I never had an issue with my knot sliding
Good for you
@@yourdad573 Thanks
For real I didn’t know this was an issue lmao, although a spinner isn’t my go to so I’ve only used one a few days every so often
I feel it has to slip into that slot once you start your retrieve. Regardless of where it’s sitting when you throw it out
I have it happen just about every time I use one unfortunately
Great tip! Thanks!!
Tight lines, my brother 🎣
A better hack than that is to use a small split ring. I have had many spinner baits straightened out and eventually they will break from bending them back into place. The split ring will give you added strength and also keep your line from slipping. I found this hack from Gerald Swindell
Ok I will try ❤
I recognize those $1 walmart spinners anywhere. It's nice throwing into sketchy stuff and not being afraid to lose them! Love em!
When you’re reeling it in, it’s not gonna slide on the wire anyway. If you’re not reeling it in your not fishing. If you’re not fishing then it doesn’t matter.
Genuinely a genius
Twisty ties work really good too
So when you set the hook too hard you bend the metal apart and it causes it to swim lop-sided. This also works for steel leaders.
Great clips. Thanks man.
Have got to try that .good tip.
Pretty slick 💯
Nice, great tip brother
NICE!!!! finally 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻!!! it gets old always having to pull that line up or untangling from the spoons 🙌🏻🙌🏻 THANK YOU!!
Great TIP. Thanks for sharing. That’s a new one, been fishing over 40 years.
That's actually a great idea thanks man
Thanks ❤
I buy ones that are twisted, but you can do it yourself with a pliers and a paper towel.
Can’t believe I’ve never thought of that
Do they slide around for you? I’ve NEVER had an issue.
I don’t understand why they don’t put a loop there like other spinnerbait types. Is it necessary for the action of the lure? I hate it.
Split rings work well also
Perfect fi using clips
I usually just use a pair of pliers and twist the wire to form a closed eye.
That's BRILLIANT 😮😮😮😮
Be careful though that can really weaken the metal. If it’s a more expensive lure too, just be mindful 😬
@@drexelzybko9703 i make musky bucktails using the exact same wire. That wire isn't gonna break.
Just use a polamore knot if it is tied properly it will not move .
Good idea and I have used some safety wire for this and it has worked well.
Or you could just slide the tubing on the spinner before tying your line on.
Use a bread tie wire melt plastic and use wire keeps steal leaders from sliding
split ring works better
Heat shrink... youre welcome!
Spinners come with that
Get a Googan spinner bait it comes with something like that out of the box
No.
Googan=Gay
@@StonrMoose69 40 year old man in his moms basement hating on kids that’s crazy
@@Luca_Silvio dickriding "kids" is just as weird homie
Yeah but he's not wrong though @@Luca_Silvio
What's wrong with googan baits, don't know much about them so I'm genuinely curious.
Thank you man every know and then when I get one it comes with a little rubber band but it doesn’t last long definitely gonna try this
GREAT IDEA
I have that exact spinner lol
They used to have a twisted loop there.
The new ones are crap.
I use tiny o rings. I'll try this though. I bet that plastic tubing is cheaper than a bag of o rings.
Good tip, but I've personally never had any issues with my line sliding on a spinner bait so much that to require this technique. I guess it depends on what knot and line being used 🤷♂️
Your guys knots slide?
Knot wont slide around if your using it correctly
I’ll be doing that with a buzz bait too
Thanks for the hack I got lures that no matter how you tie it it moves after a few cast pain in the ass
i never that a problem either. you would think the manufacturer would fix that
i just got some of these but i’ve had no luck any tips
Don't you guys use clips?
I just buy the ones that are twisted there and have a loop.
I have been using O-rings
Couldn’t you just put the tubing on the spinnerbait before tying on the line?
Ty
I was looking this up and this is the video I saw. We have the exact same spinner bait.
Use rubber tubing don’t use plastic
Have never, ever had my knot move on a spinner bait
Could you just use a o ring for wacky rigs or are they too big
Too big probably
most brands like googan come with one
That’s a 1$ Walmert bait which are actually good for the price.
Amazing $1 spinnerbait from walmart
If you’re slipping when you have a spinner bait, then you’re not tying a knot correctly.
No hate just saying I’ve never had a line move.
Look up spinner bait knots. Not every knot will hold on an open end like normal hook eye.
Love
Mine came with a little black thing like this is that not normal
Damn man thx hate that when u does that not now
You just double around the wire before tying the knot.
Tie a better knot and it won’t slide. Cool video I left a like. Always support a good fishing Chanel 😊
Js but a leader
I’ve fished a spinnerbait a thousand times and that’s never happened
Great idea but I've never had my line slide around on a spinner bait... maybe I'm alone her e
i just bend the whole spinner to close the gap
So I’ve been tying my knot in the wrong part of the spinner bait anyways
i got the same spinner bait
that’s perfect if you use a clip
Even better if you’re using a clip
What exactly is the purpose of this? I’ve been fishing open wire spinnerbaits for 30+ years and never had an issue that this would fix…?
Your knot slipping down the spinnerbait
@@Langley-Outdoors Is that common in your experience? I can’t say as though I’ve ever had that happen.
@@RFTwoit usually happens when you catch a fish and the bass starts thrashing. The spinner bait around the line tends to slip out towards the blade
@@AltAccount7 I believe you guys, but man, I’ve fished spinnerbaits an awful lot the last 30+ years and I have never had my knot move out of place. Are you folks fishing straight braided line? Maybe that’s the difference? I’m always running mono or fluorocarbon to my baits.
@@RFTwo I use like 15 to 20 lb braid and about 2 to 6 ft of 8 to 12 lb fluorocarbon leader from vanish. I have found it happens more often with the cheap $2 spinner baits from Walmart versus a quality lure. To be honest, I'm more of a rubber worm man myself 😉 tight lines everybody
Just get googan spinners
Oh my god
Just buy a non dog-shit spinner bait that has a close loop where that bend is
What
Doin too much bud
It
I've never had this problem
Just buy a new spinnerbait😂😂
