Tekken 1 and 2 were a skeleton of the franchise. Tekken 3 was the muscles. It defined the look and feel of it for all the games to come. This game was so ahead of its time.
Tekken 2 was my first PS game ever from that point i played and bought every Tekken game ( only Tekken 4 i skipped funny enough without knowing it would be bad) can’t remember the disk of Tekken 2 looked like that
Since everyones saying it: Tekken 1 at 4 years old with Stepdad and step siblings. Tekken 2 on a demo disc 7 years old. Tekken 3 for 5th birthday with ps1. Tekken 4 at my friends 8th birthdy party. Tekken 5 at 9 years old (most of my memories) Tekken 6 on PSP at 12 years. Tekken Tag 2 at 17 (favorite game) Tekken 7 at 20 (thousands of hours of playtime) Tekken 8? Not yet but Can wait.
It's incredible how fast the graphics improved in the Tekken series. Definitely shows how fast and how much games have grown throughout the years. But let's be real, you can never go wrong with the classics. 😊
Nostalgic Vibes... Tekken 4 and 5 are my favourite Tekken games of the Franchise. ☯️ By the way Tekken 4 had the best story and atmosphere no doubt. Also my favourite Tekken Intros of the series are 4 and 5. Especially Tekken 4, developers did a lot of things incredibly right, most storylines were incredibly cool and the atmosphere and seriousness was just on a another level. I don't think most would disagree that Tekken 4 had a great"everything-except-the-fighting" to it. Great and Epic soundtracks, unique character designs, good individual stories, and an interesting main Mishima arc revival. The thing is that it's still a fighting game and no matter how great everything else is, if the fighting bit is flawed it'll overshadow the positives. Tekken 4 is sourly the most unique and underrated (mostly because of the choices that hindered the competitive scene) but it is my favorite Tekken to date, because of the very seriousness Vibes of the Story aspects perspective. The seriousness atmosphere of Tekken 4 it's on another level in my opinion.The soundtrack is what gets me the most next to the game's atmosphere. With soundtracks like: Fetus(Prologue), Authentic Sky, Unihabited(Mall Area) Didgerhythm(Jungle Area) Touch and Go(Airport Area) and Kitsch(Beach Area) and The Inner Shrine(Hon-Maru Temple) and others soundtracks, For me Tekken 4 remains even in these days the most Unique Tekken game of the series. ☯️
Tekken 2 and 3 will always be nostalgic for me. I discovered Tekken 2 as one of my uncles had a PlayStation and one of the games he had was Tekken 2. I fell hard for it and played the hell out of it and was so happy when my family got their own PlayStation for xmas so we could play it ourselves. Tekken 3 my cousin owned. I never had it myself but i borrowed his copy and played the heck out of it lol. I had a massive crush on Hwoarang 🤣🤣

Great video but as a Tekken geek I want to point 2 things. There was another Tekken game that you forgot for Game Boy Advance called Tekken advance. Also the Hybrid came before Tekken Tag 2. Nice work though!!

I felt old for the first time a couple weeks ago I was on the computer at the SMP (if you’re in the Marine Corp you know where I’m at) and to the left of me 2 computers down this 19 year old kid is playing Tekken 3 on keyboard and I was blown away that he knew that game and was nice at it too. We challenged each other first to 3. It brought back so many memories 🥹
I have LITERALLY PLAYED ALL OF THEM, I current own the first 3 and I have Tag Tournament on the PC via an emulator. FASCINATING series, I’m looking forward to the 8th game.

Finally I like the 1997 version of Tekken 3 my childhood memories of playing as PSP handheld game 🎮 that has a lot of platform courtesy games.
Tekken 6 had a tekken force type of story mode but arcade mode and everything else was like a traditional tekken game
