Dave, the "Ohio" meme is oooooooooooold. The ANIMANIACS made a joke about it. Like, the original run of Animaniacs. It is a LOT older than 2016. Animaniac's joke was a reference to the old Calvin Klein commercials. The Warners were in the afterlife, and the line was "All is strange and vague. Are we dead? Or is this Ohio?" People seem to just be picking up on this joke again recently, but "Ohio = weird" has been a thing at LEAST since the 90s. The joke is that Ohio is a strange place. If Florida is America's failed test experiment, then Ohio is the nexus for which all oddities are birthed.
23:32 - "Not being an idiot goes a long way." With all the Office references, I was kind of hoping to see the footage where Michael asks Dwight what the most inspiring thing he ever said to him was. "'Don't be an idiot.' Changed my life." "Whenever I'm about to do something, I think, 'Would an idiot do that?' And if they would, I do not do that thing."
Remember, the DGR guarantee doesn't count unless the graphic successfully displays in it's entirety. But we all know it's the attempt after the DGR guarantee attempt. That last level with the underwater going's ons is sus, is that key door at the end an achievable key from the progression of the autoscroller? or is it a dev door before going down the pipe??
My go-to donuts would likely be the Apple Fritter, the French Cruller or the Chocolate Glaze. However, I did try some that were pretty good: S'mores, Vanilla-Maple, Red Velvet...
You know those hot sugary doughnuts you get at the funfair? It ain't a day out at the funfair until I've eaten at least four of those bad boys. Oh yeah, custard doughnuts are also good.
That first level "Ohio" was SOOOOO close to being a really good level. Imagine making all those multiple paths have different enemies and challenges in them instead of just insta-kill dead ends? That would be been SO fun. Have the chain chomps in one path, have, I dunno, magikoopas in another or something. The second one was almost the same. It was SO close to being a really good level but it just... had a bit too much going on without enough checkpoints. And any time you can softlock yourself (or just have to kill yourself) that's not great level design.
i would have to go with either fresh honey crullers, or a plain blueberry donut i've always loved honey crullers because of my dad, but the sweetness of a blueberry donut will never not be satisfying
Donuts: There is a classic store in Metro Denver area called Glazed and Confused. Aside of the best name for a Donut shop, they have a breakfast Bacon donut, that is just delicious.
Wonder if DGR ever tried going on top of the wall next to the first pipe in that last level. They give you a propeller box, and you can see the top of the wall on both the entrance and exit sides.
3:22 Aha I see whatcha did there😂 16:56-18:23 POV you listen to DGR talk about donuts for almost 2 minutes😂😂; also mine would be chocolate with sprinkles!!^^
Dave's videos are so much more appleasing to watch, when he is not constantly looking a the twich chat. I wish he would do more only YT-Videos, but I think this will remain an unfullfillled one...
Maple Bars are my jam. Just as long as they're not stuffed, any stuffed donut is disgusting to me, but a nice fluffy bar with maple flavored frosting is my forever donut.
I love chocolate iced cream filled donuts from Krispy Kreme! Great for eating while watching an episode of the mariothon recap. :-P If I was ok with eating unhealthy, getting excessively overweight, and dying young, I'd eat at least half a dozen donuts every day.
My favorite donut would have to be glazed donut holes because they're just the right size, and I've eaten those the most out of any donut. I don't eat a lot of sweets, but when there's donuts, count me in
Favorite doughnut is definitely a warm Boston Kreme from Krispy Kreme. There's nothing quite like that melty goodness and that, friends, is why it is my favorite. 🍩
I’m from Michigan and I’ve heard of Ohio as the armpit of the country for more than 20 years 😂🤣.. also love the content I’ve almost watched everything you have posted but I’m waiting for a live to subscribe 😂
My two favorites are both from Tim Hortons. I REALLY like their Canadian Maple donuts with the cream filling. They don't always have those, so I can easily make do with a Boston Creme. And second, their Apple Fritters are nice and hardy. You eat one of them, and you basically feel like you actually had some food of substance. :) Both are delicious. I have had a few bad donuts before, but nothing to swear me off of donuts yet. I'll still nom on what I see, when I have it available. :)
I live in the city with the last Mr. Donut in the US. Most of them were converted into Dunkin Donuts. It's an amazing little place. I think my favorite is the Apple Spice donut, which is a powdered sugar covered donut with an apple filling kinda like those Hostess apple pies. They're delicious.
Imagine a nightmare scenareo that has rng from game to game. In addition to the rng there are elements of the level itself which vary from game to game. It is called Fire Emblem Awakening Lunatic+ and there are only two players in the entire Fire Emblem community which understand it on a high level. Though, there are around a half dozen+ players who can simply beat that mode in addition to those two.
Day 23 of asking Dave when the next Mariothon recap will come out. Yesterday's episode messed up the order too, but it was worth watching. But I always love a good youtube exclusive uncleared levels episode! Keep up the good work.
My consistent favorite donut is Raspberry jelly filled. My favorite when I can find high quality ones is lemon filled. Bad lemon filled are disgusting, good lemon filled were sent down from heaven as rewards from on high:D Least favorite.... Probably Banana cream... Since I HATE bananas, lol.
Hey DGR, I have a video idea. You should do a special Uncleared Episode where you try to beat some of the lowest clear rate levels of the month (or even 90 days)!
I agree that there are no bad donuts... as in no bad *kinds* of donuts. Every kind of donut has the chance to be delicious. But I have definitely had bad donuts. If they're stale, or just plain old not made with the love that donuts deserve, then they can be kind of awful.
We used to love the doughnuts at our local supermarket, but they’ve really messed them up recently; they’re tough, over baked maybe, and offputtingly bland. Very disappointing because they were so good before…
I'm not a big fan of Donuts but when I was young on christmas time there was always a little shop on wheels who sold "Donuts". They looked more like little Donuts made of Churros and was served with sugar and cinnamon on. I don't know if the taste is the same like Churros because I never tried them. It tasted more like dough then Donuts. Same goes with Hot Dogs. I don't really like them because of the bun but in germany they used small baguettes, cut off one end, stuff the sussage inside with ketchup, mayonnaise and/or mustard. No one would call that original but it was my childhood. 🙂
As far as Donuts, I enjoy Boston Creme Donuts from Dunkin, but one of the best Donuts I've had was a Bacon Apple Maple Glazed Donut from a Hole in the Wall Shop in California... I miss those... 👍🏼🤤
To squash the whole "Ohio is the new meme" thing, M*A*S*H had a character named Klinger who crossdressed to get out of the Army, and he was from Toledo, Ohio. Also, John Denver covered a song called "Toledo" (I do not know who originally did it) about Toledo, Ohio being boring.

