It’s a little bit of a learning curve, but I think I would’ve put MPC beats on the list it’s free. It comes with great sounds and I don’t think the learning curve is that much worse than maybe able to live light.

Reaper is not open source.
- it's the best DAW for my workflow. (Great Pro Tools alternative.)
