The way that line was delivered really shows how much Cream has lost her happy attitude. She's lost everything. Poor girl. Someone give her a hug!

By far the saddest issue of the series, every character seems so despered and sad. And WOW, Im really impressed with Whisper's VA (scrillow), she did a fenomenal job!

I shouldn't be surprised to see you here, and I agree with this being one of my favourite issues and with the voice acting being great

Ian Flynn took this way farther than any writer ever has with Sonic. It's heart wrenching watching heroes get infected, but you can also see Sonic slowly see himself as less if a hero, and more of a failure who can't protect his friends. His attitude pulled him through tons of tough situations, but here? It made everything worse. It's actually genius, and it's the most personal and relatable Sonic has ever been. This dub was amazing too. Can't wait for more.
It was based on a skin in Sonic Heroes
I think the design is it. Everything else, all Flynn.
What's funny is how much emotion an emotionless Sonic has been able to portray. Sega didn't want IDW to give sonic really any feelings besides happy, cocky or annoyed but somehow Ian managed to get around that by having Sonic feel *nothing*. Or at least not show his feelings. In this arc he seems so distant from even the reader that it's genuinely impressive how emotive he is despite seeming so hollow.
Man I can’t wait to see how he handles the writing of Sonic Frontiers
This is the Sonic that we should have received. Not just with Sonic himself but all the characters. Not what we got from the games post-Colors.
This issue was the only one that Sonic had friendly contact that didn’t get someone infected. Sonic and tangle hugging each other is one of the sad moments in this issue.
How Sonic felt responsible for everything that is happening to everyone and being reminded of that is truly heartbreaking.
Edit Landy and Riodies you did good with Sonic and tangle in that moment.
To be fair i dont think he had any friendly contact besides that in this arc
@@BobThePenguin. that’s what I mean he’s been fighting the zombots all this time and when Amy was in distress when contacting the rescue shuttle being infected he couldn’t do anything to console her then walk away.
6:32 This right here? This is the moment I've bee waiting for since you guys started this arc. And by god did you fucking DELIVER! Whisper's VA really fucking sold it and FUCK it was so good and sad. Between the sound design, incredible original sound track and again the AMAZING voice acting you guys have made the definitive way to experience these comics.

Truly the most heartbreaking scenes to sit and listen too. Whisper's despair and sorrow. Everyone losing their mind. Sonic holding back tears. Tangle turning.
What a true masterpiece and the best delivered by Adrenaline Dubs!
It hurts to see childhood heroes start to die internally because of a small fuckup on Sonic's part. If the Metal Virus becomes canon to the Gameverse, then many people may not look at Sonic the same again, and since there is not a lick of Eggman from what I've seen, I'm starting to think MV had some sort of effect on the gameverse world...

Cream looks so dead inside…everything seems to be going downhill from here…and Whisper’s reaction as well was just…wow…
She's not just lost her companions Cheese and Chocola, but seen them turn into ravenous monsters attacking innocents when they're supposed to be the cutest creatures alive and even in the midst of her trying to be upbeat and optimistic for everyone else, she was helpless and could do nothing but watch her mother be swarmed and turned into the same monster in what was supposed to be have been the safest place in the world, all the while, they're losing more and more friends with each passing day with no sign of the nightmare ending in sight.
Dont worry, it gets worse! :)
The wiki also suggests she was mad at Sonic because his judgment caused all of this, but looking at her, I know she would have made the same choice.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate Ian Flynn’s writing in these issues?
We wouldn’t have been so drawn into these incredibly compelling Story Arcs in the IDW comics of it weren’t for his history with Sonic and story telling.
He writes characters so well and brings out the best in them all. Even in dire situations such as the Metal Virus!
That moment at 7:11 was *perfect*
The sheer silence when she was fully turned into a zombot was very impactful
Even though she was most likely unaware that the more she fights, the faster the process is
I suspect she DID know. She'd previously been using various objects to fight to avoid making direct contact, despite already being infected. She simply ran out of stuff to use, I think. She knew that the plan she proposed would result in her turning quickly. She could only hope to buy enough time for the others to take off.
Oh no she DEFINITELY knows.

The rest of the saga hasn't exactly been the most emotionally pleasant story I've ever read
Whisper already has PTSD from her old team being killed by Eggman's Shadow Androids. So learning that Tangle, her best friend, is now another mindless Zombot? That's probably triggering it something fierce.

