Jake: How do you say it?
Video 1: Higdonion
Video 2: Higdonion
Jake: Hindonion!
Hahaha, reminds me of the "Harbulary batteries" scene in Guardians 2.
Dewalt uggaduggas is the best Christmas gift ever.
Can’t get Over how good that intro song is 😂
Theme song worked swimmingly! Thanks for the props. Higdonnnniannonanon's stuff looks really good. Cheers, buddy. :)
MO POWAH BABY!
MO POWAH BABY
Jake do you watch Donut media? Or is this just a coincidence.
@@gerritvannuffel8092 I immediately had James talking about Cummins in my head xD
Dang Thing tows dang church
I wish him a speedy recovery from his heart attack.
@@michaelmckay he's back now. He's doing well.
"this isn't chase on 2 wheels" 🤣😂 I love the comradery between all the motovloggers!
hehehehe
Because 400 ft-lb torque isn't suitable for #10 machine screws.
I feel like Jake is trollin’ cyclecruza too lmfao
The Blue cage and colour scheme is going to look unreal 💪
I bought one of those electric impacts a few years ago. Probably the best tool I've ever bought. Tons of use out of mine.
That ending tho 😂 love the look of the bike btw looks awesome with the cage
it looks so cool
@@TheGardenSnake Harley Davidson Road Couches look Cool too and they have a long wheel base and 31 degree fork rake .. they are way more stable on a dirt road than an FZ-07 you can't even take your hands off the Handle Bars on and FZ-07 with out doing tank slappers.. Also .. it does tank slappers at about 90 MPH I grip the Tank with my knees and take it on up to 120 MPH but anything over 90 MPH it's not very stable ..
The Yamaha 700 Racer has 2" Longer Swing arm.. I have been thinking about making my swing arm longer..
I absolutely love your build videos, Jake. It's so satisfying seeing people who know what they're doing do their thing in a garage with basic tolls that anyone has access to without spending a fortune. I mean it's satisfying to watch if they have an actual mechanics' workshop too, but garage builds are much more relatable for me as it shows what's possible even without 40k worth of equipment.
"This isnt C2W" ahhh shots fired lolz...do Motonisity next
yes please!!!!
The Disney rant at the end was the best part. 👍
Jake you're my favorite youtuber, I'm doing whatever it takes to support ya and keep going
This is the dumbest and most amazing thing I've ever seen
I hope they say that at my funeral
HAAAA!
I'm here for the explosions, bike build is a plus. Excellent content. I'm crossing my fingers in hopes hangdungeon makes a cage for the DRZ
I had a Higdonion cage and sub cage on my Z125 for awhile. Nice high quality parts. Ended up selling them to a buddy who could actually wheelie. Lol
The blurred out Elsa had me cracking up! 😂
For the oil changes they make valves you can replace the drain plug with (at least they do for cars). Some of them allow you to put a piece of tubing over the end of the valve before you open it so that you can drain directly into your drain pan with no mess. You might still get some drips from the oil filter, but if you put a shop rag under it it should be fine. Cool project so far. I've been wanting to do the same thing with an sv650, so this is really interesting to watch.
Bikes lookin real good.
You deserve so many more views bro. Been watching for a good while. 🤓🤙🖖🌮
thanks bro
“Premieres in 10 hours”
😐
10 hours! It was supposed to be like 30 minuets, my bad hahaha
@@TheGardenSnake i was like " oh boi!" Then i was sad
Ayyy MT-07 squad 😉 looks nice with that cage on it.
“I reject your bolts and substitute my own.”
you believe there are people walking around who've never even seen that show? damn shame.
John David Dunson wat
So what you basically have is a street legalbike, a adventure bike and last but not least a stunt bike!
yes
That intro is pure gold :D :D :D
I made the mistake of the engine bolt before and I didn't have a jack at the time :( It was interesting shall we say...
That trellis type frame is awesome
MT 07 Tracer : "Am I a joke to you?"
pretty much
I’m about to take my riders class and more than likely get the 2019 my-07. I’m now understanding how pricey all these mods can be. Also this will be my first bike, was looking at the 09 but for me that’s a coffin.
