This video is the equivalent of when your forced to write a 5000 word essay on a subject that could be told in 500 🤣
50***
Exactly!!! How many times did they mention the the producers of Pawn Stars were impressed with him just to use more words.
@@gomahklawm4446 😆
Yeah terrible
broooooo. i was just thinking that. WTF hahahahaha
You mastered the art of long winded story telling.
Dude repeated himself over and over.
@@mray473the video I watched just before this did the same thing in a scifi storytelling format, pretty sure its whatever AI wrote the scripts for both has a bug in it XD
I had Rick restore an antique stroller for me in 2018, it turned out great and I went to visit the shop when the item was done. I could tell at that point that the shop was declining - even though everything was "tourist-ready", there didn't seem to be much going on there. Still, the stroller was a beautiful piece of art and worth every penny. I'll never forget it.
This video repeats itself over and over - after the first 3 minutes, you may as well shut it off and live your life, just saying.
They got way too big for the business and over priced.
Bro this should have been a 6 minute video
At 17 minuets I'm tired of listening to all the talking. Mercy.
@@larryflanagan8799yep - that's the exact time that i too stopped watching
It was written by AI.
I agree they keep repeating themselves
To all the naysayers and bitchers, I personally am amazed and appreciative of the talent and dedication that some people have.
I really miss this show. Kind of sentimental to me, because my dad and I would watch it together. ❤
This video is a word salad that could have been done in 3 minutes
There are many nonsensically verbous videos on UA-cam.
I guess they can’t find editors?
I'm from Philippines. Our whole family loves this show very much. We would stay awake until 10pm every Sunday just to watch this show. He's just so pure, all about his passion and love for his works. 😢 So sad that this happened. I wish they would make their own channel here in youtube. ❤ I'll 100% support them if ever. 😢 Hope they are fine...
so basically, the ratings went down as the show got stale.. then it got canceled.. wow! that was a long video to get to that point.
Well thanks for that. After I got through a few minutes it became repetitive,so didn’t watch to the end. You summed it up in a few words for me.
@@gordonrosswhitehead5052 nobody got sick or died, no arrests, no rehabs, just the usual run-of-the-mill DUI and lawsuits
I loved the show. I went for a tour a few years ago and saw Rick. Got a nice wave too….
Like anything, it is tough to maintain a show like this. Work like this is extremely demanding as I restore things myself. Thank you Rick for the great memories.
I used to like watching Dale, he did amazing work. In my opinion his downfall began when he got involved with and married that Whacky Woman and her even Crazier Son and included them in his show.
Agreed, I told my wife when he did... "She looks like a mile of bad road."
Generational drug abuse.
Sure, because we all know her very well from seeing her on TV a little bit, and can therefore judge her.
@@jackgilchrist if it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, chances are it's a duck.
This narration is exhausting! In fact I think I need a nap before finishing my comments. That being said I do miss the cool projects.
it is painful!
As my grandmother used to say "you are taking the long way around the barn".
This was a great show, Rick always said his sons would inherit the business when he retired so we wondered what the hell happened ?
they expanded way to big, way to big..I couldn't imagine the overhead at the last shop.something is missing in the story, he could of easily downsized and yet he works out of a warehouse and everyone is gone..something happened behind closed doors we don't know about..American chooper went from huge to small and Rick goes off the radar completely..
Surely an important factor (which is completely overlooked in this over-repetitive account) is that the fashion for heavy or over-restoration has diminished, since many want only light restoration or preservation of existing patina.
This was a favorite show of mine. I was very disappointed when it was cancelled.
It was a good show but can run only so long.
I Miss That Show.... I So Loved It...
Rick Dale Age
Rick is 64 years as of 2022. He was born on December 13, 1958, in Las Vegas, USA.
Thank you! I was trying to figure out how he was a year younger than me when he looks 10 years older!
This video took longer then it took to watch 6 years worth of the tv show. How many times did you say "Restoration" in this video? And yes we get it, the producers of Pawn Stars found Rick and gave him his own show. You said that 3 times in this video.