6:32 was just amazing. Whisper's scream with the swell of the violins and Amy struggling to keep Whisper from running into the fray and Sonic can't do anything-

I cannot give individual praises because everyone, and I mean everyone, did such a beautiful job. From the VAs to the score to the editing, everyone did such an incredible job and I can tell you all put everything in for this dub. Hats off to you as a team, Adrenaline Dubs!
Whisper’s VA did absolutely fantastic here, I was shaking when she screamed, like damn y’all do some fantastic work here, can’t wait for the next issue
For Whisper to lose her first true friend since her fellow Diamond Cutter mercenaries were betrayed and killed is so gut wrenching.😭😭😭

I actually stopped everything I was doing when whispered screamed for Tangle. Literally was at a loss for words. Beautiful performance by the entire VA team behind this.
Whisper is just such an amazing character... Her bond with Tangle is perfect and her reaction when she find out shes "dead" is just breaking my heart...
It also hurt a lot and I won't be able to get that out in my head and heart😥

I can't explain how perfect this is.
I thought the art portrayed her sadness in the best way, and that nothing could make it better. I was easily proven wrong, that voice really sounded like she lost someone she truly cared about. God damn, actually had me get some goosebumps. These VAs are awesome.
This dub was nothing less than incredible. The feels were there and the dubbing was fucking brilliant!! Whispers breakdown hit me so hard, everyone did such an amazing job! 💙

The part that gets me about this issue is that it still hits like a ton of bricks, despite knowing that Tangle and everyone else will be ok in the end.
Of course we know that Tangle isn't going to stay a Zombot forever, but the way Whisper reacts to it is the heartbreaking part. She's all too familiar with tragically losing her friends, which is why she's apprehensive to making new relationships in the first place.
But against all odds, she's grown such an affinity for Tangle to the point where she's back to square one after learning the news of her infection. Whisper is barely in this issue, but she and her VA steal the show here. Genuinely got me tearing up...
Also like with her old friends who died to shadow androids kinda look and act like zombots and now since she was not with her friends last she lost them and again since she was not with her friend she lost them and now she is reliving her greats fear
I legit just discovered you TODAY. All of this work is absolutely astounding! I absolutely love the storyline, all the suspense is killing me! I can’t wait for the premiere!
You can really feel sonic’s helplessness with that “I can’t!”, his friends are hurting and he can’t even do anything about it because one touch is what it takes to make it worse.
I love how as the issues go on, the colors become more desaturated, representing how bad things have gotten
Typing this straight out of the premiere.
As usual, the production value here was outstanding, from the music, to the acting, to the editing--with the obvious highlight being, of course, Whisper's breakdown. I spent the entire runtime up until that point bracing myself, but I still couldn't prepare for how visceral it ended up being. Goosebumps.
Phenomenal work all around.

Indeed, everyone crashed out by this point, Eggman truly needed to die here but couldn't because sadly he's one of the only people can actually fix all this.

Words can't even describe how amazing this issue was. The voice acting, the music, the sound effects, the emotions, the- uuuugh! Everyone did an amazing job! I could literally feel Whisper's heartbreak when she heard about Tangle! I cannot wait for the next issue; keep it up Adrenaline Dubs! 👍

Scrillow did an amazing job as Whisper. I can't stress how emotionally devastating that crying scene was. Probably the most heartbreaking scene that I've ever witnessed in a Sonic product. Even Maria's death was never executed in such a emotional way. Great job, everyone!
How’s this for an emotional gut punch, this hits even more harder than Techno Cinema’s video and that’s saying something. Tangle’s transformation is beautifully done and Whisper’s sorrow is amazing, capturing her animalistic pain about losing someone she loved once again. You guys keep knocking out of the park and I’m here for this ride until it’s finished, keep it up

I cannot say this enough, this is like an incredible dub. It brings these moments to life, the actors keep getting better, the production quality of the music and the panel cuts. I freaking love this and it reminds me why Sonic has the most dedicated fan base. I love this so much.
They say the reaction of the person who cares for the victim is what draws your tears. Well Whisper definitely delivered.
I knew it was coming, and 6:32 *still* broke me. That delivery was visceral.
6:26 I’ve read through the entire arc and I was trying to prepare myself for this part but when it hit god I actually got chills. The voice was absolutely spot on and I definitely felt the pain Whisper was going through. This entire arc shown that the writers attends to do everything they can to make this comic series incredible,fantastic voice acting
No matter how hard one tries to prepare themself, if they couldn't handle the scene before then the addition of such genuine voice acting sure is gonna punch em in the gut harder than they could have ever anticipated.

