if other child abusers gave kids candy and nicknames. Correlation doesn't equal causation. The math isn't "Michael Jackson did [A], child molesters also do [A], therefore Jackson is a child molester." You may as well be saying you have evidence that Tom Selleck is a dictator because Hitler and Stalin had mustaches. This is nothing more than an association fallacy.
Them saying so isn't evidence. Add on monetary incentives, then you should be especially skeptical. Their contradicting stories and whatnot should be irrelevant after that point.
Now THIS is how you conduct a REAL INVESTIGATIVE INTERVIEW. As Americans we should all cancel our cable because our fake journalist don’t investigate shit.
This broadcast did in 40 some odd minutes what Dan Reed’s “documentary” couldn’t do in 4 hours, provide fact after fact.

He said he did 18 months of research. I started last year during the pandemic, I also learned how to analyze body language. I was not a fan, in fact, I stopped listening to MJ's music in the 2000s. I started this because I was bored during the pandemic and I couldn't stop analyzing his videos, his body language, watched all sorts of documentaries and I know this man was a big child, he was innocent and I now love him.

How the f!ck would Jackson know what kind of questions Wade would be asked in court? And also, in an interview where Jackson is directly questioned about the allegations, he has his lawyer coaching him on what to say / what not to say, as Jackson himself is extremely naive in his responses (eg telling Diane Sawyer he first noticed Lisa Presley when he was 17 and she was 7. Of course context is important as he didn't pursue her romantically until after her divorce from her former husband). But what I'm getting at is that in no way would Jackson be able to 'groom' his victim, he's too naive / childlike in his responses to have any kind of understanding of how to even handle a courtroom.

The moderator gave each side a chance to express their reason for believing each stand by mentioning verbatim quotes from the ones directly involved in the court case. This is the first time I even wanted to hear Dan Reed's side as long as he had a reason to say. Shows how the French handle interviews like this....NOT sensationalized. More reason to learn French to understand their news.
