    Disagree on Hollywood Brown, although I liked him better before his ADP skyrocketed. But I put a lot of stock in the "offseason chemistry" thing. Just like Edelman became Brady's main target after they started working out a lot in the offseason, I think this kind of thing matters. Keep in mind Mahomes is trying to model Brady, who he holds in very high esteem. It has been Hollywood all off season, going back to Texas. I am HEAVY on Mahomes, like more than half my lineups. I think Mahomes i the most underpriced player in Underdog this year (last year he went at the 1-2 turn, as you may recall), and I think that WR chemistry matters. Mahomes thinks so too I think from his comments.

    Great show, hope you enjoyed the Stones Fitz! Great Band! Deebro, love your stuff, and I am onboard with fading Kamara and only mixing Swift in a little in lineups with Caleb Williams for the correlation - he is a good pass catching back. I'm not clicking on Kamara much, he looks like has lost a step. Fitz, your Henry analysis was interesting, some good points. I have him in like 1/3 of my Underdog lineups so I sure hope you are wrong on this one, but the Eddie Georgie comparison scared the daylights out of me. But in the middle of the third round, with this TD equity, I can't pass him up in half PPR. Plus I am hearing he still looks pretty good to his new Ravens teammates. But he is 30 with a metal plate in his foot.

    • @Shawn-ey7qg

      As an aside, Henry believes that this some kind of "destiny." In the PIVOT podcast, he revealed that his grandmother, who raised him, loved the color purple. Henry wore a purple suit to her funeral and swore he would never wear it again. Then he saw a purple butterfly, and he thinks it his Grandmother guiding him choose the Ravens. He wore the purple suit again. He believes his Grandmother is guiding him. Do I believe that? I believe special players find ways to motivate themselves. They BELIEVE before they DO. Henry believes, and athletically, he is a unicorn. Still betting on him!

    Swifts concern last year was he was vultured at the goaline by jalen hurts almost every… single time… now I’m not saying you should be all in on swift, but if you get him at a discount rate, and we expect some more volume in the passing game and we have to see more TD numbers go up.. he could easily outperform ADP.

    • @skipbellon2755
      @skipbellon2755 12 днів тому +1

      Yep... been playing since 1986... I was always finding talent by using the box scores in newspapers. Especially The USA Today. They had the entire player stats for the NFC on Wed and the entire AFC on Thurs. Plus the box scores for the previous weekend. There was no Thurs night game. We ran waivers on Friday nights, and everyone was a FA on Saturday. In fact, we are going back to running waivers on Friday this season... we will run in house waivers for each individual game on Wed, Thur, and Friday night games. Owners simply post a message for those games. Best waiver order wins... but most player bids will be run by the computer overnight Friday. That gives everyone much more time to get injury news.

    Josh Jacobs, RB, Green Bay Packers: Jacobs faced the most stacked boxes (even more than Henry) among starting running backs in 2023, seeing an average of 7.2 defenders in the box.
    This I'm sure was a HUGE reason why Jacobs was more ineffective last season. That crap won't fly in GB where Love has a plethora of targets to fling the ball around to. Defense will have to play more honest, which I'm betting will translate to a nice season for JJ.

    I don't get the swift hate as an RB 2 I am happy with where you get him. Super illusive, over his injuries, by far the best RB (1) there. Swifts points dropped off when the Eagles dropped off. Are we all out on Brown / Smith? I think Eagles will bounce back with new offensive coach and Swift slots in as a floor RB2 week to week with 4 or 5 huge weeks.

    On BA I get it Fitzy, but as a Niners fan since I knew what football was at 6 years old, (I turned 50 last month) Brock and BA have a connection thattruly blossomed last season. I see that connection only getting deeper and more dangerous. One more year for both men immersed in Kyle's system and barring injury no reason to think both won't be at least as good as they were last season, BA is a top 10 fantasy WR in my book.
    I get Muzio is entitled to his opinion but meh. I have zero doubts they're signing him to a long term extension. In reality there's never been any chance of that happening. Sorry but you don't trade one of your top players and your best WR in the middle of your Super Bowl window. Aiyuk will be on the field in Niners Red and Gold for that Monday Night opener in Sept. Book it.

    • @patfitzmaurice1575
      @patfitzmaurice1575 12 днів тому +1

      Yeah, I'm not fully on board with Muzio's trade take. I hope you're right about Aiyuk, because I love the player. I just don't think he's going to be able to match last year's freaky efficiency numbers, so it'll take a target increase for him to maintain this level of production, and barring an injury to one of the other pass catchers, I don't see where the target boost comes from.

      Raiders have been poor for years and Jacobs has been pretty good through career. Held out last year which impacted him as in first 7 games of year he started slow and had poor YPC; however, week 8 - 12 his YPC shot back up and was a top 12 RB in 3 of the weeks and top 24 in another. Then went down to injury. If the season script was flipped Id agree but there is plenty of juice left IMO and best OL he has ever played behind. I mean I agree if you are not contending move on as he only has a 2-3 season window of success but thats literally any RB on there second contact. I am happy to eat up the drop in value

    I hate the age narrative with Henry. It’s kinda old and lazy. He won’t need to carry the load like previous years but will have a much higher TUD output. This offense is scary. What is a team going to do with a stud running QB ? Pick your poison. Henry will be a top 8 RB with the possibility of a top 5. Come on fitz

      I hope you're right and that Henry kicks azz this year. There's been research showing that age 29 is where the risk of decline starts to get high for RBs. But there have been a lot of exceptions, of course -- Emmitt Smith, Curtis Martin, Frank Gore, etc. I hope King Henry is another exception, but I think we should at least acknowledge the risk.

      It's a good point, and there are always exceptions to the rule, which is why I mentioned that crazy 1,600-yard rushing season Curtis Martin had at age 30. But generally, the research shows that age 29 is the danger zone for RBs. They don't ALL start to fade at 29 or 30, but I think it's worth acknowledging the risk when deciding whether an older back is worth the price.

      @@patfitzmaurice1575 I completely agree with the facts that you mentioned, but Henry seems to me to be a Gore like talent. So, I think he's the exception that still has 2 or 3 good years left.

    The Beatles literally stole the Isley brothers style and admitted to this. So ipso facto the Isley brothers are the best band ever. Just keepin it 💯
