Why was Mark Sheppard on the fence with continuing on Supernatural and how it impacted his performance #insideofyou #spn
Mark Shepard is the villain you cheer for in supernatural.
It's so weird for me hearing that they had been trying to kill Crowley off for so long. For looooong stretch of time in the middle seasons, he was my favorite character.
Dude he made me laugh so hard sometimes. Great character.
He carried the show for a little bit
The best charecter in the show most definetely.. quality dropped after crowleys exit.
In the episodes they were for years
And he was the best character when the show needed the most. The quality dropped absurdly and Crowley and the boys were the only things that were still enjoyable.
What the fuck was going on with those producers lol
Crowley was one of my favorite characters. Had more depth than most.
More than every other character on the show, let's be real.
He Mark Sheppard, has what I would call, presence. Not a lot of people have that.
Same
he was the best
I know right! Everytime he was on you knew that the story was going to have more turns and twists, and definitely had me lmfao 😆
I saw him at his last convention. He made a short speech with thank you's, then said don't be offended by what I'm about to do and slipped into character for the remaining of the convention. Got a picture with him, autograph, an awesome wristband that says Crowley is my king. Made fun of me multiple times during the weekend. He is, and it was, fantastic. Great guy.
The exwife idea is spot on! They had amazing chemistry so that dynamic could have been great. Also Rowena was amazing...
The second he said it, I was like “wooow! That’s what it should have been”
Her being his ex-wife would've made more sense imo, the whole time they kept giving me ex-spouses energy as opposed to mother and son 😂
@@tami3456 right also the fact that she’s scottish and he’s not like their accents are completely different no way that’d be his mom
@@guyhutukatit1204 that's so much of that's what it should have been with this show tbh lol
Considering how much he contributed to the show it was a disservice to the fans of the show to fire him as a regular.
Fight for what you’re worth. I back Sheppard 100 percent on this. On another note, it’s nice that he’s so honest about the behind the camera dealings. I’ve always felt like the cast and crew worked really hard to create this utopian view of the SPN set ….. it’s show biz, sets are NEVER utopian.
He's the one the main characters I'd watch out for and made my day when he'd show up.
Lol word. And him and Castiel doing"things"/"missions" together was always sooo funny.. to me at least lol.. Like when he (Crowley) first sees Castiel's "pimp car".. Crowley : "What are you some kind of pimp?" Lol. Seriously just them 2 together almost always put a smile on my face.
mark was as very much a part of supernatural as jensen, jared, and misha. he deserved better.
Yes well, the writers missed lots of great story plot opportunities. It's unfortunate. We love you anyway Mark
I hated when he died. The good bye boys made cry. He was one of my favorites. He was freaking awesome.
Everyone loves Mark Sheppard this is the fact! He was incredibly amazing playing Crowley! The most fantastic actor in Supernatural! It was a shock for me and my hubby to see Crowley die:(.
Mark upped the ante on the show and I hated what they did to Crowley that last season. I knew there was more to what was being let on when he left. Thank you for bringing such a fun character to life!
I met him on set once when I was background during a bar scene and he came to crafty and chatted with me. I forgot to tell him I loved him on Firefly lol He's such a nice guy 😊
even though one of his 1st jobs was on the X-files season 1 where he looks amazingly young the first thing i remember seeing him in was Season 1 i think? of Medium he was one evil bastard what else? he did a few episodes playing i think Jack The ripper i think? he does seem like a nice guy watching the cons where he did go were a blast to see how he was always being picked on by the guys
@@rolandofgilead43 I think the first time I saw him was as a demon on Charmed.. there's also an old episode of Charmed with Misha Collins as well lol. They both look soooo young it's crazy lol
THAT'S AWESOME!!! You got to work on a set of a Supernatural episode?!?!?!?! Please tell me some stories.. Please? Lol .. Also, I'm so sorry, but what did you mean when you said, " and he came to crafty and chatted with me.. " ... Came to crafty? Sorry, that's the part I'm having the hardest time understanding.. Lol I feel so stupid.. It's prob something that I'm gonna be like, "ohhhhh" or "duhhh" .. Or something/whatever lol
@@frankbarrie6785 I only did the one episode on Supernatural, I stopped doing background work for a few years shortly after that, back at it now though! I was just in a bar scene as a patron, I want to say it was around season 5, but I can't recall exactly. Crafty is basically a snack station, available to all cast and crew to grab some light snacks between takes, though normally the main actors don't frequent it (this varies from production to production I'm sure, but this was one if the few times I've seen one of the main cast poke around crafty. I'm not entirely sure why it's called that!
Mark Sheppard is a brilliant actor and he really nailed it in that show (And others)
"'ello boys". One of my favorite roles of his. And this dude played Badger on Firefly.
Mark Sheppard has killed every role he’s had, from x files, to firefly, to supernatural. Just a perfect actor.
he was great in BSG
Such a good actor in every project he’s done
One of the most talented actors
Mark's Crowley was the headline of the show. I loved the boys, but Crowley pulled the intrigue, the plot most often, and pulled gravitas to the show. The way they kind of pushed him out and gave him a lackluster end was pure crap.
