It's 20 years later and battle rap today is still at this skill level. It's a high level, but battle rap hasn't changed very much at all.
If something is already high level then there’s no reason to change just for the sake of changing. If it’s not broke then don’t fix it, comes to mind.
Battles today are more direct and the bars are about your opponent. Meek and Streetz had great skill here but the bars themselves could have been about anyone.
