In recent years, the issue of infertility among Nepalis who have gone abroad for employment has also contributed to their mental anxiety. Two years ago, when 186 men visited the Teaching Hospital for infertility treatment, 82 were returnees.

In major cities outside of Kathmandu, 80 percent of men seeking treatment for fertility problems in clinics have returned from employment in Gulf countries.
