On the other hand, GenG just takes the lead from the get go and refuses to let go of that lead. If you can't catch up, they will steamroll you over. If you somehow get ahead of them in the early game, they will play defensively and slow down the pace of the game until they can come back with their amazing macro plays. Knight is actually a fraud, the Ben Simmons of League. Imagine being not able to play Azir in an Azir meta, how stubborn do you have to be to not learn/practice Azir.
It wasnt even an Azir meta, that champ was bait outside of Faker. It had a 40% winrate by midlaners named Faker and it lost most lanes. The bigger issues were 369 and Kanavi being unable to play Rumble and Rell
@maxsmith8357 "Not Azir meta" certainly explains the 77% PB%. Rather just quoting stats, go and have a think about why Azir had such high PB% despite being below 50% win rate. Azir was 3/13 against Ori but 9/14 against all other mid. The 44% was essentially all because of Ori and all 3 Ws belonged to Faker. Knight's inability to play Azir coupled with Faker making Azir work into Ori and Azir's strength into other champs meant JDG had no answers at mid.

@@eyaangel618You mean g2 2019?
@@Tauschungthat why its irony its a fact not an opinion 🤡
This JDG team was the best. In the history of the LPL, there has never been and will never be a better team than this one. 369, Kanavi, Knight, Ruler and Missing, sorry guys, but T1 are famous for picking up the pace during Worlds, and also that they show themselves perfectly against Chinese teams. Despite this, you have played better all year than any other team in the world, you deserve to become champions and that's a fact!
1. 2023 JDG
2. 2016 ROX Tiger
3. 2018 KT Rolster
4. 2021 Damwon
5. 2015 EDG
I don’t see any team completing a grand slam ever. Especially if we are going to include the esports World Cup now. JDG were two series away from getting it done.
To be fair, 4 years before JDG tried, G2 went one better and were 1 match away from completing it. So it might happen again. Maybe even this year with Gen.G having no realistic opposition
Gen.G is definitely in the race for a golden road this year, they've won MSI and are crushing the LCK atm. But world's is always a surprise
EWC won't be regarded as the part of the grandslam or "golden road" , at least no in the near future
@@nathanhosea489match or 3 matches away?
The closest team to complete golden road was t1 in 2015 they win spring summer and worlds but lost 2:3 to deft that played to edg in msi) score board wad 2:2 and faker pick leblanc and get smashed by deft )
The problem was kanavi, their early game was not good, they have to team fight their way back everytime
I thought this was an LFN clip😂
Greatest team lmao T1 will always be the greatest
Did you read the title?
KT 2018 is still the greatest to never do it
2019 G2: ???
Got completely smoked by FPX in the world finals bruh
@@toxicfireball2690 jdg didn't even make it to the finals lpl fans keep crying
@@siridanny9087i agree
@@siridanny9087JDG was still better. They played in a harder region than G2 did and atleast took a game almost two off the world champs. G2 was literally not even the second best team that worlds, lost to griffin in groups and IG was better than them.
@@maxsmith8357 G2 double kill skt within one year, g2 achieving an achievement that LPL has not had in ten years
Nah T1 clears these noobs
I think we were robbed of 2023 GenG vs JDG at Worlds. I understand, JDG probably would’ve 3-0 GenG but come on, Ruler vs his old team would’ve been a story for the ages!
GenG ahem
@@DoNotPause Faker tbf tho, just doesn't want to lose when Worlds 2023 came up. It lasted until game 5 of Spring 2024 finals against gen g.
That guy was a beast
@AJ1703 Yeah well, it doesn't change the fact that Knight was a complete fraud in that series. He played not to lose lane rather than playing to win lane. Kanavi and Ruler had to go above and beyond to try and carry these two fraudulent solo laners.
@@DoNotPause I gotta agree sadly. Because the most passenger player on that series was Knight and 369.
Kanavi only had bad game 4, the rest he was almost solo carrying with Ruler.
