To give you guys clarification on how Scourge got beaten by Sonic in the first bout. Well that is not Archie Sonic, its IDW or Canon Sonic from the games, the reason why Scourge is beaten by Sonic is because the Blue Blur has the Frontiers Moveset, as shown in the screen he has;
Parry (used to Parry Scourge's spin dash) and Phantom Rush (use to beat Scourge)
While Scourge, as you know it, has the pre-frontiers Moveset from the Archie Sonic Comics
Like the Spindash and the Homing Attack.
And to give more detail why Scourge is referring to the Alternative Universe is because of the Genesis Wave from Archie specifically the first ever Genesis wave before the second one that cause the soft reboot and also Scourge is on the Canon Realm aka the Official Sega realm or IDW realm as on screen Tangle is there after Sonic(IDW) and Scourge's fight

So Basically, Despite Scourge Being Another Version Of Sonic But With An Permanent Master Emerald Power Boost, Game Sonic Is Just Much More Stronger, Faster, Has More Battle Experience And Is More Powerful Than Scourge? Makes Sense.

Since Back In Sonic Forces, Not Only Did Game Sonic Beat Infinite (An Sonic Villain Who's Empowered By Phantom Ruby - Which Is More Powerful Than The Master Emerald) In His Base Form. But Unlike Scourge, Game Sonic Can Actually Grow and Become More Powerful Every Second (Plus, You Can Have Both Generations and Frontiers To Prove That For Obvious Reasons). So, In Conclusion. Sure Scourge Maybe More Cooler, Better Looking and Is Equally Just As Powerful As Archie Sonic, But He Still Would Mostly Likely Lose To Game Sonic Due To Having More Battle IQ/ Experience, Is More Skillful, Stronger and Faster Than Scourge.

Summary: Tangle the Lemur and Whisper the Wolf are no strangers to having adventures. They've teamed up with Sonic the Hedgehog and taken on the creeps that threw their lot with Eggman by themselves. But this latest adventure is turning out to be a strange one. An old PDA found in the forest spat out a holo-lynx that called herself Nicole, and she's begging for help to find her friends. Well, Sonic is unavailable so its up to these two heroes to help out their new friend… and discover some shocking truths about their world.
They currently have gotten back to Mobotropolis right about now. Tangle and Whisper talking about how the politics of the council is pisspoor compared to how actual democracy works was pretty damn funny.
