Omg! When you pick it up off the plastic and tadaaaa flip it over I just about passed out! How is this so exciting? I don't know, but it's better than a action movie. Lol not kidding. I could watch this all day! Thanks so much. So beautiful 😍
These are really beautiful! What do you do with the design left on the acetone/plastic sheet?? Skins for jewellery or...??? They are lovely too! Great technique!!😊😊
I have never seen anything so beautiful. I would love to learn how to do this. What kind of tiles should I purchase and what is that white stuff you painted on it? Do you have a step-by-step instruction on how to do this and what you are using? How did you finish off the back of your coasters? I know, too many questions but I really want to learn from you. Thanks so much and I've subscribed to your channel. I just love your work Susan!
Thank You, this technique is done with acrylic paints mixed with flood floetrol or pouring medium. I have a few videos showing how to do them and I add my recipe in the description of each video. I put cork on the backs.
Thank you so much for your quick reply. I’m going to do this. I have made ceramic tiles coasters with alcohol ink. It’s turned out great, heat proof. I love what you do. My warm regards. Meera
I must definitely try this on tiles... I have wood rounds but these look lovely and I love the idea of drawing the flower then puuling it up... thank you for sharing
Dear Susan, I am watching this at nearly midnight Australian time, the colours are so beautiful, and the design. Trouble is, the music is putting me to sleep, which is a good thing considering the time it is (giggle giggle). Thank you for sharing this with us all and a big Cheers from down under.
I have watched this video several times and it just seems when you pick up that tile it MAGIC. I’m wondering how did you get a beautiful flower out of what you started with. Just blows me away.
Ya, when I first discovered this technique I was so amazed I just had to try it. I love it and will do more. I stopped for a bit when blooms came out but I think I'm going to go back to it and do less blooms. Thanks Again! ❤️
I m going to try this again. I’ve been working on flowers but mine don’t quite come out as beautiful??? I will follow your video. I always want to keep the image on the negative as well. - on the plastic. The metallic showed well on the video. Sooo beautiful!! Thank you for sharing
I watched many of your videos and appreciate that you present a process that many newbies like myself can experience good results with. (Please don't take that as an insult). My question is what difference do expect to see between pulling the plastic off from above rather than pulling the painted object from the plastic below? I may have to try both methods to see. Thanks for posting!
I've never seen this technique. I am a fiber artist out on a UA-cam walk about. Can you use the skins left on the plastic? So fun and rewarding. Thank you Susan 👏🏼
I love this shape of tiles. I've been getting them and pouring on them, too. Lowes had them on clearance recently and I grabbed all they had! These are LOVELY!!! ~ Jan
They're beautiful. Did you sand them? When you were picking them up to show us the shiny metallic paint, you could see where the paint dried thicker in places, but at the very end, they looked completely smooth.
Just starting out and absolutely love your tiles, so it’s something else for me to try! Can you use the design left onto the plastic on another coaster, or will it just be white?
I have done that 4-6 times with the same start. I add more paint in the foreground when it gets too thin….I also make sure to push the white negative space pack into the middle and add more white so that my background is remains clear and clean. If you want to see some of my results, I put them on instagram
Thank you. I tried this technique yesterday and it didn’t come out looking like a flower. I think my paint was too thin. I used left over paint from a dutch pour. Will try shsin
What is in the two bottles where you are squirting something. I'm a new person and a bit slow. Lol. I get confused. Thank you. Love it. Awesome and Thank you!!
One was just some of my base coat, the bronze one was one of my paint colours (I had some in bottles) and then the small one was also my paint (the metallic pearl white colour) Thanks for watching and Thanks.
Just watched your video and the results were amazing. Thank you for this tutorial. Also, would like to know how you finish off your tiles so they can be used for hot and cold coasters.
Wow that's a great idea and I love the way they turned out. Very pretty.
Thanks so much Lisa 😊
Lovely work with beautiful music how relaxing. Wow! My favourite piece.

