It's a really good cot I basically live on an airmatress for the last year and got sick of having to pull it out and tear it down every morning the cot is nice and easy very comfortable
I agree. I spent a few decades thinking that air mattresses were the way to go until I found this solution and then when I added the 3" memory foam pad, that made an incredible difference. Rick
Well thanks for the nice comment and I'm glad you liked the review. We have a lot more reviews coming about camping and accessories. Thanks again for stopping by. Rick
I just picked up the same cot on Facebook Marketplace for $80.00 and it was used for 5 nights for a temporary sleeping arrangement. I love it for that price, I find it hard to spent the 239.00 that REI wants for it new. As far as the legs folding under, I cured that with a few 8 inch velcro straps runnung from the top of the legs to the frame on one side of the cot. The biggest negative I have with it is that it dosen't have a carry bag, but don't let that from keeping you from buying one. It is truly the most comfortable cot I've ever had and with a self inflating matress it's heaven.
That's a great question, but as I don't own those and have not tested them, I don't know, however, you've given me a great idea to purchase them and do reviews, plus comparison reviews on them. Rick
I'm glad you like it. Mike and I really love sleeping on ours, especially with the 3" memory foam pad. It feels almost like sleeping at home. Thanks for letting us know. Rick
I bought it at the REI store here in Denver. I just added the cot to my cart and there is a shipping fee. Let me know if you have any other questions. Rick
I use one like this one in the link here. amzn.to/3XWQwZ4. Mike uses a 5" foam but he has admitted that the 5" is too large and harder to pack on our trips. Let me know if you have any other questions. Rick
The set of legs near the head of the cot does have a locking mechanism, but the other two set of legs don't. The locking mechanism is really meant for if your transporting the cot or you want to have the back at an angle if you were sitting up and reading or you are relaxing and enjoying the scenery. The Cabela's Lounge Cot does have a locking mechanism for each set of legs, but this seems to be an added safety feature and I personally don't think those locks are necessary. Let me know if you have any other questions. Rick
It lays flat length wise but width wise, the edges angle up some to help keep you near the middle. It also has a little extra padding for the head rest. It is the largest and most comfortable cot I have ever had, plus when I add the 3" memory foam, it's almost like sleeping at home. Let me know if you have any more questions. Rick
I just bought mine today and picking it up on Friday. I saw another video mention putting a pool noodle around the middle bar so you don’t feel it when you lay on it. How’d it feel for you?
I put a 3" memory foam pad on top and wrap a fitted twin sheet around it and have never slept better when camping. I have another video on how I make the bed with the same cot. You can see it here. ua-cam.com/video/zalaOejNUFU/v-deo.html. I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Rick

Perfect! thanks. I read the reviews on the REI site for this- but really wanted to see it unfold and set up. Nice review!
Glad it was helpful!
Rick
Purchasing one today! Great review, i subscribed
Thanks for the sub! Let me know how you like it.
It's the best way Mike and I have found to sleep when camping, unless you have an RV.
Rick
This was very helpful! Thanks - and you are absolutely "pretty" enough for this demo... 😊!

I agree and I use a 3" memory foam pad and it's nearly like sleeping at home. Thanks for letting me know how you like it.
Rick
Appreciate it brother!!! God Bless! 🤜⚡🤛
Glad you liked it. The REI cot is great, but it sleeps even better with a 3 inch memory foam on it.
Rick
Great review.. was wondering how it compares to the similar and lower cost ozark trail north fork and cabela cot. Made in same factory perhaps?
That's a great question, but as I don't own those and have not tested them, I don't know, however, you've given me a great idea to purchase them and do reviews, plus comparison reviews on them.

I just bought this cot on sale for $130. It’s really comfortable!
I'm glad you like it. Mike and I really love sleeping on ours, especially with the 3" memory foam pad. It feels almost like sleeping at home. Thanks for letting us know.
Rick
Hehe was it at the annual REI sale? Cuz I just got mine for $130 today
Kinkdom cot is it weird name for it - LOL 😉
Yah, I'm not sure how they came up with it but they didn't ask me. It is a big and comfortable cot though.
Rick
Did you have to pay more for shipping or did you buy it in the store?
I bought it at the REI store here in Denver. I just added the cot to my cart and there is a shipping fee.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Rick
What memory foam pad did you use?

Why don't the legs lock?

Doesn’t lay flat or are there ridges to it?
It lays flat length wise but width wise, the edges angle up some to help keep you near the middle. It also has a little extra padding for the head rest. It is the largest and most comfortable cot I have ever had, plus when I add the 3" memory foam, it's almost like sleeping at home. Let me know if you have any more questions.

@@mikenrickoutdoors Thank you for getting back to me.
No problem. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Rick
Do you keep warm on it
Yes. With the cot below and the 3" of memory foam, I sleep really warm.
I apologize for the late reply.
