What I find most interesting about this episode is how it showcases Deku's faults as much as Kacchan. Izuku thinks All Might is completely unbeatable and doesn't even think about fighting, which is a terrible mindset for a hero. Like Gran Torino said earlier in the season, one of Deku's biggest obstacles is his admiration of All Might that prevents him from being his own hero.

I loved the metaphore about the wall, Bakugo see All Might as a wall that he cant pass over and All Might talking about Deku overpassing that wall 🥰

Bakugo: Origin was an awesome episode, season two as a whole was AMAZING. For all anime only watchers I am so hyped to see all your reactions to "Katsuki Bakugo: Rising" in Season 6, for me it was definitely the moment were if you were a Bakugo hater you turned into a Bakugo lover
Manga Bakugo has had one of the most significant character arcs in all of shonen imo
Are we sure it'll be season 6 though that they do this? I know what your talking about, but...what if they decide to actually create a season 7?
@@poisoned_alchemist_of_life7232 I'm not sure how much they are adapting in Season 6 but ( MINOR SPOILERS for non manga readers) it's definetly the whole war arc and ends with Deku leaving UA, but I am hopefully the adapt some of the vigilante arc.

Both are half right in this one!! because Deku can never even think of fighting All Might (purely because of admiration)
And although Kacchan is too prideful to run away, he is quite right that they can never out run All Might
I like that in the end they meet half way, which is also the correct answer in this situation
Both are part of what All Might do to be a hero, Bakugo always wins and Deku always saves everyone.

All-Might vs Deku and Bakugo
Target: Bakugo
Intended Victory: Meant to be guaranteed loss
These 2 made the biggest mistakes in their progression so far. Deku involved non-trained, non-licensed civilians to backup against Stain, and Bakugo learned Jack at his internship and is a consistent bully. And was in DESPERATE need of being humbled. So they were put against All-Might with each other as punishment.
If Bakugo won this exam and beat a pro, his pride would inflate beyond recovery in all likelihood. All-Might had EVERY reason to fail Deku intentionally since extra classes are nothing but beneficial to his successor. He WANTS him to learn as much as possible as fast as possible. But Deku luckily figured out not just EXACTLY what he needed to do against Stain to finish the fight, but did EXACTLY what made All-Might so proud All-Might intentionally let them win. (In such a way Deku would learn how to throw himself into oblivion with even MORE reckless abandon as that is what OFA is for…but is DETRIMENTAL to Deku’s self worth and basic survival instincts.) All-Might’s instantaneous sprints could’ve kept going to stop them had he chosen, since he had already stopped coughing as he watched for a WHILE as they escaped, he knew their plan to win of divided hit and run, and he had enough time in his form to carry them to Recovery Girl STILL IN MUSCLE FORM, and STILL wearing the weights. He LET them win.
So let’s point out some things. Every single shot was a kill shot. You talked about concussions, but there was not a single punch, kick, slam, or ANYTHING that wouldn’t cause whiplash, concussions, cracked bones (like nearly breaking Deku’s spine), and just small things like Deku bouncing 10 feet INTO A BUS AND MOVING THE BUS SEVERAL FEET OFF A BOUNCE, these two were made PAVEMENT. Not to mention those weights actually hurt a HELL of a lot more than helped them. All-Might is 560 lbs. so his weights total to 280 lbs. 6 total. So each ring weight weighs over 45 lbs. Now imagine getting punched by 90 EXTRA lbs for his punches, and getting stomped on with 45 lbs of extra weight. That actually hurts WAY more.
All-Might…didn’t get hurt by these kids. How do I know? There isn’t a mark on him, OR his clothes. Not ONE scuff. And Deku used 100% to get All-Might off of Bakugo to save him. Red veins, big wind current, the whole shebang. That was Deku’s egg in the microwave 100% punch. And all it did was make All-Might turn his head. Again, not a scratch to be seen. The only thing that did ANYTHING to him was his own time limit. And NOTHING else. Bakugo’s explosions didn’t even do anything to knock back All-Might since he flew through them no problem.
And we can actually side by side Deku’s 100% punches from earlier in the show to All-Might’s CITY DESTROYING PUNCH. Deku at NO POINT, has done ANYTHING as close to this across the WHOLE SHOW. So when I said All-Might is 20 times stronger than Deku at MAXIMUM? (And I am referring to injured All-Might. Prime is 60x so that’s 1,200x Deku at max.) I meant it. And we even SAW Deku use 100% ON All-Might to no effect! Deku has a LONG way to go for his preparation for AFO. I legit had to come up with a system of progression for Deku to actually get to this power without this show pulling a One Piece….and I had to rule out Deku starts at All-Might’s 100%, and Deku learns 1% at a time. This episode is proof it’s neither. We’ll get there when more info comes out.
I don't think he used 100% there, the animations for his quirk activation are always the same, if he had used it I think we would have seem at least some sort of reaction on the scenery like a gust of wind or shockwave hitting the ground and buildings behind, but as you said he just made him slightly turn his face. If this is a direct reaction to 100% of his current power output capacity, what you are saying is that Bakugo's explosion blast, a teen child with no real hero combat experience, is greater than 100% of Allmight's power, since those blasts actually held him back. So yeah, nice guess but no actual evidence or logic.
EDIT: I read your comment once more and found why you think he is capable of punching people at 100% without injuring himself, which never happens mind you, when you say 100% egg in the microwave punch. Most people get his idea from his NOMU punch at the end of season one but the fact is that the only reason we had no injuries after that particular and only single instance is because of the NOMU's shock absorption effect. He absorbed the shock, therefore no damage was recoiled to his puny arms. Just think back at the Stain fight, he even says he forgot some control and thought he had broken his arm on the last punch, and he most definately did not used 100% power there, and almost broke his arm so there is really no instance in the anime of him using more power than he can handle and having no effects. The power recoil that he suffers from One for All is not a mind trick, it is physical repercutions of his body beeing too weak, the egg in the microwave bit is to control the output of power as to not break him, the egg, and not to nullify its very phisical effect which makes no sense at all that a mind trick would allow him to bypass physical tangible prerequisits to use the power.
@@TheTsuryuu we…we did. That’s what I just said. Deku used 100% to punch All-Might. Red veins, giant wind gust. Deku physically can’t use anything above 5% without going all out. The only other limitation he has is when he uses it on a person, (by physically punching them, not pure shockwave) he subconsciously puts the breaks on himself to not kill them. That’s all he has. All-Might is 20x STRONGER than what Deku has displayed in his INJURED STATE. And it becomes REALLY obvious when you side by side Deku’s 100% blasts, and All-Might’s unknown % blasts. Had Deku’s blasts been comparable to All-Might, he would’ve killed half the audience at the sports festival, and would’ve killed Todoroki too. Or would have leaped WAY past the robot in the entrance exam, or would have completely annihilated the building killing Iida and Uraraka.
Bakugo’s blasts are weaker than Deku’s 100%. By a decent margin at this point. I don’t think he sent All-Might flying at any point. I think All-Might just jumped backwards out of the smoke. (Again, no sign of external damage at ALL on All-Might. He was completely unfazed.)
I specifically rule out Deku starting at All-Might’s 100%, and Deku learns 1% at a time. For events to play out as they did this episode, neither can be true. So there must be a method for which Deku charges himself to All-Might’s power and beyond it. And I HAVE come up with a way, but it doesn’t become relevant til season 3. For very specific purposes.
