Considering she was laughing, he probably didnt scratch her at all, and if he did it was barely a nick. Cats typically dont use their claws when playing gently like that with their owners

My maine coon will paw you but not use her claws. However my old Maine coon that died was a male and he was way more deadly. He used his claws all the time and they were really big and sharp.
I had a Maine Coon for 18 years. His name was Homer, and he had a rough upbringing before we caught him and brought him in. He ended up being the sweetest boy who would lay on your lap and purr for a while. After he was done, he’d lay next to you. You could still pet him, but I think he got too hot laying on a lap. He became a father and grandfather and was so gentle with the kittens. And he and my dog Alex were best pals, raised alongside one another. They’re both gone now, having passed about a year and a half apart. I miss that big ol’ boy Homer, and my dog Alex, too.

I rescued a Maine Coon off the streets. He hated people and was feral. But he went from that to sleeping in bed with me and following me everywhere. He passed away last summer at 20 years old. He was my best friend!
One of my friend's family when I was a kid had one that they named Goliath. My favorite memory of him was him snuggling their other cat's litter of kittens (he wasn't the father) when she was away from them. He would groom them, grab them and bring them back to the kitten area if they tried to wander too far, and let them climb all over him. One of the best cats I ever knew.
Had a mainecoon mix for 16 years named Kaos he was found on the side of the highway with a busted lip that never fully healed. He got his name because at the humane society he did not get along with other cats at all. After bringing the handsome grey boy home he turned into the most loving companion I have ever had in my life. He always came when he was called and loved head scratches more then anything. Sadly cancer got him 5 years ago, may he rest in peace.
It's even better that they let people know what they're getting into, doesn't make me love them any less. Hopefully I'll have the honour of owning one in the future
I have a Maine Coon and she taught herself (and me I suppose) how to play fetch. She uses an old children's bracelet (those hard plastic ones in specific shapes that never fit) and a large blue ring that no one knows where she got it from. She'll drop it at your feet (or on top of you if you're trying to sleep) and will keep meowing and moving around until you throw it. Then she'll sprint after it and carry it back to you so you can throw it again. She loves it a lot
She probably got the bracelet and the ring from the same source, a kid she had for breakfast! And she isn't playing fetch, she's presenting her trophies.🧐
My cat used to play fetch and acted like a meerkat when she fist came home she would stand on 2 legs and sniff everything. Now she's an elderly cat who gets the zoomys and gets tucked in every night. 😸
@@Sickzero hahaha, if she wasn't such a scaredy cat and my mom hadn't given het the bracelet I might have believed you. But there were no children involved (this time)

I had a Maine coone for the best 12 years of my life. She was an amazing ~~little~~ floofball who was the light of my life. She was a family cat, outside cat, house cat, professional mouse catcher and snuggle machine at the same time. We still miss her to this day. At the later years of her life, she was 11 if I recall it correctly, she started showing signs of kidney failure. She lasted so long and powered through like a boss. We buried her in the back garden of the family house, where our other cats, who never got to know her, sit to this day. We miss you and hope you’re having the best time in cat heaven ❤ Rest in peace love
(Here is a story that you’re most likely not going to read, but if you do thank you.) I actually have a cat that’s part Maine coon. Even though he’s only part, he is the most doesn’t have I’ve ever seen. You can see the “M” on his head like any other Maine coon, but not absolutely humongous like one. Walk up to humans and animals that are bigger than him and just tried to cuddle. Unfortunately, that’s how we almost lost him though. Two big dogs went up to him while he was outside. They started attacking him and Mooky (my part Maine coon)had no idea what was going on. He tried to make friends with them, but they thought the opposite. One of them grabbed him by his back and swung him around. Luckily, my mom came out and was about to jump on them and Granddad came out with a gun. The dogs ran away And Mooky was OK. unfortunately before my parents got him, he was declawed.(my parents are NOT the ones that told them too by the way)
I had one. His name was Bobby. Extremely large cat with fluffy hair. His tail had been gnawed off by a coyote and the owners dumped him on me. Due to that,he couldn’t balance, and we had a domestic shorthair(Socks, his bestie for the restie)that would help him climb things. Bobby even learned how to open doors and cabinet doors with his big size and his friend. Miss him and Socks.