Is Dave a Zoomer?
i saw a resurgence of the ohio meme abut a year ago in the elden ring community using it to refer to the rot infested wastes of caelid
I think Wyoming may have taken it’s place, as it’s existence is questionable. 🤔
Damn I had no idea. Now that's culture
You’re right
Plot twist: Dave was born, lives, and raised in Ohio.
Now it makes sense why Dave sometimes rages in weird ways
@@Akona-ys4cx PERFECT SENSE
He says "zed"
No, that's MatPat. He stated in one of his videos, I don't remember what channel that was, that he was born in Ohio
Western PA, which is pretty close.

"'Don't be an idiot.' Changed my life." "Whenever I'm about to do something, I think, 'Would an idiot do that?' And if they would, I do not do that thing."
"Checkpoint city is a very beautiful city" is a sentence that I go out of my way to use everyday.

I love you
Thx for saying that.
Get Dave to fall for any trap: point an arrow at it
Or point lots of arrows to what, at least in his mind, is a definite soft lock. "Now, why would ANYONE go in there? ...oh."
Well, it does help Amanda lead him to doing chores
I know we never want to fail, but the fails make the levels fun.
14:58: 🎵Scooby Dooby Doo, is that you?🎵
11:38 Mario just teleported off screen lol 😆
18:07 my favorite donut is Bavarian Créme. Boston Créme is a close second
"Am I hip? Am I with the times?" I think we can already say "No, Dave...you are not."
Remember, the DGR guarantee doesn't count unless the graphic successfully displays in it's entirety. But we all know it's the attempt after the DGR guarantee attempt.

21:30 That was a death that sticks with you
Gonna answer the donut question with a chocolate old fashioned! Used to call them "truck tires" back in the 90s. Darn it, now I want one!
1:33 I’m surprised DGR didn’t see that dead end path earlier at 1:07
That's just DGR being DGR
This happens to me some times, it's because he didn't notice it because he was focusing on another thing
My go-to donuts would likely be the Apple Fritter, the French Cruller or the Chocolate Glaze. However, I did try some that were pretty good: S'mores, Vanilla-Maple, Red Velvet...
Great to see good levels in the Uncleared series! Concerning donuts: maple-bacon, that's what's shakin'
17:35 why does bro have such an extensive knowledge about donuts
5:03 missed opportunity to say stating off with a bang
blueberry btw, bc blueberry flavored everything is the best
2:26 You've been Ohio'd!
love this series so much fun!
dave going on and on about his favorite donuts is peak dad energy
You know those hot sugary doughnuts you get at the funfair? It ain't a day out at the funfair until I've eaten at least four of those bad boys.
Oh yeah, custard doughnuts are also good.
The donut holes at my local donut shop. I don’t know what they do, but it’s legitimately the best glaze I’ve ever tasted.
Why was i thinking of something else 13:30 lol 😂

I would eat a doughnut with frosting and sprinkles because I love sprinkles 18:23

Yes he does a delicate mixture of old and new by changing the sorting order

DGR on tilt 15:48 😎
"It's not that long, it's nit that hard" 😅 Dave always setting himself up
Lol it's not the new meme
It died last year
But I like that there are levels to it
The close up of Steve Carrel was perfect lmao

'oh, how the smacking of that axe feels so good.'
DGR, May 2023
I think the French title was "strange water tunnel" or perhaps "worrying water tunnel" guess from cognates at least could be way off lol
i would have to go with either fresh honey crullers, or a plain blueberry donut

Donuts: There is a classic store in Metro Denver area called Glazed and Confused. Aside of the best name for a Donut shop, they have a breakfast Bacon donut, that is just delicious.