Whisper and tangle are close..thick as thieves I remember seeing that reaction in the comic but her voice hits hard..
After reading the Comics of the Tangle and Whisper, you really gotta feel for whisper they bonded so much during those Comics and there friendship got much closer and stronger 🥲
Yo Scrillow fucking killed it! The way she screamed out for Tangle was so raw and emotional I fucking loved it it! Honest to God that was the part I was looking forward to the most and I was not disappointed at all. Can't wait to see more from you guys :D
This one made me burst into tears. Bro, Cream being dead inside, Tails losing hope, Whisper losing almost everything to her...this episode broke my heart.
This whole issue is so tense, at the beginning, when Espio went off at Sonic, when Tangle showed the truth about her infection, and when Whisper realized Tangle was doomed to become a zombot. This whole issue was absolutely spectacular. And also, I didn’t even mention the artwork, when half of Espio’s face was covered in darkness, when Whisper’s art style changed right as she ran at for Tangle, this issue is full of amazing things!

The drama, intensity, everything was perfect!
All of the voice actors involved are doing an amazing job as their characters and as for the newer characters, they sound just like I imagined they would. 💙

The combination of RioDies and scrillow's performance and Techno Cinema's score managed to get me teary eyed, which the comic by itself didn't, so kudos!
What made this even more sad is the fact that Whisper has already lost a lot of people in her life that she cared about. That made losing Tangle for her even worse.
Tangle is literally the one person that she’s really close with.
6:32 and 7:28, I bet Whisper is being all "TANGLE! DAMMIT! DAME IT ALLLLL! WHY!? WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE YOU!? WHY!? DAME YOU EGGMAN!! DAME YOOOOU!" just like what happened to Naofumi when he lost the duel against Motoyasu, all because of Malty secretly supported him with magic during the beginning of season 1 of that Shield Hero anime
I have never been a fan of comic dubs EVER. But you guys. Your voices, the editing, everything you guys do makes this easily the BEST Sonic comic dubs I ever seen. Everyone has done such an amazing job. I cannot wait to see the rest of this arc! :)

I also loved the anger in Espio's voice, and the lifelessness of Cream's
5:16 I love this moment where Tngle cheers up Sonic. It's a reversal on his usual role in the story, and interesting to see him start to lose hope as he's pushed to the brink. It takes someone who not only still believes in hope, but places that hope into him to keep his head above water. Just when he starts to doubt his moral philosophy and what his kindness has led to, she picks him back up to let him see all the good that kindness continues to offer. This arc is filled with some really heartwrenching scenes as things just get worse and worse, so seeing a speck of hope even in those moments is so crucial to making the whole storyline work.

This issue is by far my favorite. It just shows how optimistic Tangle is, how much Whisper cares about her, how desperate everyone is, and it gives Sonic character beyond "Gotta Go Fast". You guys did a perfect job portraying everything and I really enjoyed it.
My God!! If this was a TV series or they based a game around this, they would have the PERFECT VA team already with Adrenaline Dubs!!!! They truly bring these stories to life!!! Amazing job!!!

Everything was perfect. The tone, the score, the atmosphere, and the delivery of each line was absolutely flawless.Our heroes were truly at the lowest point and full of dread. You're guys aren't like professional voice actors; your ARE professionals as far as I'm concerned. Can't wait for the next exciting episode.

and seeing this was makes me think of one thing, is that Sonic's may a great hero who cared for his friends, but his cocky attitude could bring an unwanted danger to his friends and even the one he cared about the most

Just the way the music sweels to this peppy, upbeat, downright _heroic_ melody as Tangle looks in the face of danger and the closest thing to death in these comics and still keeps _smiling_ in spite of it all and despite how afraid she probably is. Really just accentuates why I love her so much as a character.
Damn great job! This channel is the only dub I listen to for these comics. I FEEL the emotions from all the VAs. Whisper's VA is the MVP of this episode. Keep up the amazing job!

God I love this dub so much, each voice sounds so natural. I wanna compliment the voice actors but honestly I feel like the direction is the biggest standout. The people handling this entire project are so incredibly talented.
I'm impressed on what Tangle is doing, she got infected by the Zombot metal virus and stayed behind so that Sonic can escape, and I thought Cream was being selfless in these dark times but Tangle?, the characters in these comics can really surprise you, they've always surprised me.

I felt bad for Whisper. They rescued Jewel from the Babaloyn rouges, and captured Mimic the traitor, and now she lost her both Tangle and Jewel to virus. Poor girl.

The way Whisper screamed Tangled, that gave me goosebumps and tears. She already lost her bestest of friends and she cant lose more. And she just did. This really gets me... They did such a good job on the comic.
First she lost (almost) her whole team to the Shadow Androids, and then (temporarily) lost Tangle to the Metal Virus.
I can’t wait to see how this ends! The anticipation is killing me. But I’ll wait no matter what.
