Old school folks like me traditionally want to associate it with rapping of the dome with no beat (acapella) or over a beat box. What you have to understand is this is a new age. And you have to have writtens. Even back in the day a lot of freestyles were written. The delivery made it not so obvious maybe. Look at it this way. Any other sport or game or whatever wether dirtbike or maybe swimming where they have a freestyle event, those guys practice those moves and tricks or techniques. They don't just make up shit out there on the fly. They put together stuff they already knew. And that's an art form. Appreciate this music we get while we have it.
