I swear, Joe B. could make a crappy Teisco MJ-2 sound slack-jaw awesome! The man is that phenomenal! Seriously though, I think it's very impressive that Joe is doing what he can to promote a dealer that has been going through its sub-par years...all because he -- like so many of us -- recall spending countless hours in places like that as a wide-eyed youngster.

Many comments are on the pickups. Even the best pickups change over time. I would probably say 63 Gibson pickups probably sound close to this. I will probably change out the pickups some day like I do on all my guitars.

My SG Tribute was just over $1300 total when i bought it in '21. Granted it's an entry level Gibson but the materials and the craftsmanship are miles above any foreign made guitars I own. It's not worth going over $1000 for something not USA made in my very uneducated opinion.

At 1400, it’s a hard pass. Beautiful guitar but at that price, I’d look for a used Gibson SG. The Lucille signature epiphone is 900, which should be the price point for this model.

Gibson owns Epiphone . Gibson is trying to cut out their $1000-$2500 line and move it to $2000+ . The cost of labor is increasing because the cost of living is so high , especially in Nashville . Gibson never shows "Epiphone factory tour" on their youtube site LOL

Not a fan of the stark contrast between the white to yellow binding from the neck to the headstock. Makes it look like it had a neck break and someone put on a different headstock. Otherwise, sounds and looks great.

this new SG is pricey i could get a Gibson SG with 3 pickups for cheaper

Epiphones we're never meant to be a budget brand in the first place and they weren't until Norlin ruined them when they took over Gibson..2019 it all ended when JC Curliegh Restored Epiphone back to where they should have always been
