AAAAAA YOU GUYS ARE SO CUTE I LOVE YOU SO MUCHHHH. You make awesome videos that make my day! I would love to do something like that with my partner as well!! I would also just like some advice about something if you wouldnt mind! TRIGGER WARNING FOR SLEF HARM ON THIS NEXT BIT: So I have just started dating someone recently for a couple of months, and they are struggling with several mental illnesses and have to go to the hospital multiple times due to risk of hurting themselves/they have already self harmed etc. I have tried to support and help them as much as I can, but at this point I don't know what to do and I feel like I am not doing/being enough for them. It can also be really draining and heartbreaking hearing all this horrible stuff that happens to them, and I really want to stay and be with them, but they sturggle to contact me and hang out with me sometimes, which can be really hard for me as well. I love them so much and I don't want to leave them, however this has been draining me and affecting my mental health, and I don't know what to do. Even if you have the smallest bit of advice, please share, I would really appreciate it! Love you guys so much! ❤❤❤🌈🏳🌈

I'm happy to try and give some advice. Firstly, good on you for trying to support them the best you can. It's such a hard situation to be in, so be kind on yourself. you are doing the best you can with something that is really tough to deal with 💗
I completely understand when you say it can be draining and you dont feel like you're doing enough. But as their partner or even just as a friend, there's only so much support you can give them. You can't be responsible for them getting better. It's is up to them. If you've placed that pressure on yourself, you've got to let that go. Someone will only get better if they WANT/are READY to get better 😔
If i was in your situation, I personally would try to step back a little. I wouldn't say that's what im doing though, because it might scare them. But I would distance myself a bit. You can still gently check in on them, but less often. Your own mental health is sooo important. and the fact that you know that this is affecting you, you're on the right path.
I would try and find a friend who you feel comfortable talking to about with all this. talking about it outloud really helps. sometimes i do this thing with gal pal where we tell each other before a convo if we just need the other to listen as we get it all off our chest, or if we need the other the step in with some advice. you could try that!
Lastly, im not sure if you are school aged, but if you are the school councillor would be an excellent person to talk to because they are trained for these exact situations. they'll know how to help because they have seen these types of situations before. Or if you're out of school, finding a therapist or psychologist will help for the same reasons. also also, you can call helplines! not sure what country you're from, but in australia there's Beyond Blue or Lifeline. again, they would've heard these stories before so they will know exactly how to help you better than i can!

Yee, I am in Australia, and still in school, and I am going to make an appointment with the student support officer. They are so SO nice, and they have been through what my partner has been through, so they can give some of the best advice in this situation. Yeah, I definetely think I should step back a bit, because I have ASD, and Can't read signs of peoples annoyance and can be a bit overwhelming and don't know when to just step back, even though hurting them was the opposite of my intention. And I might tend to text long texts over and over just because I am so worried, and I feel if I don't, I am doing a diservice to that person, but in reality, it just overwhelms and stresses out that person even more. A friendship has ended due to this, and I hated myself over it for a while, but now I am reflecting, and striving to work on improving that aspect on myself without that feeling of hatred/regret, but this was the wake up call I needed! I love you, gal pal, and your channel so, so, SO, much, and I can't wait for your next video, and wishing you and gal pal all the best and hope your beautiful, long relationship continues to thrive! Have a happy and incredible anniversary!!! 🏳🌈🌈❤🥰💓
