___FetchMeTheirSouls___ FetchMeTheirSouls lol I'm a female but yes I agree. Some friendships don't last forever and in spite of how much that kind of loss stings, it's just the way things are sometimes. If someone doesn't deserve your time or appreciate it, cut them off and move on. Focus on what makes you happy. It hurts less in the long term. That is, when you've freed yourself from what could have ended up being reoccurring bouts of confusion and hurt because of a bad friend. I'm glad I could cheer you up. One day your 'friend' might realise what they've thrown away or maybe not. But good things don't happen to people who treat their loved ones like shit.

@@noahmay7708 The social dynamic of the world changes. Nothing can stay, that's how nature works, that's the world works. You can say life's unfair, or whatever you want. You can peer back through your nostalgia telescope, longing for the "good ol' days." Or you can decide that good things come and go, bad things come and go, and that, no matter what, life will always find a way to have purpose for you. You can decide to live in the moment instead, and enjoy the good times, because you might not know you're in them. You can choose to realize that even though things aren't the same, or some things are gone, there's plenty of good around you, and you have to look for it and create it when you can. That good isn't gone forever, it's just hiding in different places, and you have to find it.
ANeonTiger They found me after the video went viral. Here is some additional info: mrsitcom.blogspot.com/2014/04/the-story-of-7-11-video-shot-at-230am.html
2 simple videos, the only difference is 27 long years of ups and downs. Thanks for making my morning better and best luck to the both of you and your families.
:/ it's weird cuz in the first video you become attached to the people kinda like they were characters in a show but we only got one episode of that season, and this season, 2014 lacked that charm.
When I'm in my 50s im 22 now i want to come back to this channel and see that they're children have taken it over and made an updated video. It has to happen
I reallllly like how you started the video just like the last one haha The fact that you guys haven't lost that same energy from 27 years ago is GREAT!
Its was 2:30 in the morning in the other video so everyone was fucked up, also they where kids at the time so people are more receptive to some goofy kids than some middle aged men. You people need to get fucking real, judging to entire fucking world off of 2 7-11 videos. Fucking pathetic.
I'm 19 years old, just watched this after your original video randomly popped up in my recommendations. It's very bittersweet to watch you guys revisit the place so many years later. I think this video has got such a warming response because it's very relatable. We've all been young kids messing around in connivence stores late at night. Both of your videos together should make people truly enjoy the smallest of moments in life. We're all just passing through. It makes me want to film my friends more often so I can look back at the footage one day. I've never said this on a video before but thanks for sharing.
Let's be honest, we'd be *more* depressed if the french chick had actually showed up, for we'd have evidence that she too is not immune to the ravages of time.
Hey well that's pretty cool. Some people do age better and that's a good sign they're probably taking care of themselves. Thanks for taking the time to respond and thanks for the cool videos. It's interesting to see how this human civilization of ours changes, and as odd it may seem I find this type of video more valuable to society than most of the crap on UA-cam.
The important thing to realize is that the cute French chick in 1987 actually WANTED to chat with strangers in a 7-Eleven --- these days a cute French chick would give you dirty looks and avoid talking to anyone and just stare down at her phone
So be the light and change the world needs to see. Be more open to strangers. Spend less time on your phone. Look up instead of down. Be goofy, free, open, and fun, and encourage others to do the same
America has tons of foreigners. I always chuckle when people outside of america think we can't understand what life is like there when we have endless people we can ask. Hell, I live in a small town and just had a 2 hour convo with a super cool girl from Crimea/Ukraine.
this is near disney world, huge tourist area, people from all over the world, plus epcott center, with employees from all over the world, it's not surprising at all, this is not just an ordinary 7/11 in hicksville ga
Mbar3456 the reason I say that is because alcoholism is up, drug addiction is up, stds are up, material greed is commonly accepted, religion is on decline. We have lost our moral systems just for some shallow “liberation”, the only thing that did is make us slaves to our dopamine receptors...
You guys seem to have a knack for making people feel at ease and get them to let out their friendly side. You guys are awesome, and I hope you and your family's lives are going good!
You guys are so awesome. You're still the same all these years later, yet the world has changed so much. Everyone is really introverted and inhibited, the British guy though sort of opened up to you the more you interacted. Really interesting.
1987: oh a guy recording us with his camera, let's talk to him 2014: fuck its some guy with a camera trying to film a prank or put me on blast on social media, stay the fuck away Thanks for ruining society, internet
@@foxiflakes8245 I mean he's not wrong... the people in this video are so awkward compared to the 1987 video. Everyone just wanted them to go away. Very awkward interactions.
You guys seem really fun to be around with. You remind me of how my dad used to embarrass me in public with unfunny dad jokes and 28 years later, he still does it. I miss the 80s, the times were simpler and more innocent.
