I am glad you don't play music. This way we can hear the running water or the birds chirping or any other sounds of nature. As a city person I love hearing all the nature sounds.
Yeah,I agree with you Jolene Wandersee, the birds and the water rippling over the rocks--really soothing--it can be so relaxing---relaxing --sooooothing--my blood pressure just dropped 10 points--lol-really,it is great
Jolene Wandersee
EA has us ALL spoiled with his vlogs.
Yes! No music!
Jolene Wandersee thank you all
+Exploring Alabama Well I'm not a city person but I agree no music!
Just found your video and you have me cracking up! You ask and answer all the questions you know people will ask. Too funny. "Library penny! Why do you call it a library penny? Because it looks like most libraries and I found it." Lol
The creek is gorgeous. As a rock hound I’m just dying over here....just...out...of...reach. I’d like to find a little spot like this for my daughter and I.
Love your demonstration of the kick stand.
That underwater view is amazing!!!👍🏻👍🏻
Are caltrops the new pull tabs? Nice listening to you talk, the sound of the birds and the running water. Nice and peaceful
Love the underwater shot between 34 and 39. I honestly felt this woukd be a great opening in a film.
I like your style, Alabama. Combined with the magnet, that is the most productive way of hobby treasure hunting that I've come across on here. Thank you. And I just subscribed.
First time watching your videos and you are cracking me up!! 🤣🤣 Subscribed!
Oh good another long video, love the long ones and to ear you talking and no music!Love the creek and nature sounds too!
Love your video. Very relaxing, especially with the running water. But also love your accent! Hi from Australia
Haha the Bob Ross of detecting
Hit the nail on the head
At 24:50 the screw-on object that you found is a screw to tighten a hinge on a window from around 1850 to 1930 but are still used in old homes like mine as an antique decoration.this is my first time watching your videos and I am very impressed and I think I will stay around a little bit longer. Cheers.
I just happen to run across your video and I have to say I laughed almost the whole way through it LOL!!
glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching
The pointed thing with threads is I believe is the top screw of a lamp to hold shade on..
Boy am I glad you got me out from under that water I was about dying under there. It's hard to believe there is any stones in that creek for all the nails and other assorted metal. x
It looks lovely and clean
I think I told you once that I could hardly believe the amount of metal you can retrieve from that one creek. Now, I'm starting to find it INCOMPREHENSIBLE how much you get out of there! I mean, in a couple of square feet, you run your magnet over the bottom , get a metric snotload of stuff, and do it again and again in the same place! WTF anyway? I live in a seaport city that's been inhabited (by Europeans, anyway) since the very early 1600s. Our last venture to the harbor, my wife and I not only found NOTHING, but lost one of our magnets! Color me envious!
@33:50 "Ahh look at that variety pack"! BIG smile* :)
It is a lamp finial. Enjoyed the video.
You continue to innovate new was of searching. The lens idea is fantastic.
Love how clear the water is
I am here for the comedy, but I do like it when you find stuff.
You have me laughing out Loud! Really enjoyed the video!
You are truly in touch with your inner child. These videos are so wonderful 😊 don't ever put back ground music. Do you ever find arrowheads? Please don't stop sharing yourself and your beautiful creek with us.
That's the nicest looking city creek water I have ever seen! Try scooping in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse city creeks. You'll take your life in your hands !
Wow that water looks so clean
That snap he dropped I was waiting for him to sing that song... You Were Mine For A While.
dont know why but i like your vids you are so calm in voice
Keep up the good stuff PEACE
Dry sense of humour, no background music - consider me subscribed Greetings from the UK 😬🇬🇧👋🏻
thanks!
I’m in too ! Lol I like his sense of humor.. hi from Connecticut!
Relaxing funny knowledgable adorable just watching him go thru rocks
Great video,I'd be bringing the ol metal detector to save some time, but this is your dream and a funny one.
Fun! You should get a pin pointer to help you sift through! Good luck!
Watching from England, before i go to sleep very funny viewing. You're a natural, can't watch when people are over the top
thanks
love your videos. You have a fun sense of humor.