Do you use the plastic for another project? I saw you using the torch on it also. These are amazing 😃
Thank You, Sometimes
This is totally ingenious. Love it. What do you add to your paint to get those tiny cells? They’re cool. Thanks
I added American Floetrol to the paints as my pouring medium. Thanks
I love these!! What kind of finish do you put on them to preserve them?
Thank You, I haven't finished these yet, I would resin them.
I watched many of your videos and appreciate that you present a process that many newbies like myself can experience good results with. (Please don't take that as an insult). My question is what difference do expect to see between pulling the plastic off from above rather than pulling the painted object from the plastic below? I may have to try both methods to see. Thank You, When I pulled the plastic off the canvas most of the time the flower looked better on the plastic so that's why i now do it the other way.
Superb!
Thank you! Cheers!
Really pretty!
Thank You
I've never seen this technique. I am a fiber artist out on a UA-cam walk about. Can you use the skins left on the plastic? So fun and rewarding. Thank you Susan 👏🏼
Yes, absolutely
Art by Susan King I'm curious what you do with the skins/image left on the plastic. This is not my area. I just think your results are so cool. Thanks
Wow, they are Gorgeous!!!
Thank You
I love this shape of tiles. I've been getting them and pouring on them, too. Lowes had them on clearance recently and I grabbed all they had! These are LOVELY!!! ~ Jan

Beautiful! 🤩 Love them!
Thank You
They're beautiful. Did you sand them? When you were picking them up to show us the shiny metallic paint, you could see where the paint dried thicker in places, but at the very end, they looked completely smooth.
Thank You, yes if you have the correct consistency it will dry flat
Awesome Job, Keep up the Great work
Thanks, will do!
Just starting out and absolutely love your tiles, so it’s something else for me to try! Can you use the design left onto the plastic on another coaster, or will it just be white?
Thank You, yes you can use them.
@@ArtbySusanKing thanks, I’ll give it a try!
These are so pretty. I'm wondering what would happen if I dipped the painted tile with another tile. Do you think I'd get a nice effect on both tiles?
Thank You, yes you could do that, there are many different ways to do this technique.
I have done that 4-6 times with the same start. I add more paint in the foreground when it gets too thin….I also make sure to push the white negative space pack into the middle and add more white so that my background is remains clear and clean. Beautifully done!!! Do you seal your coasters with anything?
Yes with resin, thank you
So beautiful!
Thank You
This is great susan, i wanted to know if you apply anything in the end after the coasters are dried up?
Thank You I added resin to them.
These are simply gorgeous. I'll have to give these a try.
Thank You
Thank you. I tried this technique yesterday and it didn’t come out looking like a flower. I think my paint was too thin. I used left over paint from a dutch pour. Will try shsin

Beautiful! Is the base resin or a ceramic tile or eco resin? Thank you!
Thank You Carolyn, they are ceramic tiles
Gorgeous
Thank You Maria
I just found your video on the coasters. They are amazing! How do you seal them for use with hot coffee or drinks? Thanks so much!
I haven't sealed any yet, I think resin is the only thing you can use for hot drinks
Such a cool method to make such lovely coasters. I can't wait to try this ❤🌹
Thank You
Just watched your video and the results were amazing. Thank you for this tutorial. Also, would like to know how you finish off your tiles so they can be used for hot and cold coasters.
Thank You, When I finish them off I will record it and let people know how it worked out.
@@ArtbySusanKing Your coasters are beautiful! How did the finishing go?
How do you cure the paint ?
Beautiful! I was wondering why you didn’t use the paint on the plastic to make another dip?
Thanks, Good question!
All 4 are absolutely Gorgeous. New subscriber here. 💜💗💜💗
Thanks and Thanks for subbing!
These are beautiful. Did you oven cure them or let them air dry
Thank You , air dry
Wow that great

Hi susan
Beautiful coasters. What is your white base coat mix? Same as other colours?
Thanks! Yes, it is!
There beautiful
Thank You
very nice... even beautiful!!! As usual...
Thank You
Of course I love your videos. Your plastic looks stronger than any off of the rolls of plastic wrap. What are you using?
Thank You, I just use any plastic I can find. sometimes the wrapper from a new canvas or a clear garbage bag. I do not use plastic wrap
@@ArtbySusanKing Thanks. I will keep my eye open for various plastic to use other than the rolls of plastic wrap.
Wow, gorgeous!
Thank You
These are gorgeous! Got me thinking about Christmas gifts! 😁
Thank You
Beautiful!!!!!!!
Thank You
Love it. They turned out beautiful 💜💙
Thank You
Susan can. Use like white chalk paint as the base paint or acrylic white paint?
No I wouldn't use white chalk paint. I use Artist Loft Flow Acrylic white paint for the base on these dips. ❤️
Beautiful!💗💗💗
Thank you
Susan what do you do with the sides do you paint those or just leave them the Raw ceramic
I didn't have to paint them , the base paint ran down the sides
Thank you
Beautiful
