I came to ballet late, not as a dancer but as a writer possessed of an unquenchable passion for the art form. Within dance and the people who inhabit that realm, I have finally found a home. This is a great series. Beautifully done.
very much enjoyed watching this series, very well put together. it also gave me a very much broader insight of dance schools i would want to apply to in a year
As an ex dancer I so enjoyed this series.I particularly liked the dancers talking, it is a mute art. I had to take a year off before I could even look at ballet again after I quit
Thank you thank you thank you!!!! NYCB is my absolute favorite company in the world and until recently there wasn't much online that showed them dancing. Since I can't fly into NYC for the season I grab at anything I can watch concerning this company. Thanks so much for the upload.
if there is such thing as reincarnation I know for a fact I would come back as a hardcore ballet dancer! I did ballet for years when I was younger & my mom being a single parent couldn't afford it & I had to quit..wish more than anything I would've gotten back into it! that stage is where I am suppose to be..maybe in another lifetime :)
Hey, now... you may never have the chance to join a top company like NYCB, but if you're willing to dedicate yourself to dance there are still a lot of opportunities out there for you! I know a lot of people in your situation who went on to start their own small companies or become well-respected teachers, choreographers, etc. The traditional career path of a ballerina is just one way to a life of dancing, not the only way. Don't give up!
*”Dancers are just regular people!* Indeed you are Chase! This is by far my favorite series!! I’ve watched it at least four times in its entirety now. But this time around it was sad, with all the controversy around Chase and Amar. It’s also interesting to see Andrew and Megan talking about kids. They’ve since divorced, Megan had a baby, and Andrew is dating another dancer within the company. Edit: typo
AOL Originals These series make my entire year (for the past two consecutive years) I truly cherish the fact that we get to see behind the scenes of NYCB through these series! Thank you so much!
I loved this series! Probably the first ballet series I really, genuinely enjoyed. For Season 3, can there be an episode on the student to teacher(master) relationship, and maybe how that changes throughout the ranks at a company. I would be thrilled to see an ep like this in the future!
I read just today that CRAIG HALL is retiring from the stage today at Saratoga Springs! :-( I don't know why; it didn't say. This was a blurb with a photo on InstaGram from Kyle Forman the photographer. He's leaving so quietly by retiring in Saratoga.
Wonder what happened to Chase Finlay. Did he pay for his actions? Is his career over? Like, honestly I’d think no company would want to take him after all he did.
I know who Chase Finlay is as a person. He is horrible and all around not a good guy. I wouldnt pay money to see him in a show if he only danced for 30 seconds out of 2 hours.
Have you thought about doing a "where are they now"? follow up series?
This series was so well done.
Happy you enjoyed it as much as we loved making it!
This is so beautiful. Thank you for uploading this series.
Happy you enjoyed it!

I love Amar Ramasar, Chase Finlay, Sara Mearns, Craig Hall, Ashley Bouder, Georgina Pazcoguin, Megan Fairchild, Andrew Veyette, and Harrison Ball.
beautiful series, ballet is a world all of its own, what wonderful young people, so inspiring, God bless them all

Just finished watching the whole series. Wonderful!
@AOL Originals, thank you for putting together a good series!
Welcome! We just renewed city.ballet for a second season!
AOL Originals These series make my entire year (for the past two consecutive years) I truly cherish the fact that we get to see behind the scenes of NYCB through these series! Thank you so much!

Is a 3rd season coming????
Louise von Montfort wtf do u think th last season was literally 3 or 4 years ago
So good! Please do more of these.
GREAT series!!thanks so much for uploading!!

Update: he is helping run NYCB and SAB... he is on the upper levels of leading the company and school 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
This episode's settings makes it unavailable for viewing in Singapore. It's painful to watch spellbound 11 episodes & not be able to catch the finale!
I wrote to AoL. and they fixed it for me (I´m from Argentina and had the same problem),so write to them!
Belinda Au Yong so sorry about that! You should be able to watch the episode here: Finale | Ep. 12 | city.ballet
Will there be an update if the dancers? Will there be a third season?
Amar and Chase are gone!
Yeah, they are sexual harassers.
Amar is back now
@@Someoneonplanetsirius
kinda...
I don't think that he actually danced at all.
@@Jayjen35 yeah haven't seen any videos or posts featuring him so far...but he is back in the company for sure!
@@Jayjen35 i can't imagine anyone wanting to dance with him. Then he announced his retirement.
anyone know the ending song name?
Wonder what happened to Chase Finlay. Did he pay for his actions? Is his career over? Like, honestly I’d think no company would want to take him after all he did.
How to improve turnout? Anyone please advice.
Why doesitsay the video is not playable?
Sorry about that! Are you watching in the US?
No, but i watched all the other videos of this series without any problem. It is inly this one that doesn't play.
AOL Originals I cannot watch it either (in Hong Kong). It must be a geoblocker? There is ways around it but my unblocker doesn't seem to be helping :(

WOW ballet dancers are REGULAR people too?!
I thought chase and amar were superheroes, but I guess they're just arrogant "regular" people...
