- Although it’s a simple word, many of us struggle with using it. We don’t want to let people down and for some of us we don’t want to offend anyone. So we continue to say yes while being burned out, resentful, and stressed. Not to mention some people will even take advantage of your kindness and use you up. Be kind to yourself by setting limits on what you can and can’t do. There’s power in your no.

It's a simple word but when applied correctly can be life changing🙂. At one point in my life( in my early 20s )I was apart of 7 different things and did at least 3 each Sunday at a church we attended.. doing all this stuff plus being a wife and mother of 3 young kids at the time. I was stressed, my family was neglected- even though I was doing "ministry "... I had to let it go. The Lord showed me then... busy doing a bunch of works doesnt mean effectiveness. Learning to say no was and is still a blessing. Some folks will offload every task onto you cause they know you wont turn them down. Don't put yourself in that position.