To be fair to the people that kept asking if he's coming back, this is Supernatural we are talking about. I mean, how many characters have been killed and brought back? And that's one of the dangers of doing that.
That sleeve is sick! Love this guys character. Would have never guessed he had that sleeve.
that end though.
him stepping aside because he didn't want his friends to have to answer "when is Mark coming back". what a man!
All Hail Crowley
The only gamepiece on the board who didn't underestimate those denim wrapped nightmares
I stopped watching Supernatural after about Season 12 but Crowley was one of the best parts of the show!!!!
I lasted till 13 but yeah Crowley is definitely in the top Supernatural characters
Same. Mark said it: They were playing the same scene over & over. By the beginning of 13, there was no grand battle to justify the stakes, but they kept killing the boys as if they had diamond plot armor. It became a chore, and the British Men of Letters were the least scary villains ever, lol. I caught up for the finale, tho.
@@heathernks8 Yeah, that's on my list one day, to go back and watch from 12 the end!
@@heathernks8 The British Men of Letters may have been the least scariest but at least it wasn't the brothers turning evil again, that got old at season 6 hence why I stopped at 13. I still loved the show but I found myself preferring stand alone episodes that didn't tie into the main season plot
I stopped after which ever season ends with the leviathan's emerging. I just had enough I know people loved the show for years after after the fact but for me I was just done.
Mark shepherd was always a delight to see on scene. He worked his butt off and it really showed!
I love him and miss him.
I was so lucky to meet Mark Sheppard when his daughter was born. One of my best parking validations ever.
I remember when he broke the news and shared the early pics. I called her our Queen of Hell! LOL
He was kind of a long lost friend for the boys ,really unique character ,Sick em BOYS
His role was one of my faves!
Hello Boys.
It sucks that he left… wish he was there all the way!! I’m actually rewatching supernatural atm just finished season 8 his performance on the last ep was amazing I won’t say why just in case spoilers and all lol.
These two guys are the best Villians ever
I completely agree that she should have been his ex instead of his mom. that would have made her character and their dynamic so much better
Even though I hated how dabb got rid of crowley the show at this point had become pure garbage
Glad I met him. Got a photo with him, and as Crowley was the king of hell, I am doing the devil horns.
I always felt like Crowley being written off was one of the biggest mistakes in Supernatural. And the way they did it made absolutely no sense at all. No matter how dark the stories of the season got, you could count on Crowley to bring in some funny lines. Mark did a fantastic job of not only bringing that character to life but also taking a villain and making him likeable. That’s something that isn’t easy to do. My biggest gripe in shows are when they take a well loved character and kill them off for no reason in a way that doesn’t advance the story. There were so many ways to send Mark off as Crowley in a much better and more meaningful way.
Never knew Marc had a nice traditional Japanese tattoo
STERLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love his t-shirt.
Hey Michael Rosenbaum it's me Nick Rogers..I'm a huge Smallville, Supernatural or one of y'all's fans out here in Pasadena TX, Keep up the good work on your pod cast with celebrateties you have as your guest or talk with aswell !...Good interview with Mark Shepperd aka Crawley from Supernatural, I Lex Luthor and Crawley would be cool Tv's Villain to join forces in a cross over from Smallville to Supernatural!..In a Small verse or Universe, anything could happen! Lol😎🍻🍻
Crowley was one of my favs. I was pissed and butthurt that they didn’t bring him back in S12.
HE HAS A SLEEVE TATTOO? I would have nevere guessed that . :O
He had some on his upper arm since he was younger but just very recently got the sleeve. You can see progress on his insta.
I met Mark and the main cast in like... 2017? They were super nice. Still have the autographs and photo ops :))
Played his parts well, enjoyed much.
Late fan and just got past Crowleys death. :( My #1 favorite character! Isn't the same 😢
I was happy to see him in here.
I was so sad not to see him on the finale. Meg and Crowley favourites. Paul Lazenby died how many times but always came back… I noticed the demon keeps returning
LOVED Crowley. And I would love Sheppard as a lead in a well written show. But damn, WHAT is that tatoo?? Some kind of pain to wallpaper a whole arm like that!
I love this podcast the actors are honest
He's a king to me!
Crowley is my favorite one of all the bunch even tho I love Dean, Sam and Cas with all my heart but I truly felt the show missed a step with Mark Sheppard.
Crowley is my favorite he is always prepared and never dies, every character had died at least once but Crowley always thought fast and escaped death the only time he died was when he killed himself
I honestly felt like the best arc for him would be him becoming an angel and saving the boys.
Your ending was phenomenal and it was endearing. I cried but I wasn't sad it was a good ending for CROWLEY. It was a selfless act to save the world. The boys were humbled.
Would've died PLENTY of times if not for Crowley , plus castiel is so trash 🤦
Crowley and Rowena are my favorite characters on the show. She as ex wife would have been amazing lmao
Crowley was easily my favorite character
Wow I would have loved them being wife and husband ! They certainly had the chemistry for it !!
