Pete Heller usually worked in the studio together with his partner Terry Farley. "Roach Motel", "Fire Islands" were projects which gained lots of respect in the 90ies electronic underground scene.
The story goes that one day Pete Heller was sitting alone in the studio because his partner Terry Farley went to see a game of his favorite football club "Chelsea". In this spare time Pete was fooling around with a disco sample. some 12 hours later a 15min version of "Big Love" was born. Of course a quiet long length but because of a lot of filtering Pete Heller just managed to cut it down to 10 min. Long. The Version you are listening to. He sent out some white pressings and contacted his label "Junior Boys Own". The reaction where immense but because another "Filter Track" by "Stardust" was hyped at the time it took nearly a year till finally "Big Love" was released. Within this year a Junior Boys Own, who did a deal with major company FFRR created a huge buzz around this track. Worldwide Top Ten Positions had been the result and even nowadays just a few seconds are enough to create a big smile on so many of us...