Sworiginal Sworoi thank you
Yes good video and thank you for no crappy music!!
i loved those lids; button biters and marble munchers; maybe next could be some coin crunchers or chewers :)
This looks soooooo fun!!!! The water is crystal clear..so jealous!! Mississippi doesn't have water this pretty!!! I need to come over to ALABAMA and go creek diggin'......LOL
This is the 34th time trying to watch this video because his soothing demeanor kept putting me to sleep.
Super nice video, thanks for taking me along. That clay amazes me. Is it the kind that could be worked and fired?
"A lotta people ask where I got this... shaker basket... I got it from my shed..." Spoken like a true American!
Amazed on how nails! I'm naive to how much junk is in out waterways....Thank You for getting this dangerous stuff out of the water!
For those that are interested in the shaker basket. Sounds like you need to go to the chipper and see what they use to take the chips out of the oil ;-) 🍟
Of course I always see things and wonder what they are. Like in top part of your hand at 19:45. Ring? Often wonder if you go back to look for anything. I guess you do since you went back to look for the caltrop.
ever find street sweeper tines , steel flat 1/8 inch wide eight or ten inches long, good for making cleaning picks and such
I keep trying to figure how those caltrops ended up there. They're kinda heavy to have washed down from some battlefield upstream. Cool find. How many is that now?
Man I’ve been watching your videos n just noticed you live like 45 mins from me lol I live a few mins north of Birmingham. I go magnet fishing every weekend well my wife takes over just about everytime lol.
I'm south of bham, a tad anyway, so we even closer
AWESOME BLOSSOM 🌻
I'm having to catch up on your vlogs. I have been turning a smallish plain, pink, plastic Flamingo into an Alien Flamingo for a contest to draw customers into a new business. This weekend is the Allien Festival in Roswell, NM. I used stuff from my dirt larking, i.e., glass shards for feathers and old automobile parts, anyway just TRASH. Spray and hand painterd the shards. He turned out quiet classy. Forgot to take a photo yesterday but I will later.
nice video thumbs up and keep enjoying yourself. cheers,
For a city flood control.. the water sure is really clear
Great video
24:37 maybe a top to a lamp to hold the lamp shade in place.
cool under water shots !!
thanks
No music!.. Really enjoy your videos.. Even when you find little.. You should take all that scrap metal and put it in a 55gal drum.. When it's full... Scrap it for money!
Oh yeah and interested in getting a magnet like yours too...just so I can try doing this...
Build yer self a hardware cloth sifter. Works great and anything bigger than a dime stays in👍 we use them to sift the old city dump.
This is a lead-free comment. I enjoyed your video. you made me laugh alot.
I Was thinking of magnet fishing At Lake Mead in Las Vegas and maybe I'll pull up Jimmy Hoffa. 😂😂
no...Jimmy is buried next to Marcy State Mental Hospital in Utica. They dug his grave in full view of the inmates of whom no one would believe. Authorities checked the end zone of Giant's stadium because of so many references to it...and came up empty.
There was one tiny fish in the last 10 to 15 minutes or so kept coming back to see what you were doing.
If you don't know it already... caltrops are also used in foundry tumble mills to polish iron and steel castings. I worked at Stockham Valves in B'ham and we made them to use for that re-purpose 150 years after the civil war occurred.
I do. Still lookn for some that are remotely similar to Civil War caltrops. Can't even find a pic online. If you find one let me know, I even contacted several foundries and sent pics, nothing similar. thanks for watching
Slowly watching your video (over days as I love it but get pulled in other directions) and for all thise asking about where you got your shaker basket, my guess is it is a type of deep fryer basket
These videos are so relaxing, you should list them as ASMR (or whatever they're called) video's.
Great finds.
Should I whisper or chew on a stick?
Exploring Alabama Nah, the water does that for you. Lol
What a wonderful idea--I would like to see you under water whisper to the camera--it will be awesome !
That is a finial to a top of a lamp to hold the shade on or a decoration.
