Nelson, you should be incredibly proud of achieving the National Master title! In the USA, NM is far from being the lowest title-it’s a huge accomplishment that reflects an elite level of chess skill. While there are titles like Candidate Master (CM) in FIDE's system or other regional titles, National Master is awarded to players who surpass a USCF rating of 2200, which is no small feat. It’s a testament to your hard work, dedication, and mastery of the game. You’ve earned a place among some of the best players in the country, and that’s something to celebrate!
Nelson, your videos are truly some of the best I’ve ever seen for chess improvement. The way you break down your thought process is so accessible and easy to follow, and I honestly think it’s because you’re an NM. Your humility and clarity make chess approachable in a way that even top GMs like Nakamura or Naroditsky can’t always achieve for a broader audience. You’ve been personally responsible for so much of my own growth in chess, and I know thousands of others feel the same. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and making the game so much more enjoyable for all of us!
Nelson, i can understand your feeling of playing the right moves even though you know your lagging behind in time , that's really a good thing about you , your a real chess player
Thanks for switching up the board. I play on the wooded board and I actually HATE your green board. But i love you so put up with it 😂. Anyway good luck sad I missed the live :(.
I get the slight feeling that Broski's a bit down on himself in this video. Don't sweat the small stuff nelsi! Commercialize these videos and you have a leg up on everybody in the game. Your lessons are extremely comprehensive and palatable. Don't let the game get you down man 2300 + ain't no joke my brotha
I think the hard thing as this level is that you're so good that your opponents can sometimes play like IMs or even GMs and there's nothing you can do about it. You can even run into a 2100 who has a flash of brilliance that plummets your rating. On the bright side, you're also good enough to have games like that.
Regarding the player at 1:18:00 ish - I agree it’s worth a report. I’m a 1700 blitz player. It’s plausible they played a great game but a lot of their moves felt unnatural for me anyway. Certainly not jumping to conclusions but I agree it’s suspicious at least
Nelson, I've been watching you for about 1.5 yrs. I would like to say that capping your videos at no more than 2 hrs. would be most appreciated. You're the content creator, so it's your decision, of course. Just my 2 pence 🎉
For real. It’s so annoying having to actually play it out. A couple times, I’ve offered the draw, my opponent declined, and then they hung their rook and lost. It’s so satisfying when that happens.
To paraphrase Kotov from his book "Think Like a Grandmaster", you will not always find a move that you like. So you need to be able to settle for a move that is the lesser of the evils and not use up several minutes of clock time on one move just because you cannot find a move that you like.
Suspicion on Serpico200 as a cheater: 1700 Blitz player is absolutely no argument. There are people that play much better if they have more time and are actually really weak on blitz (and even weaker on bullet). For example, when I was young I had an absolute distaste for intuitive play. I wanted to compute everything. Consequently, I was extremely awful at blitz compared to my strength in normal play. Also the time usage of that person was absolutely not suspicious in my eyes. You played very aggressively, as usual. Consequently, Serpico200 played a defensive line where everything was defended well (all light pieces did a good job in defending each other). Many of his moves I would have playwed as well against you. They seemed natural for me.
I honestly have to defend the 1700 blitz player who played out of his mind against Nelson because a lot of adults who learned chess during covid are pretty decent nowadays at rapid but not all of those players can be strong blitz players. Blitz games mostly test pattern recognition and opening knowledge and pattern recognition for tactics is harder to train than calculation or various openings or endgames while in rapid you actually have the time to calculate things through and prevent the blunders you would have done in blitz. So i don't think it's that suspicious if some comparatively lower rated blitz players are actually strong now at rapid. Nelson please don't let those games disencourage you, keep up the grind because we all learn so much from it and we have a lot of fun watching you play! ❤
@AlecLapierre108 maybe i was wrong with this player but people really have to stop acting like kramnik everytime. It's just toxic in the long run to suspect everyone who seems to play well.
@@arrowofkira5658Nelson has been right almost 100% of the time when he calls out cheaters. It's not like he calls everyone he loses to a cheater. As annoying as krammik is he is also accurate when calling out cheaters
@@maximos905 calling Kramnik accurate when he is accusing Danya or Hikaru is quite the trust to have in someone. He's using cheating accusations to glory himself as a savior of the chess world whilst using any means possible like the public callouts to get what he wants and he thinks he has the right to do so as a former world champion. He is a great example for someone who lost himself after a big chapter of his life ended and now to justify his worth he's going on a mission to fight the evil and that is whoever he can call "cheater" to give himself the praise and justification to make himself feel useful and all of it is so sad because he thinks that he's on a mission against the world where noone cares anymore and he has to fight alone, that is just tragic. What that man needs is a hug so he can calm down a bit so he doesn't have to blindly accuse everyone anymore. It just makes this great game of chess toxic for no reason.
Great videos. It's at shame there are so many cheaters. It spoils it a little when every second random 2200 player is playing like a super grandmaster.

for real Nelson bruh bought ur course its LIT out here 1000 avg bot beater to 1200 win to me
Think there's also LM title aswell which is lower than NM

Nelson went ultra instinct at the end of that third game.
At 47minutes missed mate in 1 but you crushed it anyways:)
Probably cuz he was telling chat he's about to get flagged and missed it. I freaked out when I saw it

Green board is hard on the eyes
47:18 obvious checkmate
some 2200 overplay him and 2400 FM lost, too many followers and engines in this games :) i think Nelson should put 5 min delay in his live

awesome playing! Thanks. God Bless you

Came for the chess. Stayed for the spicy comments about the World Championship.
wow man, that last game was a banger!
Mouse slip for the win in game three, doesn't happen too often. Haha
Excellent explanation.
Mouse slipping the best move-- I usually mouse slip the worst move😅
Serpico200 is banned now 🙂
Noic
42:30 why not take the queen first with ur rook instead of his bishop
12:40 What if you play Qxh3+!? Kxh3 g4+
They need to make a way to force a draw when it is K+R vs K+R without having to go all the way to the 50 move rule.
No

@@Lermontov41 You say no, but would it not make sense to perhaps make it a 10 move rule once it is K+R v K+R ?
Nelson, I love watching your videos, but your time management stresses me out!
Why don’t you play longer time controls?
10m usually plenty for him, not me but him 😅
@ nobody was asking/telling you anything about your time controlled chess games
Not a fan of the stone wall in the game against Kingsly. Your pieces were very stunted behind your locked center while Kingsly had room to maneuver.
Great second game
Seripico200 is now banished.
47:18 Qf7??
i'm rated 750 and someone just played the Traxler against me
that's insane right?
Not really, players in the sub 1000 range love to hit people with their UA-cam prep gambits.
Hey Nelson the subtitles are annoying can't able to look your moves properly
You turned them on lol
No no no the lowest title is mine! Noob!
Idk why you refuse to show the eval bar when going over the games you play. All other UA-cam chess players use it.
That would be akin to cheating, obviously.

Another game Nelson loses by cheating? Sooner or later he’ll lose one without cheating.
Rabbit Chess.
Serpico200- closed for cheating 😅