Custard filled maple bars... but I'm diabetic lol
Whoa whoa whoa. The OHIO of levels SURELY means the greatest of all levels--charming and fun and intelligent, while perhaps economically depressed...

*CLEVELAND ROCKS !!!* 😡

what thw fuck
Favorite donut? There's this one pretzel-shaped donut of mysterious delicious ingredients. I also like a good apricot danish.
My go-to donut would have to be maple bacon, hands down. They are elite, you can't argue otherwise.
Favorite Doughnut: chocolate doughnut hole
The favorite doughnut of my daughter (who watches DGR with me): double chocolate
dave learned about the ohio trend after its gone

Glazed, because it’s the only good donut :)

Is it just me or did the donut description bit sound like Bubba in Forrest Gump :D

Hey DGR, I have a video idea. You should do a special Uncleared Episode where you try to beat some of the lowest clear rate levels of the month (or even 90 days)!
As someone from Ohio.....this is 100% accurate
Absolutely. However, every like 7th vertical set of blocks needed to be ice, to accurately describe the weather as well. XD
also from ohio, can confirm
Akron here, can confirm, the "Ohio meme" is older than memes... XD
My go-to doughnut has been and will be Maple bars. Maple bars make me happy, they're fun and bouncy and sweet and a lot can be done with thm.
Haven't heard a good Lego movie reference in a while! 3:23
Powdered jelly filled, because those are my fav, and the filling is interchangeable
glazed twist, simple, satisfying enough.
I agree that there are no bad donuts... as in no bad *kinds* of donuts. Every kind of donut has the chance to be delicious. But I have definitely had bad donuts. If they're stale, or just plain old not made with the love that donuts deserve, then they can be kind of awful.
My favorite section. 6:07
That double clutch and choke, nice.
Donuts ist doch ein Typisch amerikanisches Ding oder? Voll mit Zucker, aber sicher geil 😂
I'm not into a lot of different Donut variation. But my favorite is having choccolate frosting with sliced coconut
Maple bars are my favorite. Always tasty and light. Add a slice of bacon on top and it’s even better 👌🏻
We used to love the doughnuts at our local supermarket, but they’ve really messed them up recently; they’re tough, over baked maybe, and offputtingly bland. Very disappointing because they were so good before…

This video made me happy 😃
My go-to donut is maple bacon, but the BEST donut I ever had was an espresso cream filled donut from the Amish bakery at Shady Maple in Lancaster.
To the donut thing. I would either choose a Boston Creme or a plain old fasioned cake donut.
As far as Donuts, I enjoy Boston Creme Donuts from Dunkin, but one of the best Donuts I've had was a Bacon Apple Maple Glazed Donut from a Hole in the Wall Shop in California... I miss those... 👍🏼🤤
Born and raised in Ohio (buckeye) as the nick name goes for a native person. We sometimes call Ohio “Purgatory”. You feel trapped.
I love a good jelly filled donut. Also maybe a vanilla long john
Q: Why do so many astronauts come from Ohio?
A: They discovered there was no place on Earth far enough away from Ohio.
For the donut part, my favourite is probably the maple Boston one
To squash the whole "Ohio is the new meme" thing, M*A*S*H had a character named Klinger who crossdressed to get out of the Army, and he was from Toledo, Ohio.
Also, John Denver covered a song called "Toledo" (I do not know who originally did it) about Toledo, Ohio being boring.
I heard it came from a virtual sign on a bus stop saying "Ohio will be eliminated"
I want my caramel fudge donut😤!
i never seen a peanut butter filled donut, sounds interesting or maybe a nutella filled one 🤤🤤
16:58 Ever had a Bacon Maple donut?
As a resident of the worst city in Ohio I can relate.
Longjohns with a creme filled center is the best doughnut!
The pink Simpsons doughnut is by far my favorite!
Favorite donut is the Tiger Tail Twist. Half chocolate half regular twist. Like a 2fer.
AS AN OHIO NATIVE I CAN TELL YOU WITH ALL HONESTY THAT THIS IS WHAT MY DAYS LOOK LIKE
I'm a man of (fairly) simple taste, my favorite donut is just a plain ole glazed donut
we all know its the one after the one after the one after the one after the one after..... the one after the DGR guarantee.
