I think it's less passive and more uncertain. They went in multiple times but never picked a space to sit or take for a second. So when their teammates wanted to support or work with them they couldn't because the tank instantly moved away. Like the top right. They flew up there multiple times and their Baptiste followed them ready to take highground but then DVA flew off and Bap needed to re-adjust again.
So far doesn't seem too passive but moreso that there's no meaningful action. I consider passive to be standing at choke refusing to engage - they didn't do that, they just didn't do anything of substance when it mattered.
tbf it was silver players who said they were passive. No shade to metal rank players, but they literally dont understand the game enough to know the issue 99% of the time, it's just something you have to learn in order to get out of the metal ranks
On point A, I'm a little confused how no one could snap up a kill on echo after she got booped back 2 times while she's objectively standing in attackers zone of control. Unfortunately, echoes mistake was unpunished (Hanzo's mistake as he should be able to close out a pick in those close quarters and If either dps/support cared to kill her and rotate to right high ground the point is free).
People who are stuck below gold. Use your brain when you play rank. I didn't use my brain when i play rank i was silver for a a while. Don't focus on your teammates mistake. Focus on what you going to do and do it. If you Died doing it and gained nothing try something else. learn from your mistake . There Is one rule that this doesn't apply to If you are genji and you died blame support. I need healing. Long live the king .This guy video are great.
The problem is they don't have brains to use. Instead of trying to figure out what they did wrong, they just assume they're perfect and everyone else is the problem. You can't tell someone like that to just "use their brains" because they already are using them at 100% and they still can't figure it out. That's like telling a drug addict not to do drugs.
the fact that the dva always looked at the tank and never went to harass the echo or the mercy or the bap bothers me. also when the reaper went in and death blossomed it would have been so easy for dva to keep chasing with reaper and dm to cover his ult and continue to stagger the team.
If you start usefully communicating then maybe others will speak as well. I've seen it happen quite a bit in gold where tanks are vocal about their battleplan and people follow suit.
I was worried that the dps buffs would make dva worse bc i already got melted really fast as her, but in the couple game ive played i dominated. I think its because the only way to play tank now is either be Sig or play dive. Normal tanking gets you melted. So if their tank is on the point getting harassed by the dps i just fly at the rest of the team and get picks. The hitboxes also benefit dva but dont hurt her bc she was already huge and nobody ever missed her anyway.
opposite for me. i feel unkillable as dva in the current season. extra health and armor. passive heal if i disengage. much more consistent hitboxes on your spread shotgun so your damage is up too due to less whiffed shots. as soon as i try any other tank im lost and evaporating while on dva its like this entire patch was made for me.
@@ChuuniKaedewhat is happening to me is when I try to dive I can’t I always die and when I don’t dive I don’t feel I’m doing my job and if I try to shoot the tank most of the times he is not gonna die
@@gamerstar5086 When you dive, try to wait for a single enemy to get isolated, then single them out. Just boosting straight into a group of 5 isn't diving, it's brawl with extra steps, and Dva isn't a brawl tank. Play like you're a beefy Sombra or Tracer. And try to be a little more aware of your team, what they're doing and if they can dive in with you to secure those kills.
I think that Dva's massive armor pool makes her A tier and dismissing potential for Damage Role Passive with matrix does as well. (I really want to abbreviate or nickname "Damage Role Passive" for shorthand, I think the whole game needs it)
Calling it now, incoming ball meta. Roll them over and keep going lol. dPS are now the playmakers so best thing tank can do in new season is keep them from grouping up instead of just making space

I would say what Flats may told this Dva player "stop shooting the tank". The Echo is a problem, Dva is the only counter in her comp (if you considered Baptiste too busy heal you or allies). Map knowledge is definetely also a problem that I saw too much in metal rank : there is always 3 way to attack an objective (and more on overwatch 2 maps) but low elo players only know the way the game show which is often, the worst way to attack an objective.
@@autumnlovatoryder1913 I forgot about zen . Zen make it a lot worse for a tank let me explain. Let's say you are doom you dive do some damage you get some cool down out but doom lose half health. This Dva is actually doing good. Especially with trying to build the ult and use it to create the separation the team was needing to push. If Dva would have done the tip emogg said with throwing bomb and then shooting the lamp as baby Dva, they would have capped.
I main Tank because I don't find Support fun and if I want to play DPS I'll play a FPS. This new season has finally pushed me to uninstall from how unfun tank is and how toxic players are to tanks.

The lack of DM usage and high ground is driving me nuts.
Does anyone get games where the other support plays as a DPS and blames you for not doing enough damage as the other support?
Had a tank switch to Mauga when the enemy team had Bastion, the Mauga just falling down. It was rough for us.
As a silver 2 tank player I find it so hard to figure out wtf my team is doing without comms. Nobody talks in my metal rank games 😐

i think part of this was the issue of "the other team has a zen and we don't."
At the end of the first defense the reaper was just afk in spawn too, they were getting steamrolled so didn’t make too much of a difference but still

6:37 what happened here
My favorite thing to do as dva is support my dps. There is no greater joy than dm-ing my reaper while hes ulting 🙏🙏
tanks need their own new passive
Isn't their only passive a slight resistance to CCs?
Their new passive is corners and retreating