24:52...that is a topper for a small clay design thingee...I think...like those decorative mini figurines...i will see if i can figure out how to upload a picture here
That threaded thing is the top that screws on your lamp shade.
@24:37 Lamp finial. It screws onto the top of a lamp harp that holds on the lampshade. @25:00 this spiral is one of the two cylindrical blades from the inside of a pencil sharpener.
Oh, my point was, I used stuff like you are picking up with the magnet.
Love your vlogs still.🌻
betty kuykendall please email me a photo
Exploring Alabama
Okie Dokie. I never sent the Halloween Beer Pong challenge. It was NOT family friendly with bunches of F bombs.
Exploring Alabama I'll be picking up my flamingo today or tomorrow and will sent photos.🌻
pin pointer after the mag on the flat rock. will it speed up ur recovery time??. great vid.. cool finds.. it's all tuff
With as many nails and bolts washers an such u find u should toss it all in a pile it will add up as much as u do this over time ,it coul be a truck load tossed in with the rest of the more expensive metals in one trip it just adds to ur cash pile ,and it cleans the creek too,and all tgat small stuff will compact better then big chunks takes less space
PLEASE NO BACKGROUND MUSIC! LOVE YOUR VIDEO'S
I agree your funny and love your vids
I like your style dude. By the way, why not try the spot at the end of the river mouth, usually I get a lot of other interesting things there.
Do you ever get black rocks that stick to the magnet ? they are the keepers
Varity pack, lol...
Stocking stuffers, lol
🤣😂🤣😂🤣
The thing you said looks like a chess piece is the top to a lamp. Or light fixture.
During WWII the US issued STEEL pennies. As I recall the copper ones from that period are seriously valuable.
Have you ever found any Indianhead arrow tips?
Do you collect all the metal scrap and then sell it for scrap value? :)
You should pay attention to any rusty coin sized disks you find. I found one in the city creek in my area and it happened to be a steel wheat cent. A very very corroded one.
At 25 mins, was that the cutter from the inside of a pencil sharpener? Have you tried a pro pointer to help you out a little? I use a Garrett " carrot " orange pro pointer when out detecting and find it invaluable. Thanks for rest video, very enjoyable to watch.
No on pointer unless dirt detecting. This entire hole is full of metal, I know where it is.
It's all about the 'shank!👍
Those wadders when filmed from the underwater angle make you look a lot like Lone Ranger! Dark boots angd
And blue suit. Are you old enough to know whom I am referencing? Cool videos and I agree with other comments, no music please!
i had to laugh when found the bike stand...........................still works hahahaha
I had to try
what is a library penny
Your magnet looks like the Throne of Swords!
do you recycle all the metal you take? if not, what do you do with it all?
Yes
Pretty sure I saw a flat washer in the first pile. Have you considered using a pinpointer? (metal detecting)
I can see the metal
that was a LED curtain button to hold the curtains down sewn inside the bottom corners
Okay at 21 minutes of your video. I dont want to talk about lead (not today anyway). I want to talk about your go pro. I almost never ask for Christmas presents but your video has me inspired and love the clarity you have got...maybe its just your skill...but can you advise me on go pro to get?
I use the hero 8, they not good in low light so be aware of that
@@ExploringAlabama hello thank you for info and good to know about low light. I will start researching now
Fenial screws onto top of a lamp.
à 11.00 il semble y avoir une pointe de fleche en silex
It's the top on a lamp shade.
Amazing
the thin pieces of lead you you show look like from the lead plates inside car batteries
The "Chess Piece" is actually a drawer knob, used to pull open drawers
Need to collect some of the smoothed small stones and start selling them...
Nothing like watching a grown man play in a creek talking to himself. 🤣
Was that an Indian Arrow Head you picked up at 16:00 min.?? You are probably seeing lots of them in your searches.
You need a metal detector hand held pointer.
The thing that looked like a Chess piece was a top of a electric lamp that holds the shade
Try a magnifying glass to see objects in your stone piles much better.
I love this plaaaaaaaaaace
it is amazing I agree