@@devilmecare 20? That's excellent. But while care is important, genetics plays a big factor. Generally speaking, the Maine Coon breed is known for their longevity/lifespan, which I understand could possibly be as much as 25 years.

“Gentle giants” tell that to our late cat fluffy, lived for like 18 years. Fought off 2 coyotes and a mama bobcat just for the hell of it in his lifetime. No territory issues, no need to protect himself or loved ones, just went out looking for trouble.

Mine used to wake me up by meowing (obviously louder than normal) and smack face face with his paw 😂🤣🤣 in his defense he did always need something He was the runt of the babies but when the mom would get into stand offs with the big dog that little runt would run in front of his momma and put his paws up and claws out and try his baby hiss at the dog to try and intimidate him 😂😂 was a 150lb pit mix, but that kitty had the heart of a lion and had to keep him❤

I can definitely relate to the loss of a pet, they become family. I once rescued a cat from drowning by jumping in a deep pool to save it but I won't do that again. Once on land , she almost ripped me to shreds. What did I do wrong ?
@@leonceboudreauxwolf Not a thing wrong, but I am surprised she didn't rip you to shreds before you got to land....i will now tell you a little story. Growing up on the coast, we always had access to fishing, boating, marsh and bayou. At least once a year we would hear stories of one or more people drowning, and my friends dad would always tell us you never try to save a drowning person unless you are trained to do so, as they will drown you with them. You throw them a flotation device. Well I was not the best swimmer, and we used to go swimming by my friends aunts house. I would stay to where I could touch the bottom, which was about half way, but one day my friends brother decided he would drag me out to deeper waters. I panicked when I felt myself slipping benign the water, and grabbed my friends brother by his shoulders to push myself up....and thereby pushing him under This was all 100% involuntary, and I had no controll. Survival mode kicked in, and I probably would have climed on top of his head if I hadn't been able to get back to where I could touch the bottom again. We both looked at each other after that split second, and knew exactly what his dad had been talking about. This is what happens when a person feels they are about to drown. I know that I would have absolutely done anything to get my head above that water, and yes, without control, or rational thought, we both knew that I would have drowned him to get air if things didn't play out like they did. He never tried that shht again that day, and I don't believe I got invited back to swim more than once or twice after that. The cat was basically in survival mode at that point, and probably just needed some time to collect itself. But you did a good thing bro👊

(Here is a story that you’re most likely not going to read, but if you do thank you.)
I actually have a cat that’s part Maine coon. The dogs ran away And Mooky was OK. unfortunately before my parents got him, he was declawed.(my parents are NOT the ones that told them too by the way)
or attack the girls head in a way that obviously hurt

@@chaseofearth9280 🤣🤣 scratch your eyes out*
@@aristotelisdiomidis9350 haha yeah that too 😄
I have a regular sized cat that looks just like one, and he is the gentlest and most talkative cat I've met.
Maybe he’s a runt of his Maine coon litter
I have a very tiny cat with stubby legs but everything else about her is very much like this. I know her mom was normal sized, short hair and orange. I often wonder how the hell does the dad look for the offspring to be tiny grey fluffball
Same! I had a cat when I was younger who I thought as a kid was a Maine coon because he looked like every picture of one. He wasn’t but he was still adorable
@@lordmonocr6206i had a coon and bengal mix. looks just like a mini coon
I had a cat that was some mix where she looked and acted like a maine coon but she was maybe 1/5 the size
I love that them kitties just do the opposite of the narrator’s words
Dude held that cat like you would hold a fish to make it bigger looking on camera💀💀💀💀
“Also because of their sweet nature.” *Hits somebody in the face*
Literally pulled her eyeball out 👀
@@howdaretheeIt didn't, she got batted in the face and was stunned. 🙄
All mans said was "This is a large cat that does cat things"
most cats are assholes though
@@fangornthewiseYou say that like it's a bad thing, lol.
@@fangornthewise That’s the stereotype lol, but it’s usually an untrue one. If you know how to treat them well, they will treat you well too.
@@fangornthewise bro pulled that outta both his front and his back hole
I want one… how much do they cost
I like how "gentle" for a cat just means.
Only punches me in the face sometimes.
Me thinking that when the cat touches is it touches back
Present: *jumps up and down and hit a table and ran into a wall*

She was the dumbest cat ever, but i loved her so much
