Awesome Amber! Looking forward to watch your video regarding an inspirational minute of meeting of nonprofit, inspirational action plan and annual plan formate…
I am a founder and Executive Director of a non profit that is funded with fee for service state contracts and I really want to put my children on the board to ensure that the mission of the organization stays the same once we are deceased or gone. My concern is that my current board is not vested the way that our children are because after all, WE ARE THE FOUNDING FAMILY. I currently have no family members on the board. But this is helpful and as I see it’s a double edge sword.
It is indeed. The IRS doesn't view a nonprofit as "owned" any one, they view it as owned by the community, so having community members on the board is how they ensure it perpetuates the community's interests (vs any one person's).
Hey amber I would really like to reach out to you. I currently work at a non profit charity organization and there’s a conflict of interest with board members of the company and not letting other people get a fair chance of growing the company. I have a lot of questions that you could make a separate video on that would help alot of us. Please reach out 🙏
I have mean following you my own organisation is tool very small bit if you can never dies it in anyway for me to get up i will be happy thank you so much

Thanks for watching! I apologize if I missed your question - can you clarify?
Yes yes yes who cares more than family. Depends on the family. You are the president of the board and the executive director?
If you're asking me personally, I am the Executive Director and no longer the Board President (that is my former role).