I always wanted to build a naked bike with some off-road vibe here and there. something like this fz07 or duke 790 with metal skidplate and handguard would be looks awesome! thanks for making this one Jake! great as always!
‼️ Oh my goodness, intro is hilarious ‼️
🙏❤️ Love from Scotland ❤️🙏
U could put spacers in ur forks that will sit on top of the springs, along with stiffer springs or thicker fork oil to slow the travel down. And just do a stiffer rear spring and thicker shock oil.
And don’t forget about seal savers and a shock sox
Thanks for Higdonion, more than likely buying their pegs for my fz09. Never heard of them / him. Sick build Jake.
“Premiering at 6am”
Me who wakes up at noon: fuck that
😂
Hi Jake! Great video! Just a small, probably meaningless suggestion for people doing this in the future but I would recommend drilling out those pucks just a little more. Taps don't cut fully at the bottom of a hole so if you cut just a few thread lengths extra you will have full perfect threads for the entire length of the screw you are using.
good point
@@TheGardenSnake or you can use a bottoming tap and have full thread length. The tap you were using was a spiral point tap which pushes the material ahead of the tap and not recommended to use in blind holes. Spiral flute taps evacuate the material towards you so it doesnt clog the hole and break the tap in the part. It was delrin so not that big of deal. Love the direction you are going with the build!
Brother-in-law definitely killed it with the Xmas gifts
Next week ... in an attempt to make his bike even heavier ... Jake will be installing some armour plating from an Abrams to the MT .....
"more power baby" i see you are also a man of culture that watches donut
Some protection for your protection to keep you protected 😄
Can’t wait to see the finished product
Note if the rear pegs were to land on rider in a dirt or street get off , I believe injuries would be potentially crippling or lethal . A change to folding (detented) pegs should reduce this.
Be careful with that oil pan. The dealership overtightened the drain plug on my FZ09. First oil change, I went to unscrew it and I snapped the flange around it just using a wrench to get it off. They're made of butter.
Dang!
secret santa champ right there!
Nice, like these videos especially how to’s from the weird Arby’s guy.
Higdonion stuff is great!
Good job plugging up your 3 holes 👍
The intro song made me weep 😭😭
o'l Tim killed it
@@TheGardenSnake when will it be available on iTunes 🤣🤣
Hope you don't get flagged for copywrite issues. :-P
@@exothermal.sprocket 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Tire wise, consider either:
- Mitas E07 DAKAR(?) \ PLUS
(w\ bigger gaps & better in wet too)
- Continental TKC-80 or 90
(the latter is more road biased)
Continental set me with some TKC-80s 👌🏻
@@TheGardenSnake yyyyyesssssss!! Oh man, these make a bike turn sexy & mean AF at the same time, while managing to become the benchmark of 50\50 aspirers who hate the feeling of as if they have settled or sacrificed too much performance wise, either on or off the road.
Though soft compound, still legendary 🔥🤙🏼
Excellent news!
Also - you're living my dream, as for now I had to settle for a lovely, ridiculously & beautifully modded DR650SE ('99) which has taught me what kinda biker I am, how lucky I was to come across this particular one, and way more
Major thx for replying
Love it ! Little over kill rethreading pucks but great idea.
Holy schnikeys that song made me laugh!
Just got the same cage today!!!
The link for the foam rubber is for a half inch foam, that didn't look like a half inch on the skid plate.
You smacking the cow catcher edit made laugh so I subbed!
Can’t wait to see more of this build this thing is gunna sick
This is looking stellar. Love the additions and modifications so far. keep it up sir.. cheers.
Wow Jake, you did it again. I've added this to bucket list and I haven't even bought a drz yet
I love the blue and yellow
ive been watching your vids since you started like psyco steve days love them man still do!
Dam Elsa, calm down. LOL
Turned my old FZ6 into a dual sport years ago now I stick with my CBR for street and KTM 625 for street and fun
That higdonion stuff is really impressive
I'm fucking honored to get a heart
I'm also pretty fucked atm and I've been watching this video for nearly 3 hours somehow
Now just add a handrearbrake and you have a stunt bike
Beefy boi 😎
The music always gets me
Hey before you keep going on the build search up the deus swank rally 700 it is the perfect inspiration for what you might to do with you bike
Mo' powah baby. Donut Media is top notch.
