    I've been to Niseko 3 times, and this vid brings back so many great memories. Next trip will be Niseko, Moara, and Asahidake. Nothing compares to the pow in Hokkaido. Excellent vid!

    I've had 240cm of snow in a week in Niseko. Hokkaido can be out of this world and so much to access if you are into your backcountry

    Love it Yari! Looks like too much fun. I don't think I've ever skied that much powder but thanks to you Niseko is atop my vacation destination list. I actually just finished up a few days skiing in Whistler. Trying to get the perfect shots was so much harder than I expected. Looks like you got it down though! Keep at it & keep shredding as much as possible!

    Love Japan ski videos! Japan would be a dream trip for me. I just wish I knew how much of the terrain in of all of these Japan videos are accessible off of lifts vs. backcountry skinning or out of bounds (I've never skinned). My understanding is that tree skiing is out of bounds? It would be nice to know what I'd actually be skiing if I stay in bounds. Any companies that set up ski trips to Japan from North America? Would love to look into what's involved to actually get over there? Best time of winter to have consistent snowfall? Thanks!

    We already committed to our trip this winter to Austria so will have to wait until 2016. My brother has been raving about Japan for ages so to shut him up we've decided to go. I've watched so many videos and can't get my head around the snow conditions and cannot wait for 2015 to come and go. It does not seem easy to get to, what do you suggest?

    • @ruthless015
      @ruthless015  9 років тому +3

      Hey Ben it's not very hard to get there. I'd suggest any hotel in Hirafu village which is in your budget. Hirafu is the biggest village in the area with lots of restaurants and places to go out. To get there, fly to Sapporo then catch the bus. Just make sure your flight arrives early enough to catch the last bus (around 9pm from memory).

    Yari....most amazing pow vid I've ever watched, and I've watched lots! Was all of this terrain accessible from lifts or are you skinning in or using cats? I have been told it is so extremely busy at Japanese ski resorts but clearly you have it figured out. I can't imagine snow like this! Well, I can imagine and this would be so top of the bucket list. Can you give ball park costs on an average hotel room and lift tickets? I'm gonna have to share this to a few buddies and get them dreaming of Niseko!

    • @ruthless015
      @ruthless015  7 років тому +1

      Thanks for the kind words! All of the terrain was accessible from lifts. It is very busy, but if you get out there first thing in the morning there's enough fresh tracks to be had for everyone. Lift passes are about 50USD per day. The place I stayed at was about 45USD per night but this will vary a lot depending on how nice it is, and how close to the lifts it is. Good luck with your trip!

    Amazing! The only thing that could have made it any better would have been a snowboard ;)

    This is a trip of a lifetime for me so would be helpful if you could help out by suggesting a few resort and your experience of the logistics. Sick video by the way, just about sums up the draw of powder. I'm guessing you've still got a hard-on now.

      That's my favorite track at the moment! Was trying the same thing a few days ago. If only the song existed when I made the video! Might use it for the next one ;-)
