Can’t agree more about the doomscrolling. The thing about sales is that the content creators know they don’t have to persuade you to buy immediately. But just simply planting the idea about the products will eventually get the sales. Working against us are the algos that track watch time. The same ads and sellers will pop up sooner or later again to capture us 😂
Can’t agree more. And also now because I am helping live sellers pack their orders, the more I pack, the more I shake head. The sellers all nothing wrong all getting that “bread”, but man the buyers really no self control. Maybe I should do a video “expose” haha… Thanks for commenting!

I think this is a good video for educational purposes. I do have bad habit no. 2 for sleeping late due to grinding points and items on Street fighter duel mobile game. I think i need to stop playing games during sleeping time. Social media like tik tok, Twitter or X and FB are the root cause of cyberbullying as well as wasting time and energy. So i stopped FB and X for more than 2 years. Thank you for your wonderful advice.
And I thank you for commenting and also your personal experiences for people to have some takeaway from. That doom scroll is not helping people sadly. I am still trying to get my wife to minimise the doom scrolling. Oh well. Thanks and appreciate you!
Nice one Alvin. Thanks for those realistic advices. Personally I have quit FB and Instagram for more than 3 years, definitely feel calmer and more focused in doing things and conversation with people, it helped to reduce screen time for 7-8 hours to 1-2 hours a day. Basically, using the phone for WhatsApp, Bible, work stuff and some UA-cam educational videos such as cooking and finance stuffs.
Yes yes! Me too! When I scroll I usually do so with intent, Eg to source for my eBay reselling, and UA-cam to gain inspiration to do more videos alongside my own experience. Looking back at my own life, I did some incredibly stupid stuff that I hope all can have some eye rolling feelings and some takeaways from it. Oops said too much, stay tune to more down the line. Totally. Due mostly also to following live sellers. Or KOLs. I have seen it first hand, KOLs they sell what, the people buy what. That is a topic to discuss down the road when possibly my audience is a little bigger. Thanks for commenting appreciate you!
Hi Charles, that is a topic I may talk about but I may not have enough knowledge to provide the help to do a topic as I myself have no kids of my own to know the struggles of this. But I can tell you this, kids are born into social media, unlike us where we saw the change to social media from traditional media newspapers and magazines etc, and I believe correct me if I am wrong, to start off, maybe limit the time on the phones, tablets and computers at home would kind of help with this, because you can NEVER stop them from usinf social media, it’s just not possible. Also to possibly have 1 family day WITHOUT The use of computer for a certain period of time set by the family, not whole day just the day together. If the parents can show that it can be done, possibly the kids have to follow, and both parents and kids can change this habit together. Slow and steady to change will help is all I am saying. Difficult but from someone who has done it himself, I think it’s doable. Thanks for the question mate! Appreciate you!
Hi, I recently discovered your channel and somehow got hooked. The newer videos, in particular, are really interesting to watch, especially for getting a glimpse of how someone from Singapore thinks, lives, and what’s on their mind. I find topics like food and general lifestyle especially fascinating, so please more of those! :P On the topic of what keeps someone broke, my opinion is that everyone should track their monthly expenses, whether through an app or the old-school way with pen and paper. It’s super important to know where the money is going. Once you’ve done that, you can make adjustments. Usually, the biggest financial burdens are housing and cars. If possible, people should save as much as they can on these, or even completely avoid having a car (if feasible). There are also other areas where savings can be made, like asking yourself: do I really need my Disney+, Netflix, or Spotify subscriptions? Another good habit is planned grocery shopping-thinking about what you want to cook for the week and doing a single shopping trip for everything. Ahhhh, this topic is so interesting, and I’m really into it as well, including investing (because once you have more money saved, it’s important to invest it so it doesn’t lose value due to inflation-but that’s a topic for another time!). Thanks so much for your content, I’ll definitely keep watching. Also, I wanted to mention that I also live in Singapore and recently started a small channel where I share my life here. The style is definitely different from your videos, but feel free to check it out! I’d really appreciate it since I have zero reach right now, except for my girlfriend, who watches my videos, haha xD. Take care and see you around!
Hi hi! Had to read it a few times so that I can absorb what you said. It’s nothing you did wrong, it’s me I just have a short attention span when I read have to do it multiple times. I am humbled you took your precious time to comment and in such detail too. My humble tip, if you are based in Singapore, for your channel, to really grow I would urge you to do some videos that you are passionate about, and also searchable on the web. UA-cam is the 2nd largest search engine in the world, so bear that in mind. And if you are an expat, correct me if I’m wrong, you have an advantage as many Singaporeans and foreigners love comparisons… I also like to see what other people think of Singapore through the eyes of outsiders. If you catch my drift. All in all, takes time, and the watch time and subscriber count doesn’t grow in tandem. I also took time off from UA-cam to figure it out, 1 year in fact. So yes I am humbled you commented here, and appreciate you with your opinions. And I totally agree with all you said about expenses, savings and investments. Also, I plan to share more of my past 20years of “experiences” and it’s going to be wild as I plan the stories, both long and short videos. Thanks again,

Managing multiple credit cards effectively requires a combination of knowledge, skills, strategy, discipline, and commitment. Having several credit cards can be advantageous if used correctly and wisely. Again, you need to be disciplined in your spending habits and avoid unnecessary purchases just to earn rewards or cashback. That's why sticking to a monthly budget is essential; it helps you track your expenses and maximize the usage of your credit cards. 😀