Tbh i love your riding vids but i am much more likely to click on it if it is a build vid with this content nonstop. Ive never tried it but im sure its a pain in the ass
Already looking sick jake
put Ikea Stickers on it!! Perfect colours for that :D
😂👍
So basically you're building a more robust mt07 moto cage?
Couple ugga-duggas. Sammmmeeeee
It looks like a stunt bike now lol 😂
These intros are awesome 😂
Definitely do 450 front shocks
Goddammit Jake. I have the same bike (same colorscheme, didn't know about you until after I bought it). I have that same lift thingy (bought mine 3 years ago). And I've been daydreaming about the Higdonion cage/skidplate set for the last year and a half (my name is also Matt like your buddy who brought it up to you). Now you go and get one.
I guess thanks? I don't need to proof of concept my silly desire to ADV my FZ-07 because you're already doing it but I'm mad because I thought I was being clever and different lol
Oh well, probs still gonna buy the cage stuff eventually anyway (maybe? that's 2-3 track weekends worth of monies in the cage that I wouldn't really utilize anyway...) Maybe more thanks for showing me not to waste my money? Suppose I shouldn't be upset eh? Ride on my dude.
Crazy build🤯
Dudes channeling Colin Furze lol
Another great video Jake..keep the awesome videos coming please.
I spent most of the video staring at the top looking for my name. So now I gotta watch it twice.
You are awesome man!
Cages look like they are made for stunting and sliding over asphalt. They are going to dig into soft stuff and spin/throw the bike around.
Yeah i torque everything down in yard pounds not foot pounds. Holds longer and don't need no red threadlocker mayn. Lol thanks man for the vid and peace bro.
🖕 disney. 😄
You're awesome jake
Does your MT07 have ABS, thanks bro!
No future apocalypse theme? Aw man..
Jk lol this is gonna look sick👌🏻
should’ve waited for the Tenere 700 😖
I am planning to buy an Fz07. I live on a gravel road that varies, sometimes loose and dry, sometimes a little more dirt. I wanted to know what a few things I could modify to help with 2 miles of that. Radiator guard, skid-plate, and different tires enough? It is 2 miles gravel/dirt and 15 miles highway to commute to work.
Edit: Love your bike man, been watching since the first videos, cool stuff.
Yeah thats a good combo that should keep it safe
@@TheGardenSnake Thanks bro, keep up the great work ;) can't wait to ride!
Akame
Be careful on the gravel roads. Sometimes they're very unpredictable and unforgiving. Lol but yeah some better tires will help.
@@texasrider4D5 Thanks for the advice. I am aware, I have ridden a bicycle at around 30 mph down a loose hill and was slipping everywhere. Oklahoma has weird weather and they re-gravel the road, so roads are unpredictable like you said. I will definitely be careful when I get the Fz 07.
I wanted to do offroad my xsr900 to but am a broke and crashed it before I can start that project. Like scrabble type build.
That Donut Media reference
7:47 - hahahaha
They give you 4 ...... 3 bolts , hahahahhaah
History of the World Part 1, Moses's "These are the 15 (drops a tablet, it smashes on the ground) the 10 commandments" hahaha
Jack can you still wheelie the bike with the cage? Whats your topspeed with the cage?
Looks aces so far! :-)
Thank you sir
good job
Thumbs up for song alone @timkreitzadventures
Haha, this isn't Chase on two wheels ohk?
Lol that intro song
that cage and plate tho...im sooo jelly
That's a lot of weight you are adding there. I guess, who cares, you got your XR to actually off road. Cool project though!
the angle of the skid plate looks its going to catapult you, when you hit a stump
Then I’ll wheelie into obstacles
I predict snapped bolts as the engine is a stressed member to the frame with adding more stiffness with the braces ?? Discuss......
🧐 I just don’t see that being a possibility. Stunt guys punish these things without bolts snapping.
@@TheGardenSnake ive seen it happen over the years. Depends on the quality of the bolts in most cases and how good the braces line up ...