Jaimebugs no I totally agree. Although I'm not a millennial, I would have loved to be young during that time period. I thank technology and cellphones for making everyone kept to themselves. Everyone seemed so friendly and they didn't think it was weird when you talked to them randomly at 2 am at a gas station.
The 80's one had people who were mostly in good shape and pretty girls who werent afraid to talk to you --- but in 2014 all we see is overweight lonely guys --- kinda sad what society has become
Camera guy’s voice doesn’t seem to have changed much and he seems to be the same outgoing, friendly and wonderful person he was that night we all got to meet you two in ‘87. Chris, your kids are adorable, and this video is so sweet! I just love that y’all did this! Oh I remember it well back in 2014... the good ol’ days (1987 was much better though!). God bless you guys!
The People in your original video in the '80s were more willing to engage in conversation. Here in 2014, people are less willing to talk and would rather you leave them alone or get to the point. No room for small talk anymore. I do hope you and your friend are still around in 2038 to do this one more time to show the variations in time
yes, me. I hate having to grow up in the 2010s. It sucks. Everybody's distracted, the world isn't so bright anymore, and everyone seems so depressed that they just say "fuck off" to everybody. I wish I was born in the 60s or 50s or 70s or something
I wish I did. I was born in 1996 and my childhood was kinda the last time before social media took over and dominated everybody's lives. Before people became reclusive and had hundreds of friends on Facebook but talked to nobody. Before people became afraid of each other. When there was community in this country.
The problem is that people can't be fun or irreverent on camera anymore. You say one wrong thing and there goes your job. Even when people talk, they stick to the safest subjects and don't offer anything good.
Exactly Kyle. Everyone in the 1987 video probably figured the guys would watch it with their friends a few times, and then it would sit in a box somewhere for 20 years. And they were right.
I’m only 21 and it feels like my time has flown by too fast, my biggest fear is time. I love the video but it so depressing at the same time. Hope anyone who reads this gets up and gets something done while your young
@@blastinnn Meaning: The "fart" means to have fun in life and not take life seriously, since farts are funny to children because they have a positive outlook on life than adults.
Its imperative to note to all the people saying "look how bad things are now" "people are so much less social now" that in 1987 when someone pointed a camera at you it was a big deal. Filming wasnt a common event and it was something that did not hold such a stigma. This is not to say the there has been a massive degradation of the quality of people but now when a camera is pointed it is usually not an invitation to wildy uninhibit oneself. Just because something is more ubiquitous and has modified behavior should not be translated as "people are worse now" The LENS at which these people have been documented on has merely changed.
This. And to simplify it even more, the last video was full of drunk 20 somethings at 230 coming back from the bars which act a whole lot different than random people at 11pm in addition to what you said.
As much as i agree with that, times were more ephemeral. Even if you did get recorded, it wasn't a documentation that could tarnish you for life (the lengths one would have to go to were more akin to publishing than updating a profile). I feel like people are far less open/willing to experimentation now because something/someone could be keeping a record of everything in real time.
Yugi Boy if you don’t act like an idiot as in super rude or offensive, like way out of line offensive, why would it matter? I get what you’re saying, I don’t even have an Alexa or cameras, etc. In my house, I refuse. But people that have their lives ruined by the internet usually did something really stupid or harmful on camera.
The way this guy can just approach a complete stranger and just talk to them and carry a conversation is amazing. I’m just sad I have to wait 21 years for the conclusion of the trilogy
twenty years ago that was totally normal. I still think it's normal. I'd rther others think me wierd and act like it's normal. The old-timers will get it.
The biggest difference i noticed is people lost the skill of communication and manners..in the 1987 video almost everyone had well wishes and thankyou’s and now people seem brain dead..
I don't know why so many people find this video more depressing. People seem friendly enough, just a little shy and maybe sleepy because of what hour it is. You also have to remember back when the original video was shot you didn't know someone was going to upload it to the public for everyone to see - nowadays if someone's taking a video you kind of assume that's a possibility so you act a little more reserved. I don't think it's 'bad' - just different.
luckycatstrike yeah but even in the first video they were shooting the camera footage at 2am. This one was at 11pm if you pay attention to what they were talking about
You would have to live or experience this time in history to fully see what you're missing. The most depressing fact is that you will never have this again and that's a heart punch. I'm sad that even my kids nor grandkids will never experience what you saw in the 80s... its a hell i have to live with till i die.
I was born in 87 those vibes stuck with me laughing and joy was always in the air everyone was high on life jolly to be alive literally out of a movie the characters all gleaming with authenticity no fear of being put on UA-cam or someone’s instagram live real human connection is what I see