He is an integral part of the show.
King of Hell and Lex Luthor in a podcast
Crowley is the reason I trudged through the first 4 seasons with my partner again. To show him the show. The reason being because Crowley makes the show glorious. They would have had a much shorter show without Crowley.
I can't believe they did him dirty like that.
Hope he stays with Doom Patrol, such a lovely guy!
They can easily make Crowley spinoff series and I 100% would watched
Give us a Crowley spin-off, could be an origin story to his rise to power!!
after he was killed off i kind of lost interest in the show, only like finally finished watching the show a few weeks ago
Crowley's demise was so fuck!ng diabolical
Crowley needed the full circle ⭕️ story line where he got to heaven in the last episodes
Love crowley and his death was ok just like ending of the show still split on it and brought everyone back should brought him to but loved crowley.
crowley owned the screen when he was on
supernatural needs a full length movie
As much as I love Sam and Dean Castiel and Crowley are my absolute favorite Secondary characters
I watched Supernatural because I like it ... but then Crowley showed up and then I freak'n loved it!!! I stopped watching it when he got gone!!
Yo not Crowley being tattooed as FUCK LMAOOOOO
I was so sad he wasn’t on the finale. Crowley and Meg were my favourite characters. Paul Lazenby died repeatedly, a demon.
I met Mark Shepard and can honestly say he is a humanist. took the time to make sure everyone was treated well and fairly and took a great memory away from spending a few moments with him
I didn't care for him being a demon but he played that part perfectly he had the best sarcasm and jokes I was a fan from season 1-11/12 after that I hated where the show went fighting god like no the whole reason that show was great was the fact that god was no go for fighting because he is god and Sam and Dean have fought for him to save the world then fighting against him killing Crowley the earlier seasons up til like 8-9 then it started to lose that authentic silly but serious brothers against the world we all grew to care for supernatural was a huge part of my childhood shame they ended it badly and the writing got goofy
I didn't know he doesn't even go to conventions any more, that's really sad. The fans love him, so why not? At least that would have saved folks asking Ruth, they'd have asked him!
What a sleeve
Rowena Being Crowley’s Ex Wife Would Be Hilarious , But I’m Not Sad They Made Her His Mother…. i Loved The Love&Hate Between The 2
mark should be the next doctor
The best character next to Dean basically the whole show
Obviously its not going to happen but a French Mistake episode after Crowley left
The boys end up in a fan convention and meet Mark Shepard there
what does the "i don't do windows" thing mean?
I loved his character but they turned him into a softy, which I didn't like.
the exwife idea is so good. i always thought it was weird that they played a mother and son yet had completely different accents like that makes no sense.
Crowley worked hard to get away from his roots because he hated his childhood. He probably lost the accent even before he died!
I know what he means. When Crowley mentions that he hookup up with an angel in Babylon, which was destroyed a millennium before Fergus Mcloud ( Crowley) was even born, that annoyed me a bit.
CROWLY
Will always love you Mark you where the best good bad guy on television !!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow
They should have kept Crowley and killed off Castiel (permanently)
Why do some people think that to push forward one person, they have to diss someone else? Theres room for both….just cos you personally don’t like a character, doesn’t mean that thousands of others don’t love them. There’s a lot of fans that loved BOTH the characters, and tbh, Cas got a pretty raw deal from the writers too
I missed Crowley...
Never really thought about it but Rowena being Crowley's ex-wife would definitely have been better.
The way how Crowley died in season 12 still doesn't make sense to me. He should've died fighting Lucifer but instead, he just stabbed himself without inflicting any kind of damage to Lucifer
Show wasn't the same anymore without Mark as Crowley. Good to hear that fans are asking when is Mark coming back.
Always feel Season 12 being the worst of all seasons
Crowley should've been let go for another character. They could've dumped Samuel, Mary Winchester characters. Also the British men of letters shtick was trash also.
It's too late now, but a Crowley spin-off could have been successful.
? Why did he need to be on the poster
Cuz he saw himself as basically one of the main characters
@@frankbarrie6785 wow talk about putting a negative spin on it. Actually it just means that if he was on the poster he was guaranteed a certain minimum amount of work….which is fair enough. He’d been a draw card character for season on season….I think it’s totally fair to expect a regular spot and the fact that they were relectant to give it was telling.
@@catzkeet4860 lol negative spin? I was just stating it... Lol didn't mean for any negativity...
Tbh, Killing Crowley is the dumbest decision they've ever made.
The show after him was never the same. huge downgrade !!!!
too bad....Cass/Dean/Sam/Bobby/Crowley/even Lucifer with Rowena made the show... the boys mother should have stayed dead... I didnt like her... AND Lucifer's son Jack....nope...not liking his character.... Rowena and bobby and crowley had so much personality....they were amazing....EVEN SAM WAS boring & ANNOYING.... anyways....All in all great show but you let go the wrong actor...and kept the wrong ones that killed the show eventually....
I did not miss Sheppard and/or Crowley when they were gone. This kind of stuff reinforces why. Yeesh.
why do clowns have to ruin everything that is good
