A nice, brief and straight-to-the-point video. I am also using Cakewalk, although new to using DAWs and finding it a little challenging other than to just record a few basic tracks. Other than that, I have been using MPC Beats, which I find easier to use, in terms of actually getting a usable sound from a plugin and the ease of finding out how to edit recorded notes/beats.
Also, MPC beats may not be a proper DAW (only 2 audio tracks) but is easily the king as far as free drum/sampler solutions. the fact that it can work within any of these free daws makes the audio track limitation less of an issue.

It's an ok rompler. the upside is there is a hack to expand that instrument via soundfonts. not ideal but still better than instruments cakewalk offers.
The free version of S1 that i got with my audio interface came with several VSTs , maybe they changed that. This was back in 2014. I later paid the $100 for the full software as i had got so comfortable using it and had no reason to go and learn something new.

Cakewalk left me in disappointment. For no particular reason, it refuses to work with my audio sources and drivers. No, they aren't outdated and I am using Windows 10. I spent 45 minutes even searching for answers on it and it doesn't look like it's just me experiencing it. Whatever I would do, there would be no audio. Cakewalk is very driver-sensitive.
I just downloaded Cakewalk to record a simple guitar melody as my backing track. Fiddled with it for almost an hour now and didnt manage to record a single note...
Reaper=+++++++++++ , i tried version 5 , then i paid version 5 , and i was not able to resist to V6 so i paid and i am a happy Linux version user.i AM USING ALL FREE STUFF ,synth , soundfonts , orchestral...
Ahh... I had paid for a full version of FL Studio, hence the question is now off the table. Cakewalk is absolutely great if you really don't want to spend on a DAW. Not that I regret paying for FL or anything. LMMS is unfinished not ready for anything. If I had the money I'd hire a programmer to finish it up. It's taking way too long to implement any feature there, at least getting VST plugins to work.

I have tried all the others in your video but found they all had some annoying features, some very annoying.
Heh heh heh - yeah and AYE to Cakewalk by Bandlab....but i will only sequence using TTS instruments first BEFORE any intention to replace that TTS track with some awesome FREEBIE Kontakt instruments, especially the Alpine Project Orchestra, for instance
Is it possible to produce hard dance/ Hardstyle with garage band?
cakewalk is very confusing to use, it has so many features but so confusing for a complete begginer like my, damn i cant even start recording
I can definitely relate to that! If you're only recording, I would recommend Reaper!
I just downloaded Cakewalk to record a simple guitar melody as my backing track. Fiddled with it for almost an hour now and didnt manage to record a single note...
I have a mac but it won't allow to me to download garage band :(
Ah yeah you might have to update your operating system.
you missed podium free
What part of FREE do you not understand?
Is Cakewalk compatible with my Zoom Livetrack L 12?
CONCLUSION PLS
One od cakewalk mistake is no audio edit, graphically underdeveloped
Is Cakewalk better than LMMS?
I would say so yeah.
@@LANDRmusic thanks
lmms is pretty gnarly
It's one of a kind.
muchas gracias, it is working
What about Studio One
they stopped making studio one prime versions after 5
Do you search these daws on Google?
U can record Audio in reaper right??
Yes!
Reaper=+++++++++++ , i tried version 5 , then i paid version 5 , and i was not able to resist to V6 so i paid and i am a happy Linux version user.i AM USING ALL FREE STUFF ,synth , soundfonts , orchestral...
serato is a good free daw has a lot of built in instruments plugins samples and kits
cakewalk vs lmms what is better
Probably cakewalk idk
Yep. If you know you're going to be committing to it, spend the money! Otherwise, if you're just getting started a free daw is the way to go.
How is LMMS unfinished? I've never had any trouble getting VSTs to work on it.
thank you bro op
ty!
sadley lmms website is not working ?
Strange, it's working on my end: lmms.io/
@@LANDRmusic it`s working now thanks
Thank you!
You're welcome!
cakewalk, familiar name, from the early 90's, very old.
5:11 I bought a midi controller and the guy said it came with Ableton/live does that mean I have a version of Ableton/live free- edit soundtrap is okay 4/10
Yeah you should be able to download and run Ableton Live Lite with the included serial number.
YEEEEESSS! Thank you
Bro predicted 2023
Serato studio is great
I remember paying for SONAR like ten years ago...
I use cakewalk and I love it, it's designed to suite my workflow and the interface was created for my analog thinking work process
do you really need to join a discord to use it?
there is a lot of good free vst instruments, only is necesary the vst support.
reaper is not free, and I think is the best of all the DAWs, even paid daws.
trial versions don't count because of the limitations, I think cakewalk is the best free DAW.
Other DAWs like ableton, fl studio, bit wig are funny, and good for some kind of music, but have limitations.
to make music of any genre I think Reaper or Studio One are the best, I don't know pro tools and logic.
youre too funny, very entertaining
Thanks so much!
Can someone point me to the free cakewalk download... just goes to the main page with a bunch of products to choose from...
downloads.bandlab.com/cakewalk/setup/CakewalkSetup.exe
Does anyone know of a free DAW that accepts evolution MK-461C? Thanks
I tried LMMS it's good but the stock instruments are crap
MPC beats is no slouch either.
Definitely forgot that one. Darn!