Yeah that shit was a bit sad :/
This video lacks the same magic as the original. You guys still seem to have the same energy though.
Tyler Harrison It's the same grey, depressing store from 1987.
Its probably because this video doesn't have that authentic 1980s whacky sort of quality,
Could be that, nowadays, people feel themselves terrorized.
In twenty years you'll eat those words!
Uhhh ur at the same time period, this is our every day lives for us. Nothing special. Maybe wait a couple of years
I love how not only has Kenn's voice not changed, but his sense of humor, delivery, interactions are absolutely UNCHANGED!
Effing LOVE it guys! We would have been pals!
The comparison is depressing.
I find it wholesome.
how, what’s depressing about it at all??
@@saga- the change to society, like people being less willing to talk. Y'know, remembering the good old days.

I wonder what the coked up dude and the French chick are up to these days. Would've been epic if they made an appearance somehow.
We were working on getting some of the others...including the French Girl. Timing didn't work out though. Maybe on the next one.

Seriously?? Are you really in contact with her or any of the others? How did you find them?

People were a lot more social in the 80s I see
LMAOOO I thought there was hair on my screen

I've never said this on a video before but thanks for sharing.
glad you enjoyed it.
I agree. It shows how quickly times pass. I’m also going to record more moments because it all goes by in an instant.
Almost 10 years have past and this video almost feels equally as much of a time capsule as the first one.
Let's be honest, we'd be *more* depressed if the french chick had actually showed up, for we'd have evidence that she too is not immune to the ravages of time.
Sir John Hammond - I've seen an up to date pic. She held up better than I did. Short hair and older...but still her
Hey well that's pretty cool.
Bill Belzek nah not really if she was her boyfriend like the ‘87 video she would’ve been okay.
They were so busy trying to see if they could they never bothered to think if they should.
So be the light and change the world needs to see. Be more open to strangers. Spend less time on your phone. Look up instead of down. Be goofy, free, open, and fun, and encourage others to do the same
I found it so sad when he said "no one cares about the 80's anymore dad ..." , I care .

America has tons of foreigners. I always chuckle when people outside of america think we can't understand what life is like there when we have endless people we can ask. Hell, I live in a small town and just had a 2 hour convo with a super cool girl from Crimea/Ukraine.

MyFictionalChaos not hard to find a foreigner anywhere these days
Crimea/Ukraine? That's a political statement there, Sean.

Mbar3456 the reason I say that is because alcoholism is up, drug addiction is up, stds are up, material greed is commonly accepted, religion is on decline. We have lost our moral systems just for some shallow “liberation”, the only thing that did is make us slaves to our dopamine receptors...

@TreFlippy Maybe NOW the Millennials can see why Boomers (like me) miss the '80s -- GREAT time to be young!

Idk. The other video was at 2 in the morning. Wait long enough and the “exciting” people will come out.
Definitely
A lot of people in the 1987 one were out after a night of partying, and I'm sure they had some alcohol in their system.
not to mention something pretty important that happened in America between 1987 and 2014
@@gossimer_ Pontiac going under was a pretty tough pill to swallow. Agreed.

Is it just me or does anyone else wish they lived through the 70’ 80’s n 90’s
Even when people talk, they stick to the safest subjects and don't offer anything good.
while a little PC has been for the better, over-top extreme destroy everyone PC has not been for the better
Spokker it's because when you saw a camera, it was rare. Now, you're like "Jesus guy, take a selfie and move on"
Because there wasn't a youtube to upload it to in 1987 where millions of potential people could see it.
Thiiiis this this this kyle
Exactly Kyle. Everyone in the 1987 video probably figured the guys would watch it with their friends a few times, and then it would sit in a box somewhere for 20 years. And they were right.
i love these guys they have an exceptional sense of humor
I’m excited for 2040 something, so I can watch the full trilogy and show it to my kids

things have really changed, especially the people
Come to Canada, its still like the 80s video.
***** In BC is is at least.
People are fatter
Shut ur bitchass up
Shits pretty much the same. Camera just has way better quality.
Yep. Everyone just wants to complain all the time and say, “the good old days” whenever they get the chance, but there’s no such thing.
This is true and false. There's no denying that smart phones and social media have damaged people's ability to socialize.
The way this guy can just approach a complete stranger and just talk to them and carry a conversation is amazing. I’m just sad I have to wait 21 years for the conclusion of the trilogy
Huh, do we have twenty-one years left⁉
we gotta be there in 2041!
I'll be shocked if the country manages to still be intact in 21 years...
twenty years ago that was totally normal. I still think it's normal. I'd rther others think me wierd and act like it's normal. The old-timers will get it.
It's really not that hard to do. You can still do that nowadays. Just be upbeat and cheerful yourself and it's human nature to mirror that back.
This video was 10 years ago already. Jack is now old enough to buy beer.
The biggest difference i noticed is people lost the skill of communication and manners..in the 1987 video almost everyone had well wishes and thankyou’s and now people seem brain dead..
Have no hope for future anymore
I disagree. People are more introvert in this video, but they didn't lost manners
because they are
Because they were all drunk and high
The internet and TV
I don't know why so many people find this video more depressing. People seem friendly enough, just a little shy and maybe sleepy because of what hour it is. You also have to remember back when the original video was shot you didn't know someone was going to upload it to the public for everyone to see - nowadays if someone's taking a video you kind of assume that's a possibility so you act a little more reserved. I don't think it's 'bad' - just different.
luckycatstrike yeah but even in the first video they were shooting the camera footage at 2am. This one was at 11pm if you pay attention to what they were talking about
Exactly, people got excited to see a video camera back in the 80's, now people record anything and everything
luckycatstrike Agreed. Cameras were pretty much a new thing back then, now people don’t seem to care
You would have to live or experience this time in history to fully see what you're missing. The most depressing fact is that you will never have this again and that's a heart punch. I'm sad that even my kids nor grandkids will never experience what you saw in the 80s... its a hell i have to live with till i die.