Haha, I said the same thing. I got to the 6 minute mark and they mentioned the spin off four times. Shut it off at that point.
Even at 2x.
Getting paid by the word
This felt like a 23 minute run-on sentence.
I miss Rick's
Restoration
Rick also had a dispute with The History Channel over him wanting more money.
I liked the Show-!!! And I watched alot
Let’s just keep repeating ourselves 😮
God, I’m so sick of the AI generated stories, repeating everything over and over again. I wish there was an option to filter out AI story telling channels from your UA-cam watching. But then, that would probably be 40% to 50% of the channels. Unfortunately
I liked American Restoration better than Pawn Stars; both were fun to watch but as a mechanic American Restoration was more interesting for myself.
this video dragged on so much.
My guy said the same thing in 100 different ways. Talk about trying to money grab
American Restorations ended in 2014, not 2016, when Rick was fired by the shows producers. Another show, totally different, was started and had none of the same people who had worked for Rick's Restorations. The new show couldn't hold the audience that the original show had, so it was cancelled.
As a regular attendee of the SEMA show in Las Vegas, I saw and met Rick there one time in 2012. He was the hired celebrity for the EVAPO-RUST booth. I'm looking at his autographed picture on my office wall right now. As far as Rick attending the show promoting his next business, I never saw it. Besides, the SEMA show only allows exhibitors directly related to the automotive industry.
As far as the audience was concerned, it included more than a "white" audience.
Then, did "Rick's Restorations" restore the "Munsters Coach" (or a re-creation), designed and built by George Barris, which had the aspects of a hearse or did he restore the other George Barris creation, the "Dragula"?
If so, then why is all the footage from "My Classic Car"?
I THINK RICK SHOULD BE TEACHING YOUNG PEOPLE HOW TO DO THIS THERE'S A WHOLE ANOTHER LEVEL THAT HE IS ON WHICH IS CALLED MUSEUM QUALITY RESTORATION .
DAVID ADAM GRENIS
His prices for restoration caused the value of old things to go up. But he did good work. Discovery seams to ruin things with drama they add to their shows for rating.
I forgot all about this show. Sort of drifted away from it. It was a good show
I always felt Rick Dale was as big a scammer as Rick Harrison.
One was a professional low baller, the other was a gouger.
This video could have been alot "shorter".
Seriously, knowledge, passion preservation took up 3/4 of this irritating video
He should move to where he can be appreciated, I liked his show.
My favorite letters are G and E. Couldn't help myself.
Loved your show...Pauline
Best work I have ever seen and in Australia 🇦🇺 its the best show to watch still and every other shop has nothing on it 👌 sp I think it's good he left the seen 👍
This guy is the Best of the best at what he does.
I have learned to do some things i almost forgot to do.🤔🤗
I loved this show so much. I have something that I'd want them to work on.
Everyone loves someone whos passion & determination showcases life & inspiration..
You keep showing a bunch of scenes that aren't even a part of American Restoration whatsoever👏👏
Do you just straight copy and paste from ChatGPT? Without editing anything at all?
If they didn’t have tv. Shows they wouldn’t make a dollar.
Although his show was exciting to watch. Little did we know what happened behind the scenes. How many mistakes, how many failures, family arguments.
Well i liked the show .. there take that
the best restoration
This the official version of taking and hour and a half to watch 60 minutes! Too long. Rinse, repeat, rinse repeat, rinse and repeat….. whew!
You stated the story for 5 mins. and then stretched the vid out by repeating what you had already stated. Where was the, "fall"? That was clickbait.
The Munsters are the greatest TV show ever. I'm glad to see other people think that way 2
Loved the show
Hii i am from India and i daily seeing your show
I live in Las Vegas, everyone in the area always said there was issues with items that they worked on, and Rick was a boozer. You can tell by his nose, he is or was an alcoholic for sure. I did like the show, and it was scripted for sure by the history channel.
All tv shows are scripted. Some of them just don't have actual actors.
