Yes I know the story of ND. That is irrelevant when the aria is sung in a non-operatic setting such as a concert or an non-operatic album. I, as someone who is not an opera fan, love to hear Sarah and Jackie sing ND. It's a great song with a great melody.

She has the great fortune to possess one of the most beautiful Classical voices on the planet but she has NEVER said she was an opera singer. Opera singers don't use microphone when they perform in opera theaters.Outdoors is another matter because just the street noise would interfere. She doesn't have voice for opera, and she just hits the notes with no legato, bad phrasing and no expression.

Look, please learn something about opera. She isn't an opera singer, the contestants who sing arias on tv talent shows are not opera singers, so they are bad examples. No contestant on a tv talent show has ever been invited by any opera theaters, though there is a chance for young people - if they get training. As to the mic, sure when singing outdoors/where acoustics is bad, an opera singer may use it, but then they often stand about 3-5 feet away or they'll blow it. Learn what opera is.

I did read what you wrote, it showed you know absolutely nothing about opera. Opera singers don't use microphone when they perform in opera theaters.Outdoors is another matter because just the street noise would interfere. She doesn't have voice for opera, and she just hits the notes with no legato, bad phrasing and no expression.

Silly remarks about her face! Ever read the lyrics to the song? Fiercely passionate- we just hear it from old men who sing it in their sleep. Not good with hormone crazed passions, old men. Look, please learn something about opera. She isn't an opera singer, the contestants who sing arias on tv talent shows are not opera singers, so they are bad examples. No contestant on a tv talent show has ever been invited by any opera theaters, though there is a chance for young people - if they get training. As to the mic, sure when singing outdoors/where acoustics is bad, an opera singer may use it, but then they often stand about 3-5 feet away or they'll blow it. Learn what opera is.

Considering that she isn't an opera singer, it's a bit strange that she can remind you why you don't like opera. She is a pop singer who attempts to simulate operatic sound and sings an aria that no female opera singer would touch.

WOW this was the scarest performance of Nessun Dorma I've ever seen. She looks very Drag Queenish and needs to reThink about doing Opera!!! .. I didn't get half way on the video and I stopped it! Terrible performance.

Sorry, I didn't like it. It showcased the technical aspects of her voice, which happens to be perfect. But the way she presented herself in this performance... uhm no.

This is a song by a prince trying to get a woman to marry him. It's totally inappropriate for a woman to sing this aria. BTW she also missed some notes here and there and acting it the way she did is horrible.