Some of the restorations made no sense. For example, an old collectable bicycle would be restored at a cost of several thousand dollars when pristine original models of the exact same bicycle could be bought for a third or half the cost of the one restored on the show.
That said, the end result of the efforts put into the restorations shown on the show was always stunning, i will give them that.
As someone into silver plated antiques, there is a very very important point you are missing, and that is that you are missing the sentimental value that someone might have in the item. Something might be worth putting thousands and thousands into an item if it's a family heirloom and not always about flipping an item for profit. I mentioned silver plate because any restoration spent towards silver plate will almost never be recaptured if the person who did it tries to resell the piece.
That's the case with about any restoration.
Watched it all the time then one night they changed it to a series of restorations shops and that was it not good some nerve still calling it American restoration
When you hear this guys voice you know you’re about to get a 20+ minute video that should have been 5🤦🏽♂️
8 mins I'm done never seen anything so repeatative, ridiculous couldn't imagine another 15 mins
Not to be confused with Dick Dale, the legendary surf music guitarist.
Half the restorations shown were not from Rick's show but the short-lived show that took over Rick's show.
I watched the show all the time until his son came on with his 2 tone color hair I just thought he goofed around to much and his brother who always wore flip flops..
I survived another video that should have been an email...
I left 2 1910 rare tricycles. And rics son ruined all the rubber on the wheels .my lawsui went for months by then he claimed bankruptcy
This needed an editor to reduce redundancy. This could have been a 5 minute video.
I really enjoyed that show. There is a newer show with the same name with different people. Nothing good lasts forever.
I enjoyed it.
Well that was 24 mins of my life ill never get back
I liked Kowboy. That dude was funny
Magic, It's done (except it not even the same model)! Bull!
Where is the downfall?? 23 minutes of my life I will never get back....
the voice speaks about Rick and all his accomplishments the title mentions the tragic downfall .... then uncovers the untold story behind the Rise and tragic downfall of American Restoration! the narrator never uncovered anything ..stupid but nice story ...just the same ..
Just skipped to most replayed areas to avoid most of the repetition
I kept thinking the video had somehow skipped to the beginning several times repeating the same thing over and over and over......
It feels like a 13 year old wrote the script for this.
I couldn’t make to the end! Can someone just tell me about the show’s downfall? 😂
You got your facts wrong. There was 4 different shops on that show.
The show was fine until they added too much drama and clowning around. I just wanted to see how items were restored.
I missing all those programs. Now a days is nothing. American Digger, Baggage battles.
About half of the video clips in this video, have nothing to do with Rick's Restorations.
After all that I still don't know what happened to American Restorations
How many different ways can you say "Rick Dale is a talented restorer"? Watch and find out!
7:06 at this point does it seem like information is getting repeated n nothing new is being learned?
OMG after repeated the same stuff 3 times over I had to skip to the end and still repeating everything
Where's the downfall???
I use to like this show but why so long video it a half a hour of my life I never get back
How much kickback ($$$$) did you get for this? The longer, the more $$$$? Lots of repeats. Could have been half as long. It is put together very well tho.
How can I send an item to them for restoration?
Miss that tv show would be could if it come back with his son...fouget his name but was long time ago lol
I think his prices on restore was outrageously high
is shop still open ?
merci cool
Why were so many things repeated ? I thought I was going crazy 😜
why was this show dropped
His restoration work wasn't to customers satisfaction he had his unexperience son worked on an antique desk and ruined all the metallic pieces. MY entity filed a lawsuit and he paid the damages damages
Did Rick Dale write this video himself for a court dispute?
His prices were way to expensive
Cut these clips down we got stuff to do
this story could have bee told in 4 minutes. I didn't even finish it because of the same things being said over and over and over again.
Charge someone 2 grand to spray a 2 dollar can of paint 😮
I think is older then 53 years.
Jesus it was like a classroom full of 8 year olds was given 10 facts to write a story . Then all the papers were shuffled
Then stapled as 1 script. You are lucky I don’t sue you for lost time from my life.
New title. The Rise and Rise of American Restoration. I didn't hear anything about any fall.
